  1. I agree with this, seem to have been going through the motions this season and it's been the quietest I can remember for years. I personally have badly missed the Lynn derby. Good Friday, Kings Lynn at Foxhall. Sounds good to me.
  2. Just looking at the greensheets from the 1st October, Cameron Heeps now has an average of 6.74, up from his starting average of 4.40. That's a stunning effort when you consider he went from reserve to the difficult number 2 position mid season, and has battled against a troublesome hand injury for what seems like most of the year, which will require surgery in the Winter. If he doesn't sweep the end of season awards in a few weeks I'll want a stewards inquiry!! also interesting average for Klindt, our guest on Thursday. When Chris Louis said at the end of last season that we would have a big hitting out and out number 1 for this season, Klindt was the favourite with most Ipswich fans on here with a few preferring him over Barker. Then he would have had a pretty hefty starting average, now he has an average of just 6.93. I know he's been inconsistent, and a pure gater rather than a racer, but on that average he'd certainly be in my PL team. He loves riding Foxhall and having the odd gater in your team is never a bad thing.
  3. Well they SHOULD have been money spinners and they normally are elsewhere. If the club can't attract a good crowd for a play off meetings that decide league champions, then maybe the passion for Speedway in Ipswich is at an all time low these days. Sad.
  4. Got to feel a little for Chris Louis too. These play off meetings were meant to be a bit of a money spinner for the club with bumper attendances. Now on Thursday against Edinburgh, it will be an Ipswich select side in a now meaningless meeting for the club with a damp weather forecast to boot! Could be a case of spot the supporter on Thursday which is a shame.
  5. All 3 heatleaders out with injury over two nights. That's speedway I guess. Best wishes to the injured trio. Well done to Newcastle on your cup win.
  6. Yes he should, and he does for Birmingham lately in a tougher league which shouldn't happen and is quite frustrating. I also think it's been clear this season that Foxhall isn't a favourite of Barker as he's generally failed to get to grips with it on a consistent basis. He's had his moments at Foxhall, but they've generally been against mediocre opposition.
  7. Yes I have to admit my patience with Risager has finally run out. He should be a decent rider at this level, but he continues to generally disappoint with a few good moments here and there. Well done to the Comets.
  8. Josh Bates guesting for Ellis on Thursday against Workington.
  9. I do agree with you, although I do hear the arguments regarding keeping the season alive for more clubs and the crowd pulling revenue of play off matches helping the clubs involved financially. Maybe a compromise of labelling the team that finishes top of the table, PL Champions, and then the top 6 qualifying teams competing for another trophy such as the PL cup/shield.
  10. Well done to Somerset. Top of the pile and just about right as they've been the best team this year so well done to them.
  11. Joe Jacobs now guests for Hawkins. Birks remains guest for Barker.
  12. A shame that just as Hawkins was finally producing a bit of form, he gets injured. Shouldn't matter too much Thursday with all due respect to Sheffield, but a big blow to lose him for Edinburgh on Friday.
  13. Reading the EADT it seems Louis wants a "permanent" guest, someone who could do most if not all the Witches remaining meetings to feel part of the team. He also says it's not ideal to have a guest from one of our play off rivals so may look further down the league. Any suggestions? I'd probably plump for Lasse Bjerre, but Leicester still have a chance of the play offs.
  14. Yes Doyle guests for Barker so we can't complain on the choice of guest. We should be getting 3 points here with all due respect to Sheffield and I'll be disappointed if we don't get them.
  15. Edinburgh away too. Think they look favourites for top spot surely?
  16. And we get them. Well done lads. Paid 14 from Heeps, with heavy strapping on a troublesome hand injury. He's had problems with this hand all season which makes his terrific progress this year all the more impressive. Also taken the move from reserve to the difficult number 2 spot like a duck to water.
  17. Weather forecast has turned a bit pants.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2646057
  18. Now I'll certainly be there! My idol as a kid growing up in the 80's. Witches legend.
  19. Went to Mildenhall yesterday and young Josh Bates was again very impressive. I know he understandably struggled when he got a PL chance earlier in the season, but he's very young and improving all the time. He also impressed at Foxhall when he guested a couple of months back. Possibly one to consider for next season especially if we need a 3 pointer?
  20. It's also a myth that you need grippy conditions to produce good racing. Heat 15 after the track slickened off last night a perfect example.
  21. I'd probably say that is a bumper crowd these days, barring the bank holiday meetings.
  22. Is it really August already Nights slowly pulling in, Autumn and the business end of the season just around the corner. Time definitely seems to go quicker as you get older! A scorcher of a day forecast for Thursday though so hopefully another bumper crowd and kids go free with a paying Adult throughout the school holidays. Witches by 10-15 for me.
  23. I wouldn't bother mate, obvious trolling going on here.
