  1. ?? What have they to do with riders missing this season? Don’t get the connection .
  2. I try as well to say good things and stay positive but all this could have been avoided with a little bit of thought .
  3. Well we shall be keeping our admission money firmly in our pockets- if speedway can’t organise it’s self better than this they deserve no fans - it’s surely not difficult Premiership should be Monday’s and Thursday.
  4. Well Iversen team Esbjerg definitely have a home meeting on Wednesday local derby against Holsted so very much doubt he will miss that .
  5. I agree - but how the sport is run you’d not be surprised if it didn’t even crossed there minds .
  6. Why would visiting teams agree to this if they are missing team members to championship clubs ? Just so we can have our Danish riders ? It’s a total farce to have to run a so called professional sport in this manner - will King’s Lynn speedway survive this season? that question might be totally over the top but who’s going to go watch when what seems likely riders will be missing each Wednesday of both home and away teams .
  7. Well I’m not going made my decision now if we are again missing riders it’s an absolute farce .
  8. We could except when the double uppers have championship meetings at Ipswich Sheffield and Redcar and of course it affects the visiting team - Lynn need to sort something though and ASAP
  9. Monday’s are not ideal wedged between Poland Sunday Sweden Tuesday and stock cars most weekends at Lynn but what are the options? Lynn as a club will suffer by signing Danish riders - how can fans be expected to turn up each meeting when we don’t have our own 1-7 we’ve had one home meeting with our own team . The organisation of speedway in this country = couldn’t organise piss up in brewery
  10. If that’s the case count me out of this one as well - whoever had the brainwave to race on a Wednesday? Absolutely clueless- should definitely have been Monday and Thursday - Think you have to question why KL doesn’t race Monday’s not an ideal night but we just might see our full team and visiting team .
  11. I might be a critic of the club but you are going way way over the top saying that .
  12. I was one of those that went come what may even if it was raining when we left for the track - not no more been caught too many times - at night at the speedway cost for us both £55 and I’ve walked out of the stadium many times thinking why did we bother going . Times have changed and so has my attitude towards the sport . It’s very much can take it or leave it
  13. Your far far more dedicated than I am - I used to be but not no more once I get home from work on a Wednesday I’ve got so I can’t be bothered to go to speedway we’ve no time to eat before we leave and end up with a Buster Burger so a relaxing evening at home eating a proper meal has become much more appealing.
  14. Probably not but on a Saturday night under lights at end of September- this meeting has so much history and deserves more respect from riders and promotions .
  15. Totally meaningless meeting now needs to be run end of the season on a Saturday night
  16. You got 0% chance of going back to Saturday nights - stock cars are top priority on weekends . Minimal outlay maximum returns .
  17. I disagree with most of it but what’s the point really can’t be arsed I’ve more important things in my life than argue with the likes of you .
  18. The problem some speedway fans have over the years they’ve had the wool pulled over there eyes so often by so called top riders - when some fans here a reason like Lamberts they think the worst - definitely in life anything can and does happen but we get so used to these reasons or excuses as we’ve heard them all before so many times over the years . That’s all I’m saying
  19. Well- Webb was right on both counts Lambert is our top rider and with him in the team we would have won so he was right on both counts agreed we are very much still in the tie but that isn’t the point that was made . As for moans are we not all entitled to an opinion? don’t agree it’s negative bile as you put it it’s an opinion that’s put across that you don’t agree with perhaps .Not all speedway fans are happy clappers they see things in the real world and how this sport has gone down hill you call it negative it s an opinion that a long standing supporter of the club holds .
  20. It is great kids are free at Lynn but there is a massive difference from a Wednesday night to a Sunday - I realise speedway can’t let everyone in for a £1 but Notts will fill Trent Bridge on that Sunday mainly with families there is loads going on that day besides the cricket think they have more long term vision than speedway it’s all about getting the next generation hooked - of course it’s a totally different sport more cash rich than speedway but we are competing with the likes of cricket football and every other sport for fans customer cash .
  21. And so far I have - I must be the only one that wants to attract the next generation of fans because without our them there will be no speedway. I’d be bending over backwards to attract families but I must have it wrong . As some will no I’m a big cricket fan Notts have a family day on the next Bank Holiday weekend on the Sunday £1 admission for everyone- granted not everyone cup of tea but what a great idea the ground will be full and hopefully the kids will want to get mum and dad to bring them again - that’s a forward thinking sport trying to secure the next generation of fans .
  22. Absolutely spot on - thing also to remember in the days you talk of we raced Saturday nights so the urgency to basically get on with the meeting wasn’t so important as it is now on a Wednesday- I’ve no doubt when I first started going to Kings Lynn as an 11 year old boy had we raced Wednesday as we do now my mum and dad would have never took me to Kings Lynn as they would have said you’ve school the next day - to me that’s why a 7-30 start and I mean first race 7-30 would help to attract more families and without those kids we won’t have a future fan base - I don’t get why the promotion is so blind to see that .
  23. If it was a 3pm start would have made the journey for this one being a Bank Holiday missed opertunity I feel to get a bumper crowd.
