Tuesdays worked well as you say ladbrokes arnt saying but surely someone knows the reason. If we were just told it would help, might not agree with it but at least we would know why

I think if we had had 1 year out instead of 14 and started up at monmore in the NL the crowds would have been nowhere near what we got when we came back in 2010. Might be wrong. Can't see Coventry fans travelling to Leicester in any great numbers for NL. Again, could be wrong

I'm impressed with the memories of some of you, I could have my subject as my life and I still wouldn't get as many as 15!!!!!!!!

Every now and again on a Friday if I knew all the work was more or less done when someone who had helped out in some way or gone out of there way ,when they were going for lunch I'd say see you Monday il finish off this afternoon. Carrot and stick approach I think it's called. One staff member did say to me that he didn't understand why the staff all seemed to like me cuz I could be a right b***ard at times. Lol. Seemed to work though. I think !!!!! It was a different time 25 years ago though people seem more fragile these days. Some of the things said back then couldn't be said today I don't think

It's a terrible way to run a business though trying to do everything, back in a previous life when I was a manager the first thing I did was get all the phone calls to me diverted to the staff. The calls were generally orders for stock and general questions. When one of the staff questioned this with me my response was I'm here to make sure everything runs right and sort it out when it doesn't your here to send stuff out. Delagation is a massive part of good man management. Obviously you need staff you can trust to do a good job but that's your job to get decent workers working for you

Would love to see Nicki in if he was mixing it but he's dip in form before the injury and then the injury I really think he will taint his past achievements if he does get in next year

I think we all agree riders deserve a good rate of pay for what they risk. However you can't pay what you avnt got. Simple really

This Sums Up The State Of British Speedway For Me...
bruno replied to Gresham's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Sums me up spot on,trouble is I'm not that bothered if I miss meetings these days. On the slippery slope? -
If some clubs close as rumoured there should be an excess of riders waiting for team places to open up so just maybe that will cut down on guests . Just a thought

Wolves -v Belle Vue 10th/11th October Ko Cup Final
bruno replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
brilliant what a rider -
I hope you Belle Vue fans realise how lucky you are, if I could guarantee the M6 behaved itself I'd be happy travelling up there regular. The same goes for the M5 down to Somerset. When you have no idea how long it's going to take to get there it tends to put you off a bit

I think I might be on less than that Steve and usually only get about 18 hours but it suits my lifestyle and financial situation now. It's not to many years ago I was on 4 times the amount I'm on now and it was still not enough
