So you do think gate and go speedway is team riding , Leicester have been allowed back in to make the numbers up not because of their stadium or any other reason , apart from some flagpoles advertising Jordan road planing it's the same stadium they had when their application was turned down last time

where have you seen this team riding ? I assume that will be at Bp and what you call team riding is actually when 2 riders from the same team make the gate and stay In 1st and 2nd for the whole race. I would like to hear more about what has been done in the last 3 years if you have time

assuming their local rivals Wolves who they having been busting a gut to race against 12 times a season don't object , it won't really matter about race night anyway because even if it turns out to be every 3rd week on Tuesday mornings , the huge crowds of supporters will still turn out

The occupants of the new housing are on the back foot at the moment as the speedway was there first , That is why some speedway needs to be run at the showground in 2014 , 1 season of no speedway and that will be it forever because a lapse in use will mean the nimbies are in the driving seat and that will be Game over for speedway at EOES

Clunk !!! That's what it will sound like when the penny drops . Of course there will be no GP when Tai or Darcy are due to visit , The not so Elite league fixture list is written around the GP schedule and the world cup and Poland , so every other week there will be no speedway unless it's on Wednesday .

It would be interesting to hear from someone "In the know " a few details regarding , planning permission. were there any complaints throughout the year that could pose a possible threat to the future , if not is there any hope , having shown that speedway is not as noisy as some may have feared of some of the severe resrictions being relaxed a little?,

It seems that No Gp riders will be allowed in the SEC , so now Almost every Saturday will see the top riders (and the not so top ) occupied with riding in big money competition in Europe , I would think that rules out weekend racing for the Lions if they choose Elite League Sorry Mrcts just could not help myself having another dig at Leicester speedway and it's promotion

Are you new to speedway ? or maybe you walk around with your eyes closed , take a look at the clothing people are wearing next time you go to Bp .you will see Coventry , Wolverhampton , Peterborough , Sheffield and Birmingham jackets , that is because some people go to speedway more than once a week and because real speedway supporters like to go to watch speedway at other venues, so if you race on the same night as a team right on your doorstep those supporters will go and watch the team which is the main focus of their support , this means lost revenue . thats why each team gets priortiy over one night in their local area , your eyesight may be jaded enough to think that your team can do without this revenue , but i assure you the promoters don't need to go to specsavers to see that 2 teams 25 miles apart racing on the same night = lost revenue . so they make rules to prevent that happening , wolves have monday coventry and peterborough fri , birmingham Wed . denmark has a large percentage of the riders on tuesday sweden Wed and Poland on sunday . so what does day does that leave ?

Makes no difference whether you grade riders by a letter or by an average , the A grade riders will still be racing the E graders , and their will,be riders who are far better than their grade i, averages are based on actual fact and not on someones assessment , so they are open to less manipulation by the unscrupulous

I'm sure I saw Tai driving past my house this morning in a Transit pickup Overloaded with fridges and old bicycles shouting any old Iron seriously though most older people think people with tattoos are from the lower order of society I certainly do , Having tattoes especially in areas that cannot be covered by clothing , shows little thought for your own future . Imagine what woffindens throat will look like a few years down the line when that mess has faded and smudged as old tattoes do , and his ear lobe is touching his shoulder with a piece of drain pipe forced through it .

I would love to be a fly on the wall in Hemsleys office this Sunday as he signs pay cheques that amount to twice the gate takings . Will the penny drop ?? I doubt it myself .

I dont think Hemsley really considers finance when he makes decisions about Leicester speedway, If business sense ruled the roost at BP then he would have altered the track ready for 2011 after an initial season that saw crowd levels dropping because of the Poor racing , The £8,000 that would have paid for the radical changes needed, if nothing else to give the public the perception that they were being listened to equates to approximately 24 regular supporter over a season , or keeping a civil tongue when speaking to sponsors who could have helped . and far more supporters and sponsors have gone by the board in the last 2 seasons to have put the £8,.000 investment well into profit , but unfortunately his Ego plays a larger part than any financial consideration . Leicester were not in the Elite this year because his application was turned down and for no other reason . Heading into a winter at the end of a season Where the Elite league was on the verge of collapse and looking toward a future without the Sky TV money , even clubs with big money backers are having to consider their future and how to cut costs yet still provide a product that a shrinking supporter base will wish to invest their disposable income on . and as things stand with the Elite league presently , irregular fixtures created by the demands of a few "Top riders " ever increasing wage demands , foreign rider absenteeism because their priorities lie in other countries with bigger pay rates . I would say anyone who allowed their ego to drive them into joining that particular club would need psychiatric help , If speedway as and when , and seeing the same teams 4 or 5 times a season , sometimes with a full squad and sometimes as a select team because half their riders have other commitments is what the paying public of Leicester want , then the Elite league is the place to be , if you want varying opposition and an even chance of winning something without the need for a huge cheque book or some friends on the management committee ( lets face it is Hemsley likely to have any friends let alone friends on the management committee ) Then I would say the Premier league is the best bet at least for another couple of seasons .

If the Elite League survives into 2014 and therefor there is a choice , Which league would you like to see the Lions in ? Supporters of other teams are welcome should they wish to participate , and wit and sarcasm are totally acceptable , But personal abuse is not .
