That’s not what everybody wanted to hear sadly - it seem track share is the only option short term but how well would that be supported? If it was KL they shared how many panthers fans would travel ? They might get some locals attend I guess . But not ideal at all

Why didn’t you sign him after heat 1bend 2 meeting 1 of the season ?
-
Or will Andersen switch to KL

Kings Lynn Stars Vs Peterborough Panthers

Great team spirit there that’s for sure . -
That’s that theory out the window then .
-
We had characters in the sport in years gone by now I can only think of Nicki Pedersen - in the past there was Kenny Carter and most of the American team Carter seemed to dislike especially Bruce Penhall - that American team of the 80s plenty of young girls thought they was fantastic- at Kings Lynn we had Ian Tiddler Turner a character if ever was one - but nowadays can only think of Nicki
-
Definitely needs something more to attract younger people 15 heats isn’t enough 15 minutes racing spun out over 2 hours for £22 - why does Stock Cars get such big crowds ? Weekend racing might have something to do with it I guess they seem to advertise stock cars with posters .It’s as if most speedway promotions have given up run out of ideas .
-
Even the social media bubble seems to have burst Kings Lynn Twitter and Facebook pages get little comments compared to a few seasons ago that could be down to the age of most of the punters I guess .

It’s a £15 sport at the most for many once it went over a £1 a race they stopped going now it’s way over that price £22 doesn’t represent value for money we are talking 15mins racing I use that term loosely. Everyone wants to see their team win of course but going home after a great nights racing even if the team loses I can take that . Not sure what the answers are at KL the track surface isn’t going to change the admission prices are not going to fall and it’s always a team on a tight budget . So how does the club attract fans back ? Or even keep the ones they still have ? -

He can’t wait to of load the two clubs he already own ( for a very good rate though ) in all honesty who in there right mind going to buy a speedway club ? Unless it can be off set against income tax really can’t see who’d buy and I’d question there sanity -

Lynn have called meetings off in the past when the sun has been shinning and no rain so nothing would surprise me . -
That is crazy 8 home meetings before 31st August yet had several weeks with no racing Pboro just like Kings Lynn are well out of the play off places but these meetings which both clubs have will have an impact on who finishes where in the top 4 so they are important to be run before the cut off date

Cheaper to kick the can down the road rather than run this meeting 14 riders to pay for Buster with this one - if the weather is iffy bound to put some off attending . -
The leading question for me is would it be better to put Premier - ship speedway out of its undoubted misery ? And start again maybe two seasons with one big league then see were we are at after that if enough interest split and have league 1 and league 2 - speedway had a chance to re invent its self after Covid but came back with the same old .
-
Absolutely you are correct- but least when it’s re arranged it not be on tv I wouldn’t have thought so attendance should be higher- also a double whammy two meetings in 3days to pay riders for - so can see why it’s been called off
-
And of course the same man will be paying 14 riders had the meeting gone ahead tonight and took a big financial hit on the attendance- so makes perfect common sense financially to call it off .
-
I do feel for Panthers fans you’ve had a rough season - but in Busters defence he owns kings Lynn the promotion and the stadium -Pboro he just owns the promotion and the stadiums future is up in the the air with no certainty it be available for 2024 - so if any of you was Buster what you do ? It obvious at this point he’s got to favour KL

Think Lakeside used to do £10 admission for tv meetings- they could try £10 off if you buy a ticket for the next meeting at the same time or a free programme- guess the argument is die hards turn up what ever happens so don’t need to do incentives . -

The last promoter that actually used to promote at Kings Lynn was Jonathan Chapman in the School summer holidays he ran themed nights with give always to the kids he have a advertisement board on a small truck used go round nearby Hunstanton trying to attract holidaymakers he tried - since then it’s suck it and see how many turn up - the bit that gets me they try the same old and basically hope the die hards turn up . -

Very wise words and I agree but it not just this Thursday meeting that fans need to return for its every home meeting the question that never is asked by any promotion is why fans have walked away it’s not just Kings Lynn it’s almost every club season on season crowds have dwindled with nothing being done by promotions to address the problems- your are correct in what you say but would go in a restaurant week after week if you didn’t enjoy the food just so it didn’t close ? And that’s what fans have done walked away because they don’t like what’s on offer and doesn’t represent value for the £22 .I certainly don’t want any club least of all Kings Lynn to close but was has changed since the last home meeting? absolutely nothing sadly to say . -

Sadly more professional is not something that goes hand in hand with British Speedway since the 1980s and 90s . -
Another 6 weeks 7 at a push allowing for rain offs and or others reasons for call offs the season will be over for Kings Lynn so little point in any changes now - hopefully now potential new promoter is already in contact with Buster and hopefully talks are already taking place regarding 2024 season as can anyone really see Buster carrying on running the speedway at KL beyond the end of August 2023 .
-
Totally agree - he had his family before this season started and should have definitely finished the season then stepped down - in reality he’s walked away leaving Buster to pick the carnage up and could ultimately spell the end of the club . Sadly Brady could be remembered for one thing .
-
I’d not worry about next season just yet it’s only July there is plenty of racing still to come this season - next season who knows but for some clubs just enjoy what’s left of this season as it could be some clubs last
-
Well I’ve looked on Twitter and from what I can see on Chris Louis Twitter page Chris definitely did not say what your quoting in fact he defended Buster .
