I agree about BV getting the 4 points to a degree -but season ticket holders would lose out (if there is any ? ) and the riders losing a pay day in some ways it’s punishing those not responsible it needs to be targeted more and the owner of the club . Seems to me the reasons for call of was Jorgensen injured Eurosport camera was due to be there that = very poor crowd and lastly and the reason used poor weather forecast were no rain fell on kings Lynn - some action should be taken but should be aimed at those who called it off
-
In some sports the visitors would be awarded all league points or complete the meeting behind closed doors which would be financial suicide for speedway - maybe it should be down to the match referee to make the decision if it’s off - all in all it makes speedway look very unprofessional but then so did the British Final better to call it off than a farce like that was on live tv .
-
Absolutely spot on - Jonathon wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea but he knew how to promote yes his themed meetings might have been tacky but it got families in to the stadium and importantly children- I seem to remember he had an advertisement banner / poster of a trailer or truck he used to tow around Hunstanton and around KL and the coast road at this time of the year - bet there is holidaying families in Hunstanton now doesn’t even no about speedway at kings Lynn .
-
Genuine reason isn’t the weather why it’s off think that’s plain to see things is it’s not the first time it’s happened we’ve had faulty floodlight - burst water pipes and other occasions the weather forecast been iffy - if the weather was going to be bad (and who knows it might still be bad ) I applaud calling off early it does speedway no favours to have what happened at the British final for instance. But as I say come start time it just might be a great decision calling it off
-
Who knows it might well rain later but 30mins drive from track it’s sunny and warm summer’s afternoon- you say we all have to race in front of the cameras I bet ya Lynn won’t at home this season - I agree a joke call off but from a business point of view it’s the right call for Lynn promotion- maybe points should be awarded when this happens to visitors?
-
The danger is if there is two gps the crowd will be split yes some would go to both if there was two - Belle Vue and Odsal maybe instead of Cardiff ? Costs would be less than Cardiff though track covers would be a good idea for Belle Vue and Bradford

If there was true rivalry which there used to be most people definitely would have an issue with it the rivalry all but gone now which is sad that’s partly to do with same people running both clubs nothing better to gets bums on seats with rival promotions falling out and riders as well but that’s all gone - doesn’t sit well with me Lynn was bottom of the league and Allit celebrated a Panthers title win in his Panthers gear . He might be entitled but do your celebrations behind the cameras .
-
Both clubs would benefit I feel if they was owned by different people that said if Buster hadn’t have acquired Pboro would it still be running? But different owners in the ideal world would be the way to go - even the rivalry between clubs seems lacking now days sadly .
-
What hurt as well was Allit celebrating the Panthers title win - Im sympathetic to the Panthers loyal fans on how the promotion keeps fans in the dark as to what’s going on has in the past been similar at KL - and I guess Buster has more loyalty to KL he owns the stadium (no rent ) food outlets takes money from that and then there is money spinning stock cars - were as pboro rent to pay on track no money from the food outlets no stock cars - not difficult really - but KL 0 titles top league - Pboro 1 title under his ownership . My guess at Pboro it’s about getting to the end of the season and see what happens over the winter -

Kings Lynn vs Ipswich August 4th
Haza replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So the club replaces a rider who couldn’t commit to a full British season Iversen with another rider who couldn’t commit to a full British Season Klindt And then we replace a British rider who HAD committed to a full British Season Kerr with yet another who can’t do a full British season Jacobsen - That just about sums British speedway up putting a Brit out of a job who put the UK first with rider that I just become available as his club is out of play offs and wants to top his bank balance up . -

Why hold the British Final so close to the Cardiff GP if it been held say first Monday in July and it was a wet night plenty of time to re schedule it before Cardiff - piss up in brewery springs to mind - a total embarrassment on live tv and I feel for the fans in the stadium paying £20-£25 - do they get a refund ? -
Totally agree Dale should be neutral- I won’t forget him celebrating live on tv with the Pboro team when they won the play off final - Pboro along with Ipswich are our main rivals. He should be neutral I agree 100% rather than do what he did in the play off final .

League Cup Final Sheffield v Kings Lynn
Haza replied to RS50's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I guess in those days we was more flexible on race nights (though Ipswich was mainly Thursday) at KL they was Saturdays and could throw in some Sunday afternoons as well - but now with basically the same rider riding in both leagues fixtures less flexible I guess that said there is weeks with no racing - you’d have thought fitting 20 fixtures in between March and October would be so simple but this is British speedway we are talking about . -
League Cup Final Sheffield v Kings Lynn

I’d even forgotten who was in the final it seems that long ago -
I thought the same at the time watching on tv he demolished the tapes not just broke them - think he thought well if I’m out you ain’t winning this meeting and keeping your season alive- have to say purely on performance Kerr has to be the one to go seems really out of touch that said 2023 id have thought neither Kerr or Jorgensen will be at the club - these changes are good if thinking towards next season but the play offs are out of the question this season surely?
