  1. That crossed my mind as well and didn’t similar happen with Vaculvik at Leicester a few season ago crashed in his first race and was never seen again - time will tell I guess .
  2. My guess Putin following the meeting on Speedway updates to see how his buddy Emil is doing lol
  3. Whoever the out and out number one is they need to be able to put in a full season in the UK not cut and run once Polish league and the GPs start
  4. Can say the same about Iversen being injury prone
  5. My opinion probably less of a gamble Lindgren- with Nicki coming back from serious injuries just don’t no how he will perform- both past there best sadly- Lindgren slightly gets my vote
  6. 200 grand two years ago is a fantasy figure even then - but now with the uncertainty surrounding the long term future even 10 grand could be money down the drain.
  7. It be very interesting to no what Buster values Pboro speedway at - from what I can see it’s value is minimal at best - no certainty for 2024 that the Showground will be available no planning permission or funds for the alleged new track - at best 2024 the Showground is available second best Panthers run home meetings at KL - so the value is really bugger all
  8. All that with at best 2000 people coming through the turnstiles each meeting sadly all you say doesn’t add up to be financially viable- unless it’s a multi purpose stadium-stock cars / pop concerts/ football /rugby - with a clubhouse big enough for weddings and parties- can see that’s the only way it could be viable- just speedway it doesn’t add up
  9. Have to agree with all you say especially the last sentence- the value of Pboro Speedway isn’t worth a great deal - I’d say with an uncertain future over the showground and funding for a new stadium and getting planning permission Pboro Speedway isn’t worth a £1 .
  10. I bet they want the club to take the grandstand with them what with from memory an asbestos roof - the cost of dismantling and reassembling would be astronomical cheaper to scrap it an buy new - seats would be worth keeping though
  11. In my opinion he thinks he’s far better than he actually is - hopefully the talent he had will win through in the end
  12. If Buster remains owner / promoter of Panthers there is 0% chance of Chris Holder being in the side . I hope for Pboro and Lynn sake the link is broken and Panthers get a new owner both clubs will benefit from this and get back to true rivalry between the clubs .
  13. If Panthers going to be under the points limit with Andersen I think the club might as well roll the dice and take a gamble on a new young rider from Europe least it’s building a team with the future in mind - Hans sadly is a spent force a shadow of his former self .
  14. Absolutely agree - there doesn’t have to be a all out brawl to get a reaction from the crowd just banter rivalry as well between local clubs seems to have vanished- the rivalry between KL and Ipswich in the 70s and 80 s was second to none . Guess it’s a different world now were you have to be careful what you say and do not to upset a few people .
  15. I really don’t get why you’d say that ? like I said he is marmite but he’s box office entertainer he’d definitely increase crowds levels where ever he rides so why’d you’d not want him racing in the UK is a total mystery to me .
  16. Nicki Pedersen like him or not is possibly the last rider of a generation with a certain something that got a reaction from the fans he’s marmite definitely but he is box office
  17. Yea absolutely don’t we all BUT it’s entertainment/ sport or sport /entertainment industry either way going back to those days the crowds was massive compared to today promoters knew how to promote rather than take people for granted- American wrestling is contrived rubbish but they do wrestle in full stadiums. Not comparing speedway to wrestling but fans want some controversy even when Buster went into the refs box it got the crowd going .
  18. Or is he another Killdiman and never starts the season
  19. If the KK of old turns up this is a good team BUT time will tell
  20. So who the promoter is Buster still at the helm or is it just Brady and Allit ?
  21. He’s a has been sadly had his day - just being realistic- that said I’d love to be proved wrong hope I am if your talking about KK
  22. If he sees the season out before being replaced I will be amazed - that said I hope I’m wrong
  23. Only slightly better than when the club signed Lewis Bridger - Bridger came out of retirement to ride least KK is still actively riding but the centre grey or green will see more of him than the chequered flag I feel
  24. Wouldn’t hold ya breath on that one
  25. But as you say Alex knows what the fans want as he’s a fan himself
