Poole Vs Glasgow 28/09/22 play off SF 1st leg
bruno replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
How come Roynon can see stuff happening but Brannan has no idea what's happening. Very strange -
The main thing is the league season should be over by end of September for all 3 leagues with only fillers in October if teams want to run. I thought the shambles if the last few years was bad enough trying to fit fixtures in but this year could be worse. Off to Monmore tonight because it's a few miles up the road but not even considering away fixtures in October

2023 GP line up/wildcards
bruno replied to eric i's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
What about top 6 go into next year's then next 6 into challenge with bottom 3 missing out. Top 6 from challenge into following years GPS leaving the sec winner and 2 wildcard picks -
Leicester V Edinburgh 24/922 7pm
bruno replied to justathought's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Yeh not many would have done that with the scoreline -
Barmy, we should have best top 5 in the league. Reserves are suspect but top 5 should easily get a win
-
I might be wrong here but even the play offs aren't standard Premier is 1 v 4 Championship top 6 then top can choose I think in semi NDL balls in a hat I suppose
-
I can understand no one being bothered in a meaningless fixture being completed after the cut offs but Sheffield v Ipswich would probably change finishing positions. Bonkers. British speedway tho

2023 GP line up/wildcards
bruno replied to eric i's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I'm thinking top 8 from gp plus Nilsson and Holder from challenge then 1 from sec leaving 4 picks which I'm thinking Doyle and Vaculik . Maybe Thomsen deserves another go and then Fricke. But I'm also thinking a shake up is needed so maybe not Doyle, Vaculik or Thomsen or even Fricke. Interesting? -
Anyone watching this on BSN, is it dark or just my laptop
-
Why has Bydgoszcz been culled from the GP series, I know they had behind the scenes problems but as a track it was up there with the best
-
Must admit I slowly seem to be losing interest. Been to Belle Vue twice, Sheffield and Ipswich once which is massively down on my normal away fixtures. Missed a few home meetings as well. Of the 8 GPS I think I've enjoyed 2. Bought the BSN package but skipped a few of late. Even thinking of packing in the star

I've seen this said a few times, how did it work out
-
Be careful buying them on the day, they've been known to only sell the expensive tickets some years claiming there's no cheap tickets available
-
What's happened to the track, no outside yet after 10 races
-
I can't sorry, anyone else?
-
Only just got round to watching this, cracking meeting. Is Cookie ok he seems to have had no luck this year. Havvy brilliant , tells it how it is lol . Not sure he'll be on again tho
-
In years gone by I'd have been up at Belle Vue today and Monmore tonight but after a week in the lakes I can't justify a trip to Manchester and with Wolves on TV tonight il be staying home. Don't like it but there you go, reality kicking in. Wife just said when you retiring and I said never mind me retiring you might be going back to work

UK speedway slowly dying
bruno replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The one year they would only sell the expensive tickets saying they'd got no cheap tickets left which was obviously rubbish. Backfired tho cuz some of our group haven't been since -

Let's be honest there's so much more wrong with speedway than the points system. Tinkering yet again, green helmet anyone. The fiasco Saturday has seriously got me wondering why I bother and I don't normally do moaning. Lucky I have a track on my door step or I don't think I'd bother. Was going to Oxford for first time tomorrow since it re opened but il Keep money for the pub instead -
You can tell Kelvin doesn't believe in what he's saying

I can normally enjoy any meeting but this is rubbish
-
I know it's only 2 heats in but anyone feel a bit flat watching this

I get what your saying but team riding doesn't mean slowing riders down causing a dangerous situation. Each to there own tho. Also , I actually think first and fourth is better than second and third -

I know Lisa but these bikes are so unpredictable. I can just see a bad smash happening one day and then it'll be why did we allow this. I just think the clues in the name, speedway racing. I think back in the day before we had rocket ships it may have not been so dangerous. Each to there own tho, hopefully il never be proved right
