  1. I thank the club for making an early decision on Wednesday I’d have thought that was probably positive? though I’d sooner the sun was shinning and the meeting was on probably another positive? Anyway this Wednesday is off let’s look forward to week Wednesday when hopefully we shall have much better weather and have a great opening meeting.
  2. Yea I’m feeling the same with some of your comments zzzzz
  3. Well that isn’t what we all wanted to hear but it’s far better to call off now than having a repeat of problems of the past - so we’ll done for making a early decision.
  4. Well I’m pleased to no others have to same thoughts about Wednesday night hopefully the weather will improve and the meeting will be on in good conditions on a dry night - not sure what your problem is Trees obviously you have nothing better to do than travel to Kings Lynn for nothing or watch a meeting in poor conditions- all I’m saying been see it and got the t- shirt the days of traveling and getting no meeting or a poor meeting in poor conditions are gone for me for £18 it needs have everything in place for a good nights entertainment admittedly that’s doesnt always follow but if there is any chance conditions or forecast rain for the night I won’t be attending . Sorry if that’s not what you want to hear .
  5. Any prospects of rain that will count me out - not prepared to stand around waiting for the track to be bladed either - if in any doubt about the weather we won’t be attending.
  6. Where did it go wrong ? Do you mean Lee or speedway in general? Michael made his choices as we all do in life if they are right or wrong that’s Micheal to decide - as for speedway in general the powers that be pocketed the glory years £s rather than thinking long term in finding the next Michael Lee - thinking back in those 40odd years we’ve had Darcy Ward and to a lot lesser extent Robert Lambert but neither have come close to Lee talent he should and could have gone much further in speedway thing to remember is the British League was the strongest league in the world in Lee day Ward rode for us in the second league and Lambert is again in a very much weaker leage . Lee was special very special
  7. Thank you for comfiming that time plays tricks on your mind but I just knew he beat Wilson 3 times admittedly Wilson was on decline at that time but even so that was a special meeting one that I’ve never forgotten over the years one question how many of today’s meetings will be remembered 40 odd years later ? my guess not many Another special night was at Coventry when on Wednesday night with a full stadium Michael won the British Final again I was there .
  8. I was there that day as well I seem to remember Micheal whipped the then England captain Ray Wilson 3 times - that morning as I’m sure it was a 11am start we all knew we’d something very special In Lee - seem to remember overnight snow and it being freezing cold but the meeting went ahead . And yes I feel old too
  9. Absolutely good luck to Robert can’t fault him but we should be under no illusion we are bottom of the pile if that’s negative so be it I call it living in the real world .
  10. Then there is the random knee injury that crops up every now and then
  11. Very true will be good for him definitely not so sure it will be good for KL though when meetings clash and they will who gets priority on the rider ? bearing in mind Robert Lambert only cares about Robert Lambert .
  12. Well the current abysmal anthem been recorded so I’d have said yes on that one
  13. Without hearing this put to music it’s 110% better than the effort that’s the official anthem but I guess that doesn’t say much as it’s bluntly perfetic . Again copy rights could be the biggest problem .
  14. My view it’s got 0 chance of catching on - the principal is definitely right but this is a very very poor effort . One thought I’m sure the club has looked into - is copy rights because the tune not the words is definitely a copy of someone else’s work .
  15. How could she not like it with them everything Is rosey in the Kings Lynn garden blinkers she wears lol
  16. Only positive I can see out of this anthem thing is all Kings Lynn fans agree on something lol apart from the ever loyal Trees lol
  17. The only positive thing that can come out of this is the club decided to dump it .
  18. This really goes to show how out of touch the promotion at Kings Lynn is - thought this was a new beginning not a step back in time - this so called anthem is cringe worthy and totally embarrassing for Lynn fans we are a laughing stock please please remove it from the clubs website- the worrying bit is Robin Brundle thinks is great .
  19. Well what can I say - this song it’s really going to up the atmosphere in the stadium with laughter if nothing else- bet Trees will love it though
  20. Or simplest way don’t race a home meeting over the Easter weekend like Kings Lynn wouldn’t want a bumper Bank Holiday crowd would we ? no problems with double uppers or double downers missing meetings at our club but then again stock cars take priority at Easter at KL not Poland . .
  21. I’m not complaining about catering staff or stewards at KL the point I’m making Notts county cricket club can’t do enough for there customers/ fans- right from the top to the bottom they are there to make your day special, even today I’ve had a email about pre season trip for the squad . My point is speedway in general and KL speedway are competing for my £s with Trent Bridge and Notts at the moment win hands down as you say Brundle may make all the difference fingers crossed.
  22. As some will no I’m a cricket fan as well and a member at Trent Bridge- speedway could learn so much about customers service from Trent Bridge from official stewards to box office staff to catering staff they can’t do enough for you as a fan you feel valued they email fans before games about how the club is looking forward to our visit and by the time we get home there is another email saying hope you enjoyed your visit and please let’s us no if there is anything that can be done to improve the match day experience- ok two different sports one cash rich the other not in the same financial league but speedway is up against sports like this and the difference to how fans customers are treated is vast . For me it’s all about being valued as a fan rather than being taken for granted.
  23. I would say you are dead right on that one - as for communications improving they really can’t get much worse . Fingers crossed we see many improvements on and off track .
