One things for certain speedway clubs are living beyond there means either cut costs or increase income that simple -the total failure of promotion to promote the sport and riders wanting cash that frankly isn’t there is a lot of the problem - until this is sorted the sport will continue to die
-
Also it has a knock on effect to a visiting team if visiting riders are unavailable on a Saturday.

It is a watered down product with out doubt but we are fast approaching the realms of watered down one big league one option or we carry on as we are and many tracks will go out of business so the choice is watered down to one big league with hopefully all clubs surviving or we carry on and see many closures ? I’d like to think it would be two steps back 5 steps forward over the next few years speedway in the UK is living beyond its means and it’s time to realise this before it’s too late

I can see the Premiership is on the vrege of collapse- if BT stick with the minimum 8 team league and Rye do pull the plug will BT pull out of the TV deal -then what will happen to the league.

So what would you sooner have a semi pro league or no league? because that’s the way things are heading -

Use whatever standard of riders that’s needed to fill the teams - 5 man teams maybe the only way to go in season one who knows - one thing for certain things can’t carry on as they are much longer - if Rye was to fold will BT pull out of the deal the whole league could be on the verge of collapse as we speak. -

One big league no clashes then with other domestic leagues - In Rye House case we went last season when Kings Lynn was there on Easter Saturday and I’d not seen a crowd like that at Rye for many years - surely Saturday night speedway has to return to Rye or there will be no speedway there - it’s the same at some other clubs a move to weekend speedway or what ever night is best suited to each club - but definitely like to see speedway run more at weekends as they do in Poland - one big league using only riders that put our league first no exceptions -

Time for speedway in this country to rebuild- let’s get back to weekend fixtures home meetings every other week in one big league- if riders can’t commit to every fixture there team races in don’t sign the rider - only riders 100% committed to British speedway should be used not the will ride in Uk if there is nothing else better elsewhere attitude- and reduce admission to £15 . -
There could be something in what you are saying - one thing for certain the club has lost its way were treating the clubs fans are concerned if that’s the reason I’m not so sure .
-
In our particular case it’s because Sunday at 5pm is far better than Wednesday at 8ish .

Too right - it’s not all doom and gloom don’t forget there are around 1000 that’s a guess that quite happily go to watch the Stars each meeting - and as others have said there is a good vibe around the club this season- in my case i perhaps except far too much from a speedway meeting.
-
Best bit is of course they knew there would be meetings the Danes would miss through Danish League and in Palm Tofts case Championship meetings as well but they still went and signed him after Rose quit - I personally wouldn’t have touched him nothing against Palm Toft but he just made the whole thing worse he’s just going to miss too many meetings- for me one meeting missed is too many unless injured . We need our own 1-7 each meeting .

I’ve walked away basically it’s the only real way to get speedway not just Kings Lynn speedway to take notice my cash stays firmly in my pocket and it will till things change or attitudes change - social media if you raise a question that is anything other than towing the clubs line you are blocked straight away - I really do think I’m KL case it’s Busters way only so to get a group of fans to meet the promotion I think is more or less a waste of time - great idea but I doubt much would come out of it . I’m coming up to a full calendar year since I last attended a meeting at Kings Lynn and I’m far from alone on that one I can name several long term fans that have walked away over the last 18 months .

If I attend meetings or not what has that got to do with anything? As it happens I’ve not been to Lynn since July 1 st 2017 but I fail to see why that stops me having an opinion or interest in the club I’ve supported since I was very young . All id have thought we’d all want to see is our own 1-7 in every meeting baring injuries of course this doesn’t seem to happen that often for various reasons which is a shame . The fixed race night thing has been a farce to be fair great idea but should have been Monday/ Thursday rather than Monday /Wednesday who’s fault that is I’m not sure but the point I’m making signing Palm Toft after the season was under way was madness when we knew he had Danish League and also Pboro clashes who get priority as is the case tonight- I’ve nothing against Palm Toft in any way shape or form he’s done well , but he’s not much good to us if he’s missing meetings . I’m sure all we want is our 1-7 each meeting not 5 of our own and two guests - injuries can’t be helped but more thought should have gone into clashes with other leagues . -

Well the one thing I don’t get Lewis Rose quit a few weeks into the season and what do we do considering the on going problems with using Danish rider and racing on Wednesday night the same night as the Danish what do we do ?. - we sign Palm Toft not only do Denmark have priority but also Pboro you honestly couldn’t make it up - whoever made the decision to sign Palm Toft should be shown the exit door - I agree he’s done well for the club but he isn’t much use when he’s racing elsewhere. -
Kings Lynn vs Rye House June 18th
Haza replied to Star Lady's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I’d guess the main criteria was he’s cheap and just maybe he will be half decent rider given the chance and was worth a punt . Must admit I’d never heard of him prior him signing for KL . -

I guess running against England in the World Cup won’t help attendance that’s for sure -running on a Monday won’t either probably the worst night of the week to run speedway being bottom of the league won’t help either. Sadly speedway never learns and at Kings Lynn we definitely don’t on a different note I see Somerset have dropped Charles Wright - could the Stars fit him in in Andersen place maybe ? not sure on averages -

7 points off a play off place with 2 meetings in hand - long way to go yet but not in a good position that’s for sure . The reception Poole put on for Lambert seems to me he will be on his way to Dorset come 2019 . -

Well at least the cricket club is trying to attract fans - speedway is doing bugger all - won’t be long before OAPs will be the most expensive admission price .
