bruno replied to Barrow Boy 2's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Happened to me at Scunny a few years back the track staff did a great job after a downpour, the track was a bit dodgy for a few heats but then there was some great racing upto heat 10. You can probably guess what happened then -
Wolves V Ipswich 29/4/19 Premiership
bruno replied to stevebrum's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Track was a bit tricky early on just thinking if it's like that next week for us there should be some fun and games to say the least -
I'd go with Bewley over Cookie , the experience would be massive for him for the future . Craig was out of his depth last year. When he's on form he can be a cracking rider but not riding in the pl this year puts him below Bewley for me

After witnessing many farce meetings at Stoke thru various reasons I vowed never to return, however it seems like things are gradually being turned around so I'l be attending this season. More than happy to support a club that's trying to change things around

I have a terrible feeling it could be the circus, hope I'm wrong and it's a cracking night of racing

Anyone know the policy on rain offs as when I can use my ticket from tonight,I can't get to next week's meeting -
Bit controversial this but I was a big fan of PC in the 70s although I actually preferred Mort's style. I didn't follow speedway quite as closely around the mid 80s just going now and again . I've been checking PC's record after his win and then incredible 2nd place the year after. What I'm shocked at is he didn't really seem to be a serious contender after that. Am I talking rubbish?

I remember that race Steve but I don't think I went to the meeting so I'm guessing it must have been on tv

Fantastic well done Ricky -
He was passing riders all night as well, could easily have won that year. Was it the year after Bomber won?

I remember going to Scunny for the winter meeting and standing between the tapes and first bend wondering why nobody was standing by me. Heat 1 tapes up and 3 seconds later I could have auditioned for the black and white minstrels -
Sometimes I see threads from yesterday and have forgotten that I have posted on them
