Sad state of affairs i always enjoy visiting with the comets not because of the result naturally but to catch up with father havvy .Like most clubs attendances are dropping to a degree where promoters quite rightly will not continue to finance the sport out of their own pocket .Glasgow aside how many clubs are on a even footing financially ? I love the sport and have supported the comets through very lean times indeed partly because i wanted to go partly because i didnt want to lose the club .Unfortunately it was lost to the town and i for one didnt think it was coming back .Redcar has a purpose built track with no neighbour worries admittedly they might not be the strongest looking outfit but instead of walking away why not hang in there if it closes you may never get it back again .
Not a hope in hell of roynon riding for the comets again in the forseeable and Ostergaard likes his weekends to himself you maybe correct with the reserves but otherwise Im Out
Very very pleased with renes signing im sorry but Wells would add very little to the team in my opinion there will be better permutations of riders than one that includes him thats for sure
Have backup cover for the ambulance so fans are not standing around in the cold waiting for the second one to arrive .Limit amount of grading per meeting ,cheaper admission and a match race between the top rider from each team gaining points towards a end of season award .
Balls of steel BACHERS great value for money some of his passes riding the boards are worth the admission money alone fits in nicely to the COMETS 2013 plans
Excellent news on the tigers racing again next season hopefully its onwards and upwards for your club .I for one will miss our matches (COMETS) Unless we get some good news at this end .All the best for 2013 genuinely pleased for you .
Not many of you seem keen on using your own asset GARY IRVING a young lad who gives his all seems strange to me he doesnt enter calculations well worth his 4pt average imo
Will be plenty of clubs looking at this price cut on admission anything to get more punters through the gate and perhaps atmosphere would be generated .Good luck with this perhaps the comets owner/promoter maybe looking at such a venture .The sport in general is suffering in many ways if reduced admission is the answer i dont know but 1500 paying a tenner looks better in the ground than 1000 paying 15 quid
