Agree. I'm struggling enough to make the home meetings every week at the moment. -

An Ipswich rider. It's a shocking stat that no Witch has got a full 15 pointer since Hampel 4 years ago (is that accurate??). I'd hazard a guess that every other track in the league has had a rider go through the card at home. Take Workington as an example, Rusty Harrison can look a world beater there and get maximums, yet can look very very ordinary away from his home track. We've had good riders the last few years no question, and yet none can seem to get a full maximum at Foxhall for some reason. Even Doolan (who never got to grips with the track) picked up his form and hit a maximum pretty soon after he left. You'd have put your house on Barker changing that this year, but up until now that hasn't happened either. Strange. -

Agree! That's more like the Barker we thought we'd signed. Is it our track at Foxhall that is difficult to be dominant on? I know all tracks have a level of home track advantage, but some definitely have more than others. Hampel was the last rider I'm told to score a full 15 point max at Foxhall many moons ago. -
Barker, while being exciting, has been a disappointment this season points wise. He's been nigh on unbeatable in the PL the last couple of years and is miles off that this year. I think he went something like two and a half months unbeaten at Plymouth last year. Not looked even remotely capable of a maximum at Foxhall this season. He's having a poor year by his own very high standards.

Ipswich Vs Newcastle Thursday 6th June 7.30pm

If you're talking about Figures, then sorry Jules but Barker has been nothing but a disappointment. However, he's still the man I look forward to seeing at Foxhall every week. The lad is box office, a true racer who you can see winding on the throttle and giving 100% in each and every race. Nobody put more effort in last night than Barker and he was the most exciting rider on show. -

No problem, but this time to be fair to Aljack, Robbo IS getting a reputation for rollers despite claims to the contrary by Brough Diamond. He was doing it a couple of weeks ago on Sky in the PL and was at it again Monday. To do it not once or twice but three times on Monday was farcical. -

Terrific support if you're travelling down for this! I tip my hat to you. Anyone else making the trip? -

I agree I find it utterly bizarre that some are moaning that it's the same price as an Ipswich meeting! Why on earth shouldn't it be!? -

Is it the clubs who stage these meetings decision who to include or someone else? Very strange to not see Heeps in the Aussie line up and I agree, strange to see Tungate included when Poole have a fixture. Don't think they'll be best pleased. -

Very disappointed with Kennett. Superb win for Newcastle under strength too! Well done to them they look the team to beat for sure. -
I guess though that the hope is that by the time the kids get to the age of paying full price, they have gotten the speedway bug and fell in love with the sport like all of us on here. We definitely don't seem to offer value for money compared to other clubs. Why haven't we introduced family tickets? It's about time we did IMO. We need to at least try a few things to encourage more people in.

Crowds will always be lower in the PL than the EL that's the nature of the beast. Whether you would get enough extra supporters through the gate to offset the extra cost of running in the EL I don't know. When we came down we didn't have a team sponsor and money was obviously tight. That's not the case now at least where the sponsorship is concerned. If there wasn't so much uncertainty over the Sky deal I'm sure Louis would be looking to move back up but it must be a case of wait and see.
-
Really? Louis' response seems perfectly reasonable to me and pretty straight forward. Joe is 19 and a club asset. Perhaps Louis just felt that he wasn't quite ready THIS season, loaned him out for experience and keeping his options open for a future team place if he progresses? People loan out young assets all the time it's hardly new.

The same guy that passed him quite comfortably last night. I'm a fan of Rohan I think he's been a super signing in the main, but I was extremely disappointed with him last night. 7 points flattered him imo. Another good entertaining meetings though, the punters definitely getting value for money at the moment.
