Well he's the one running the show so it's his decisions and we just have to accept them. We also have decisions to make though, and that's whether to part with our £16 each week so there needs to be something attractive delivered if he wants the punters through the turnstiles. I'll wait for the team before I comment further.

What thing Baldy? You've lost me..

Lanham has a low average, but that's going backwards. If either Lanham or Hawkins are in at the expense of a talented young Brit with obvious potential, then I won't be happy at all. No disrespect to Lanham or particularly Hawkins who did well last year, but there's little to no improvement in either. Ellis has a far far greater upside!

Looks like it. Also looks like the Panthers chap a page or 2 back knows his stuff! @ellis299: Gutted I won't be back with Ipswich next season, can't thank the club enough for all their help. Looking for a new PL club 👍 #NewChallenge Great no Ellis either!! Cheesed off at that one!! The fact he's said hes "Gutted" leads us to think he wanted to stay. I hope Louis has something very good lined up because leaving out Ellis is a mistake IMO.

@mortenrisager: Unfortunately I won't be back at @ipswichspeedway next season! 👎 On the hunt for a new team and hopefully I will know something very soon! 🙌 @mortenrisager: I've really enjoyed the past 4 seasons with @ipswichspeedway Great teammates, track staff, fans and management! Good luck for 2015

Do they? Not sure they do..
-
Replace Wells at 3 in your list with the rumoured Risager and you could be nearly there. That would leave you up to 5.72 for the last rider in the 1-5 instead of Mellgren.. Stead Birks Bellego ? up to 5.72 Risager Covatti Bates
-
Probably because a few non Ipswich supporters (Including the apparent Brother of a Sheffield promoter) are saying Risager is off. Louis seemed confident last week that the team would be announced this week, so fingers crossed we'll all find out in a day or 2. If it isn't announced this week, then maybe He's run in to a few 11th hour hitches!
-
Barker's team riding was evident in his season at Foxhall too. There were times he would shut off on a bend and virtually stop, to wait for his team mate to catch up and then team ride him home.
-
Pretty sure Tungate will be staying put if Risager is off. Would be a major surprise if both were left out and I just can't see it happening.
-
Doesn't look like a Wednesday reveal then as we would have had a Mike Bacon tweet by now, so perhaps we're looking at Thursday. The Ipswich Star quoted Louis last Thursday as saying he hoped to reveal the full team "By this time next week".

No improvement in Mills or Hawkins, little improvement in King and Tungate, Good improvement in Ellis and Heeps and Manzares I'm unsure of. I keep seeing some very nice line ups predicted here, which will inevitably lead to disappointment when the team is announced! So I've thrown in a bit of a pooper, so when it's announced we're all quite pleased
-
I'll have another pop.. King Hawkins Manzares Heeps Tungate Ellis up to 3.96...Chris Mills 3.74 Doesn't look great does it?
-
There was a legitimate reason Heeps struggled this season. At the tail end of the 2013 season he was struggling with a wrist injury. During last winter he had an operation on said wrist that may or may not have been successful because he was still in pain and struggling with it for a good chunk of the season which ultimately also affected his confidence. As the season progressed he gradually started to up his game again and his confidence returned when his fitness returned. He's good value on his current average because the lad is a big talent and great to watch too.
-
If we hadn't have signed King I might have agreed with you as I'm not convinced we'd have enough top end strength with Tungate at 1. But He's not likely to be anywhere near the number 1 spot with Danny King in the side so I think there's more improvement to come from Tungate. Forget his age, Rohan is still very very young in Speedway terms after only 3 seasons in the sport and to be honest, he deserves another season after climbing to number 1 in that short time. I haven't a problem with Risager either, he's a good rider at PL level but it would be a little ironic if he lost his place after just having his best season.
-
You're not the first one to say that on here so maybe there is some truth to it. I'd still be surprised though. Should find out this week.
-
I agree and fingers crossed its with us. Heeps is another young gun I'm expecting better things from after his injury and confidence issues this year. Both these two MUST be in the team.
-
5.50 divided by 0.60 = 9.17 old Premier average.
-
Spot on
-
Agree and he'd be one of the first on the team sheet for me. It's young talented riders like Ellis with obvious potential to improve that we need to keep hold of. If Chris Louis doesn't keep him on he wants his head testing.
-
I Keep changing my mind over Tungate. Sometimes I think yes, our asset, improving every year, and with King signed will more than likely keep out of the number 1 spot so every chance of improving again. Then on the other hand, with King on a near 9 point average and Tungate over 8, I think that might be a little too top heavy and leave us short lower down.

9.23 left.
-
Now "favourited" by Risager..
-
Does he not? Didn't know that. Might make it a tad easier to leave him out then knowing he's not sitting across the dinner table most Sunday's!! Still expect him in the team though!!
-
I agree to a certain extent, but that's the nature of the game isn't it? In this sport, if you want to be successful and win things, you have to be ruthless and pick riders on attractive averages who have scope to up them considerably. Somerset ditched a rider last year before a wheel had even been turned it anger! Harsh in the extreme, but their promotion are relatively successful and win things. The only problem with that from an Ipswich point of view, people could say why is Risager always in the team when he doesn't have much room for improvement either so in that regard Tungate could consider him unlucky. At the end of the day though, no rider is getting sacked. They sign a contract for the season, and when October 31st comes around there is nothing binding club and rider and they are both free to do what they like. It's a two way thing as well, we might well want to retain a rider, Tungate for example, but he may decide he wants to ride elsewhere and there's nothing we could do about it so it works both ways.
