  1. Whatever happened to him? Other that that abysmal cringe worthy war cry and the flying lap thing that lasted about two meetings can’t think of anything else he bought to the club .
  2. Getting families with young children interested is the key to the future .
  3. Social media bubble seems to have burst there was a time P and P would have seen loads attend and photos and comments uploaded to social media - it could be because the age of speedway fans now don’t do social media .
  4. I’d have thought he’d still rode in this as first meeting it’s a opportunity missed to blow away the winter cobwebs and have a competitive practice session- get what your saying though
  5. They are trying to an interesting spin on a none story - a Tweet like that is really desperation to try keep speedway in peoples minds .
  6. Exactly- the only time it may affect attendances I think if the weather was iffy - fans might stay at home then .
  7. We paid for the Glasgow v Poole 1st leg of the play off final think I paid £11-95 it was well worth the money - we live near Kings Lynn we was never going to attend this meeting but through streaming the Glasgow promotion gained £11-95 from us that has to be a positive and raise more income - now if I lived in Glasgow and normally attended there meetings the promotion lost money on me watching the stream but I’d have thought swings and roundabouts it work out in the home promotion favour over all .
  8. That is a very valid point - it’s a headline grabber saying he’s spoken to 200 riders nothing more is my guess . Half the alleged riders would be way over our budget the next lot wouldn’t be interested in racing over here for various reasons that leaves about 25 who want to race in the Uk but 15 of them laughed at the rate of pay so that’s were we arrive at the team 1 want to race in the UK and 2 accept the rate of pay on offer . I will say this though sooner stick within the clubs budget and finish 6 th in the table than spend a fortune the club can’t afford win the league and close at the end of the season . .
  9. Looks on paper better than last season if this does turn out to be the team but with the league being slightly stronger is the that side any better than last seasons ? If Kildeman ups his average he useful signing - Ritchie Worrall probably had his best season ever when he was last in the team hopefully he can find that sort of form again - personally I’d not had Jorgensen back think he’s more than had his chance -but all in all it’s looks better than what we started with last season .
  10. Ritchie it is then - we shall see
  11. Yes I agree Alitt likes the jobs for the boys though Toft would be welcomed back - the Aussie connection is long gone sadly they all talk to each other only Aussie we’ve any hope of signing is Allit’s favourite Aussie Proctor .
  12. And if it’s all about season ticket sale and publicity nearer the new season start date there is then nothing to tell potential sponsors now when you’d think clubs will be chasing sponsors and the first thing I’d ask as a sponsor who your 1-7
  13. Why isn’t calling an Australian and Aussie racist? Why is that deemed ok yet calling a person from Pakistan the P word is racist try explaining that one to a young child ? And I agree with what you say why wait until now to say anything in the cricketers case on a different not Conservative mp who’s accused Boirs dad of slapping her backside in 2003 why wait till now to say something? I’m not condoning any racist or sexual abuse in the slightest but why wait to speak out .
  14. If that was to happen Allit might as well go with him .
  15. From when Kenneth was last at the club the league is much much weaker he should if signed do a great job I’d have thought but something rarely happens I agree ( I’m shocked ) I’d not want to see him back in the KL team .
  16. If the 2022 side isn’t able the challenge for the play offs in the PL - Lynn might as well drop into the Championship - little point in going through the motions in a 6 team league a competitive side in the Championship would make far more sense and more meetings .And if one more team drops out of the PL least it put that league out of its misery. And can then have one big league - if there is enough riders to go round .
  17. That argument is all well and good - some criticism aimed at me from certain people because I don’t attend on a regular basis . But you wouldn’t go in a restaurant and eat a meal every week if the meal wasnt hot or cooked properly- and someone on the next table shouts use it or lose the restaurant- so why would I attend each meeting if I’m not happy with what’s on show ? The bit British speedway fails to sort out is why people don’t attend each meeting or have stopped going altogether the powers at be seem uninterested on that group of people they should be asking why they’ve stopped going and try to change things .
  18. That’s very true - the original point I was making live streaming meetings could be a great way of earning clubs extra income . As I say £11.95 is better than £0 - speedway definitely needs to think of new ways to earn income it could stop fans attending meetings especially if the weather was iffy I guess . New ideas is what’s needed rather than tired and failing system .
  19. Sounds ideal to me - thinking outside the box is definitely what’s needed - but it’s British speedway so definitely won’t happen.
  20. Maybe charge a £1 more if you live within a certain radius? yes food outlets is another thing to consider obviously- but £11.95 is better than nothing - it’s definitely something that all clubs should consider- it’s the first time I’ve ever paid for a stream I didn’t no Edinburgh streamed meetings as well .
  21. I watched the play final last night Glasgow v Poole via the Glasgow stream it cost £11.95 to view enjoyable meeting it was the first time I’d used the service while watching it I thought it is a great way to generate more income for clubs of that £11.95 couldn’t say how much is profit but all I do no without the stream Glasgow speedway would have got £0 from me last night - so why doesn’t more clubs stream meetings for a fee ? Seems to me £11.95 is better than nothing and with an ageing fan base watching from home could be a good alternative to generate income . Well done Glasgow speedway for a great service .
