  1. Sadly those great days seem to be gone for every had it not been for Covid I’m sure Kings Lynn would ran stock cars Good Friday instead of the inconvenience of speedway
  2. Definitely not subscribing - too expensive and not committed to showing live speedway over other sports they’d rather show friendly pre season live football as they have in the past - which then mean I watch on line so might as well watch every meeting on line .
  3. Yes Very true and a valid point . Guess I’d hoped after a year of practically no speedway in the UK we’d have the great British speedway re set button pressed and get a bit more credibility back in the sport .
  4. Personally I’d sooner have the cautious approach that we taking rather than open everything up and go back to square one again and another lockdown just my view . Yes the sport needs to get out on track and fans in stadiums 100% but I’d thought as a sport we’d need to try and retain a little bit of credibility and Richard Knight working for two rival clubs in the same role doesn’t sit well with me as someone else said conflict of interest. But as you say riders on track fans in stadiums is main thing - hopefully other things can be ironed out before March 2022 .
  5. Try explaining that to a none speedway fan is like having a commercial manager working for Utd and City in Manchester. Only in speedway this could happen -one other question has Robin Brundle left the club or has that been quietly brushed under the carpet ? Who’d forget the war cry chant he bought to the club ha ha
  6. I basically said the same on the club’s Facebook page guess what ? They deleted my post . Says it all to me
  7. Always has been low on the pecking order and that’s why I’d never subscribe to them got caught once with them but never again - the reason I won’t subscribe to them is they will even show pre season friendly football ahead of live speedway . Will watch on the internet instead
  8. Had to smile about the press release- champagne corks will be popping on news of Riss return - was just saying to the other half get that champagne out I just fancy a glass for breakfast as you do - who writes these press releases? Am surprised they didn’t get the old favourite quote in about making an emotional return to the club though :)))
  9. I’m not sure on that one if that’s the case it isn’t such a problem- though as I said Lawson is here in the Uk
  10. The only stumbling block I can see is international travel from the UK is banned at the moment and with the virus on the rise again in Europe that’s Is looking as if that could stay in place longer . Things of course could change . Lawson is the obvious choice and he will be available each meeting as Riss could have major travel problems and not be available each meeting and in all honesty I’d thought a Brit should be employed first .
  11. Yes I agree but he owns the stadium at KL at Pboro he owns the licence nothing more which is worthless if you can’t do a deal with the Showground owners - so obviously KL is his priority.
  12. Nichols signed for Pboro - unless there is a surprise rabbit out of the hat Richard Lawson seems favourite . From what I’ve seen often doesn’t do well at Kings Lynn but could do a ok job on away tracks . Guess it is what it is main thing is getting back on track .
  13. If we used proper speedway shale instead of soil/ clay I’m sure he’d have been fine - KL was always to grippy for Nick .
  14. Edward Kennet or Josh Autey as other possibles ?
  15. Definitely soil is cheaper than red shale but why say it’s unavailable if that is clearly wrong - sadly it’s Busters way or the highway as many have seen over the years so unless Buster has the will to change from soil to red shale the change won’t happen- and sadly I feel the will isn’t there .
  16. Definitely a top 6 finish is on the cards and with a bit of luck who knows. Main priority has to be riders on bikes and fans in stadiums and build towards March 2022
  17. Forgot Simon Lambert another name on the possible list and an asset so no lone fee so probably favourite for the last team place
  18. So how last rider is Richard Lawson Edward Kennett Josh Autey ? Don’t think any of them have Premier League team or is there a rabbit going to be pulled out of a hat with an unexpected signing .
  19. Oh absolutely Stock Cars is we’re the money is made can’t argue with that it make good business sense anyone would do that . Stock cars minimum our lay maximum income or speedway maximum out lay minimum income and a load of hassle to go with it .
  20. That is 100% spot on the last few times I attended I walk to my car and thought why did I bother coming . The thing is Kings Lynn is a stock car track now that just so happens to hold a few speedway meetings the track is prepared for the cars like it or not that’s were we are at .
  21. Still maintain the most important thing for 2021 is getting back on track and fans in stadiums- team strength are important and ending the season with the wooden spoon isn’t obviously were any club wants to be but build towards March 2022 i say and start promoting the sport as well because after 20 months of no speedway some fans may have realised they haven’t missed speedway so don’t presume all fans will return.
  22. I no it’s still early in the day but the interest to KL news/ signings on social media is really worrying - there be so many comments a few seasons ago on any news coming from the club but now - maybe blocking fans wasn’t such a clever idea after all
  23. So Jorgensen signs when I saw the headline thought it was John (((:
  24. Do you no what I typed out a long reply to your post but I deleted it all - what’s the point ? Nothing will change under the current regime . Like him or not the man the club misses the most is Jonathon Chapman .
  25. Lawson is dreadful at KL from what I remember might be a asset on away tracks
