If some clubs close as rumoured there should be an excess of riders waiting for team places to open up so just maybe that will cut down on guests . Just a thought

I hope you Belle Vue fans realise how lucky you are, if I could guarantee the M6 behaved itself I'd be happy travelling up there regular. The same goes for the M5 down to Somerset. When you have no idea how long it's going to take to get there it tends to put you off a bit

I think I might be on less than that Steve and usually only get about 18 hours but it suits my lifestyle and financial situation now. It's not to many years ago I was on 4 times the amount I'm on now and it was still not enough

Hate to say it because a fit and competitive Nicki is box office but I think if he gets a wild card he will be well off the pace and do his reputation as a great rider no good at all. Would love to be proved wrong but can't see it

I avnt given up as such yet but went to the pictures instead of our meeting tonight mainly because I can't do the Golden Hammer next week so feel my seasons finished but like so many I can't take this season serious anymore

Instead of watching this I'm off to see Peter Rabbit at the pictures and on Wednesday instead of going to Brum I'm off to see Cilla the musical and because I'm away for the Golden Hammer I don't think il bother with Eastie at Monmore Green the week before. Looks like me done and dusted this year. Unfortunately there's better value for money stuff to do than speedway these days. Il still follow it and go next year but if there's something else to do il do that instead. Just like Saturday, once upon I time I wouldn't miss a GP but il tape it now and watch it later if I've got something else to do. Drinking in this case

The Scunthorpe Workington meeting has definately had an affect on me, the work put in made that track race able but most riders couldn't be bothered well neither can I now. If we lose a few teams next year maybe the riders who think there better than they really are will find it difficult to get a team place. My heart bleeds for them!!!! Time to get a proper job maybe or ride amateur which surely is what speedway is now over here

I avnt been to a meeting for a few weeks now and with the cold weather setting in not sure il bother. Was going to Sheffield Sunday but might not bother. I'm away for our last meeting the golden hammer and with our future looking uncertain not sure I can muster the enthusiasm to go to our meeting against Eastbourne on the 15th even though the team needs us more than ever at the minute. Sad really but this seasons been a joke
