Witches V Rye Pl 26/6/14

Doesn't feel like he's getting the best out of the riders, bit of a strange one. http://www.ipswichwitches.co/index.php/news-centre/841-time-for-a-change -
Ipswich 2014
CardinalSin replied to cowboy cookie returns?'s topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
TBF to the Ipswich promotion, they've put together very good sides on paper in every season we've been in the PL, I've been very happy with all of them. But for whatever reason, every year so far we've underperformed and not done as well as we should have. Too early to include this years in that though, as we're still in the KOC and I'm convinced we'll be in the top 6 so this season could still be a success. -
If our "number 1" matches Barkers 13 tomorrow I'll run a lap of Foxhall pre meeting Thursday in my birthday suit! You won't see paid 14 from Heeps this year either it's really sad to see the lad struggle so badly after having such a promising year last year. I do think we'll win tomorrow, and that's because I think our reserve pairing is a lot stronger than Glasgow's and that will see us through. Possibly.

I think we could possibly take 4 points from those 3 fixtures. With the greatest respect to Glasgow, they look a poor side so we should be looking to win that one at least. -

Having watched him in Risager's testimonial I'm convinced he'd be competitive and score points! -
Somerset Vs Ipswich Koc 2nd Leg Fri 13th June

Isn't that partly to do with rolling averages though? Would be interesting to see what his average is from this season alone as he does seem to have struggled a little at times by his standards. -

If we can avoid fixture clashes and manage to get our own 1-7 in the fixtures, then I strongly fancy us to get through to the final. Plymouth can certainly be very good on their day though no question, so it's certainly not going to be easy. Not as easy as Somerset anyway -

Ah fair doos it's just I looked on their website and the BSPA site for results and fixtures and couldn't see anything there regarding KOC. Had a horrible feeling they weren't taking part for some reason which would have devalued winning the trophy for anyone else IMO. Do you know who they face next? -

Are Edinburgh not involved in the KOC this year? -

Don't think it matters an awful lot how many Vissing gets to be honest. If the contracted Witches can't score enough between themselves to protect a 40 point lead, then they want shooting. We just need to make sure the riders aren't complacent and go there thinking it's already over, then we'll be fine. -

I agree Baldy I just can't see any possible way we could throw this away, hopefully not the kiss of death! Vissing is a shrewd guest too. Knows his way around Somerset and should be good for a few wins. -

I'm not sure how heavily Gino is backed, but his equipment has looked first class from day one. He obviously looks after his bikes, because they are gleaming at the start of every meeting. compare that to a lot of others that don't even look like they've been washed from the last meeting. He also posted pics on Instagram a few days ago of his engine that he sent away for another service, I think that's the second or third time he's done that this season so he's very well prepared. One of the signings of the season for me he's been fantastic and entertaining too. -

SHOULD be Roland. I don't see 6 teams better than this one, so if we don't make the top 6 then we've underperformed. But, speedway being speedway, injuries can strike at any time to change things. On Bash' post above, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to see King line up for us next season with his strong links to the club. In fact, I'll be very surprised if he doesn't. -

That would have stuffed up our entire season. On his average we'd have probably had to make 3 changes. I personally wouldn't swap any of our 6 below Worrall. It would have to be a straight swap for Worrall or stay as we are. Worrall has been a disappointment, no getting away from it. He's had the odd excellent meeting, but generally he's been pretty poor. -

Well that bodes well. Very pleasing and unexpected point at a track we don't normally go too well on. Looking forward to hearing Baldy's thoughts as it seems a few lads rode very well indeed. Great to see Heeps in the points too. -
Don't think its a case of falling for that trick. When you're concentrating so hard at the tapes waiting for them to move, a slight move in your eyeline I would have thought could cause you to drop the clutch, natural reaction. It happens. He said it MAY have caused Nicholls to break the tapes! Which it may well have we'll never know.

Haven't got particularly high hopes for this one. Risager rarely goes well here and Manzares clearly didn't find it his cup of tea either last time out with 4 straight duck eggs! -
Having just seen it again on Sky, you're definitely wrong I'm afraid. He looks left, not right so that clears that one up.

I enjoyed it too, good meeting.
