  1. Well let’s hope he is there for Monday I really do and it would be handy if the club could clear this doubt up straight away on social media .
  2. If Riss isn’t going to be there Monday I’ve read again and it could be taken either way - I’d definitely have signed Lawson yes lowering standards but nothing puts fans of more than riders being unavailable riders . A full 1-7 is what fans want to see
  3. Can’t disagree with that if only other tracks was as good .
  4. Any new fans ? I think over the years it’s been obvious 0% effort been made to attract new fans and 0% effort to listen to and keep existing fans happy . You only have to look at the age group of speedway fans to see new fans isn’t happening . So a marketing campaign very unlikely to happen but I agree that definitely it should happen. As for value for money and dropping quality standards year on year my take on admission prices £15 would be fair . To keep lowering standards and keep putting prices up that can’t be right .
  5. That ended years ago - even from when KL went up into the EL as it was 10 years ago the standard downwards has been unbelievable
  6. On the Ipswich website there adult admission is £19 available on line from the 12th May and they urge fans to buy online as capacity restrictions apply at 2000 but turnstiles will be open on the day of the meeting
  7. Sadly Premier Sports use speedway as a schedule filler nothing more even live friendly tiddlywinks would get priority over Polish speedway . Watch on line and save not only money but also the frustration of Premier Sports . I’ve been. Caught in the past but never again
  8. Financial suicide if it is £20 absolute madness- we shall have to see when it’s officially announced . But to expect fans to pay more for a much weaker product doesn’t make much sense to me.
  9. Wonder if the booking fee (presumably there will be one ) will be per booking as your hopefully booking as a group or per ticket ? And guessing no more than 6 in the group ? Rule of 6 ?
  10. Think we all no stock cars are no1 priority at KL and to be honest who can blame him - minimal expense maximum income where as Speedway maximum expense minimal income - and take in the extra worked of putting the safety barrier and wooden boards up and taking them down - it’s Stocks all the way sadly
  11. Absolute madness if any price increase with a much weaker product yet again - if any thing a decrease would do more to attract fans
  12. Who can say at this point if I will buy one or not and no one else can either we have no details of tickets buying on the gate or on line and the most importantly we can’t be 100% sure the start date won’t be pushed back - it’s wait and see at the moment . Leicester press release- all tickets to be bought on line unless season ticket holder up to mid day of the meeting.
  13. My guess that will be least of the problems - I can see problems at the main entrance into stadium with those who have tickets those that don’t (unless all ticket ) the 2 metre rule causing long delay getting into stadium also when in stadium keeping people moving away from the entrance- programmes could be another problem causing a delays - unless it’s a print at home program that might be an option or get your program on entrance through the main gate - food out let’s toilets souvenirs shop all potential problems- fans wanting to chat with fans they’ve not seen since September 2019 - it’s not going to be easy - then heat 15 the rush to the car park . there is much to consider for each club and the co- operation of the public . The easiest option is wait till June 21st before starting the season when more restrictions should be lifted .
  14. Possible way around this mix and match if a 1000 tickets are sold on line the club then no they can sell a 1000 on the night bearing in mind social distancing though this could be a problem around the box office and main entrance- could they open an entrance on the back straight for ticket holders ? Sadly I think attending any event is going to be very very different from what we are used to in the past .
  15. And how do you no what numbers could turn up then without advanced ticket sales ? And if a big crowd was to turn up on the 17th who’s got the job of turning fans away when capacity is reached ? Stock cars fans last year was having to buy tickets in advance so really can’t see the problem.
  16. Had an email this morning from Notts cricket club as they put it they are OPTIMISTIC ( there words not mine ) of fans returning for a county championship game on May 20th - rules are allocated seating within families or support bubbles - social distancing throughout-no cash sales for food and drink -restrictions on numbers in toilets - - even though I’m a member I have to get a ticket if I want to attend free of charge as I’m a member if I’m unable to attend I have to let the club no so I think speedway will definitely be all ticket -It also seems things will be confirmed on the 10th May if all the above will happen with fans so I guess speedway clubs will no more on the 10thMay as well
  17. With or without fans ? If it’s with fans will have to be all advance tickets or they won’t no how many will turn up as there will under current guidelines be restrictions on numbers allowed in .
  18. The series has been scrapped but yea why not a one off the night of the Cardiff Gp should have been run .
  19. Off the top of my head I’d say not happened anywhere in sport - but then neither has Covid and a year with practical no racing or other sport with fans in stadiums and not many other sport’s lower there standards either .
  20. That’s anther angle to it as well - what is the stadium’s capacity? KL Pboro and Ipswich might be ok as fan can spread out but Wolverhampton for instance only use the home straight Sheffield doesn’t use the back straight . England play New Zealand in a cricket test series Edgebaston is one of the venues they are talking 25% attendees the match is a sell out ticket holder going into a ballot they talking a food and drinks app with food brought to your seat , theses games are in June - not May 17 I’m not suggesting that will happen at speedway but it not going to be speedway meetings as we no it that’s for sure . Then is it viable to run that’s the leading question?
  21. Financial suicide if the admission prices do go up from 2019 rates if anything with a much lower standard of teams strength they should go down if anything - but in 50 years of following the sport I can’t recall that ever happening .
  22. Definitely in a much better place 100% better than on the edge of a clifftop that’s were we are now .
  23. Have to say I consider my self lucky though I didn’t realise it at the time to have been able to do 3 meetings in a day I’d regularly do 3 in a weekend Friday Pboro Saturday Lynn Sunday Boston or Mildenhall that was more or less every weekend - imagine the cost now admission and fuel and food ? .They was happy days never to return I fear .
  24. I’ve done Kings Lynn v Ipswich at 11am then down to Ipswich for the return meeting v Kings Lynn in the afternoon often used to start late to get the crowd in I seem to remember them dash back to Peterborough in the evening 3 in a day
