  1. Think we all no Lewis Kerr is going to score big
  2. What was ridiculous was why run it so close to Cardiff GP ? If it had been run early July and weather was bad plenty of time to restage it before Cardiff
  3. Think most agree changes are needed to how the sport is run - a PL with only 6 teams in it with top 4 known in July more or less means many league meetings are meaningless - £20 for what’s on offer is to expensive drop it to £15 I think more people would attend meetings. And more thought needs to be given to fans not take them for granted - the word promotors should be dropped to club owners as other than Glasgow none of them promotions promote the sport . Speedway in its present form is terminal with cost of living crisis getting worse next season will be even harder for clubs . Change needs to happen and fast .
  4. Could be the only way in making Kings Lynn have Eurosport cameras at a meeting this season .
  5. And only one of the 3 can be bothered to race in the National championship meeting.
  6. Last night was a prime example why fans don’t go anymore £20 for 10 heats - and there is other reasons British final farce Cardiff Gp track which should be a great advert for speedway - 6 team Premier league - guest riders being used what seems in every meeting wasn’t it Birmingham a few weeks ago had just one of there own riders - then on top of that cost of living crisis which is rammed down our throats by main stream media then you wonder why fans have stopped going ? What is surprising how many still go
  7. Lawson Pickering and Klindt are all here to earn money if Buster said I will pay you your match average points money not ride I think they’d taken him up on it but can’t see Buster doing that - not sure what the answer is though the sport can’t be taken seriously while guest manipulate the league table..
  8. Joking aside £20 for 10 heats doesn’t = value for money - really am finding it difficult to see how the sport can survive in the UK sadly
  9. And is Eurosport cameras there that’s more crucial if it’s on or off than the weather forecast
  10. Very true - meeting now under way hopefully everyone stays safe if track is dodgy and it’s a good meeting for everyone.
  11. The bit that baffles me is the same promotion calls Kings Lynn v Belle Sunday afternoon with a Monday evening start time with no rain falling on race day in KL the club owner owns the stadium no rent owed fast forward to Thursday the same promotion doesn’t call the meeting off but heavy rain throughout the day rent needs to be paid and other expenses- why was Mondays called off well in advance but not tonight’s ?
  12. Total dead rubber of a meeting at this stage of the season if not challenging for a play off place meetings are point less .Other than not ending up bottom of course - sadly it looks like the only winner could be the rain after weeks of dry weather .
  13. I agree Tv coverage of league meetings more or less a waste of time if there is no payment to of set the loss in crowd numbers as you say what is the point ? streaming is the way forward as the Championship have done this season and with only six clubs maybe every meeting could be streamed with fans buying a season ticket from there own club for the service ..
  14. I agree about BV getting the 4 points to a degree -but season ticket holders would lose out (if there is any ? ) and the riders losing a pay day in some ways it’s punishing those not responsible it needs to be targeted more and the owner of the club . Seems to me the reasons for call of was Jorgensen injured Eurosport camera was due to be there that = very poor crowd and lastly and the reason used poor weather forecast were no rain fell on kings Lynn - some action should be taken but should be aimed at those who called it off
  15. Totally agree - there is 0% effort put in promoting any meeting at Lynn or meetings up and down the county cone to that by other clubs with the exception of Glasgow- they are not promotors they club owners - none of them actually promote the sport
  16. In some sports the visitors would be awarded all league points or complete the meeting behind closed doors which would be financial suicide for speedway - maybe it should be down to the match referee to make the decision if it’s off - all in all it makes speedway look very unprofessional but then so did the British Final better to call it off than a farce like that was on live tv .
  17. Think it’s obvious then 50% chance of showers -Live on Eurosport = poor crowd or very poor crowd- so call it off protect the clubs finances run without tv and get a bigger crowd we all no that’s what it’s all about .
  18. Dodgy forecast and Iive on Eurosport calling off a no brainer - but if Lynn don’t stage a tv meeting this season and take hit on gate receipts they definitely shouldn’t get a full cut of the tv money if there is any payment that is .
  19. Dry here now - the rain so far would have improved the track definitely.
  20. Raining steadily in south Lincs now - like I said this call off might have been a master stroke
  21. Absolutely spot on - Jonathon wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea but he knew how to promote yes his themed meetings might have been tacky but it got families in to the stadium and importantly children- I seem to remember he had an advertisement banner / poster of a trailer or truck he used to tow around Hunstanton and around KL and the coast road at this time of the year - bet there is holidaying families in Hunstanton now doesn’t even no about speedway at kings Lynn .
  22. Genuine reason isn’t the weather why it’s off think that’s plain to see things is it’s not the first time it’s happened we’ve had faulty floodlight - burst water pipes and other occasions the weather forecast been iffy - if the weather was going to be bad (and who knows it might still be bad ) I applaud calling off early it does speedway no favours to have what happened at the British final for instance. But as I say come start time it just might be a great decision calling it off
  23. Who knows it might well rain later but 30mins drive from track it’s sunny and warm summer’s afternoon- you say we all have to race in front of the cameras I bet ya Lynn won’t at home this season - I agree a joke call off but from a business point of view it’s the right call for Lynn promotion- maybe points should be awarded when this happens to visitors?
  24. At least someone sees the real reason as to why it’s been called off - can’t fault the club either financially it’s a no brainer .
