  1. The time he’s been away from the sport for one missing last night at Ipswich and apparently Monday at Peterborough through what ever reason . Proctor far from perfect as seems the other suspect but reliable and he’s not been away from the sport and has confidence boosting championship meetings as well . Either could get the chop - not too sure where a 7 pointer (apparently can be fitted in ) is coming from
  2. I’m not so sure Bridger looks more at threat .
  3. Brilliant away win well done the Stars
  4. It really is amazing how many meetings this R/R fellow gets he’s going make more appearances than any other rider
  5. Spot on - in football he / she would be sacked . I tend to agree with Bagpuss the whole club has gone stale from top to bottom- it needs a Jonathan Chapman type person to get some enthusiasm going at the club again someone with some personality about them .If there is speedway at KL in 2022 maybe it should be with a fresh promotion in charge -In some ways in Richard Lawson at least it’s a new face .
  6. I thought similar I’d have thought it’s another saving on wages with Cook going and Lawson coming in yet any reduction on admission? your dead right about mid table championship team . Less than 2 weeks into the new season which could have offered so much with a big relaunch instead offered a 6 team league rising star position and championship riders in the 1-6 in just 2 weeks we get this . Crazy
  7. Well I’m not surprised it’s Lawson at least he going to be there each meeting R/R is no good in a weak side like the Stars -
  8. I agree they are not number 1 s but least the number 1 won’t be R/R when other riders are unavailable
  9. I’d have thought the replacement would be UK based at least or problems will occur with travel and riding elsewhere so missing meetings - Lawson Kennet and Autey seems the most sensible options to me go down any other route and whoever they get will miss meetings in my opinion.
  10. For me the highlight of the Cardiff Gp weekend was Friday evening at Somerset and the Pairs the racing was far better than anything we ever saw in Cardiff the following evening. Such a shame sad day for British speedway .
  11. Going by this thread seems little interest in this meeting .
  12. In my opinion total waste of money far better to stream .
  13. Not sure what’s that’s got to do with anyone to be honest .
  14. Sadly once the stock car catch fence went up there be came a bigger barrier between riders and fans watching through a bird cage ruined it for many at Kings Lynn and the kids that used to get a high 5 s after each successful race from the riders that all stopped - I no stock cars pay the bills at Kings Lynn but for many speedway fans it’s ruined the spectacle the catch fence the clay/soil based track rather than red shale that produced racing passing rather than gate and go - yes the stadium looks better but at what cost ?
  15. What was embarrassing was that war cry that was it Robin Brundle came up with now that was embarrassing- think his name was Robin Brundle now whatever happened to him ? Carpet lifted swept under it never to be heard of again, or am I wrong or does he still have a role at the club ?
  16. In all honesty after a 20 month break there shouldn’t be anyone missing from either side if certain riders are missing maybe Lawson would have been a more reliable signing after all .
  17. I think the fans interest on all things KL speedway on social media has definitely fallen to what it was 2 to 3/years ago on both Twitter and Facebook- re tweets likes and sharing posts have all fallen I think and so has comments to posts - a lot of the usual suspects don’t comment now . it certainly should be a concern to the club .
  18. A showery day forecast at the moment nothing major though and showers should die out by start time - Though speedway being speedway who knows I’ve seen meetings called off for less in the past .
  19. There will come a point when the sport can’t downgrade any further and it’s not too far away whilst this season the priority has to be getting the sport with riders on tracks fans into stadiums the standard has gone down again as it has for years , money has definitely been saved with not having to pay Lambert and replace him with Bridger so I can see no justification for a £20 adult admission charge .
  20. Personally I think it’s a £15 sport considering the downgrading that’s gone on over the previous seasons and a 6 team league this season but that’s just my views
  21. Some people moan at me for being negative on here but sadly what’s happened today with tickets sales and total lack of professionalism from the club sums up British speedway in a nutshell. Fans taken for granted yet again .
  22. The article can be read both ways I’m not sure after reading it 3 times - a quick press release from the club would clear any possible misunderstanding up . After all if fans think we are missing a rider it will put people off attending.
