Ah I would have loved to have have replied to this with some sarcasm or witty repart'ee but i know less about football than I apparently do about speedway and so i'm afraid that I don't understand the analogy -

Don't let that put you off it was only a joke I would not try to stop anybody going to speedway anywhere its true all teams need as many though the gate as possible , although I assume you are relatively new to speedway since you cannot see the funny side of it . couple of bits of advice for your trip to BP first of all there are no casual supporters at BP every one of the 3,000 a week is a Lions supporter and they have such a good crowd they dont need or ever count any casuals in their estimated crowds dont wear any coventry gear , and you must not ever mention Charles Ochiltree , if anyone asks where your from tell them you live in Blaby , now go and check out the 30 year old grudge that some Lions fans still hold against "the filth " that's you by the way even if you weren't born 30 years ago -

they don't wear a sign round their necks or a particular piece of jewellery or brand of trainers , but they usually stand around in groups of about 20 and largely make a point of ignoring each other .. you can start your own gang if you wish although there is already a large choice so you will need your own agenda that has mass appeal if you are to gain a reasonable size group , I take it from your avatar that you are a Bees fan , so you could try starting the I'm about as welcome as a dose of clap group . -

you are correct TMW . a walk round BP on a race night and you can meet , the rose tinteds , anti hemsley brigade . anti popple mob . pro popple mob , the hope the track improves but dont hold your breath brigade ,the David told us so it must be true brigade , the Hemsley brought speedway back to leicester gang , the no he didn't a few people worked for 20+ years before he showed his face and took all the credit gang , do you have a clique TMW. ? -

I think we may have conflicting views on the racing because you are watching at a different Leicester speedway to everyone else , Is there another Beaumont park in a 4th dimension somewhere that I can't see because I only have 3d vision . that would be the place where you saw eleven great races in one meeting I assume  -

do they really ? well it must just be the 2 factions of lions fans who create a tense atmosphere , Leicester Folk have a reputation thoughout the uk for being friendly and welcoming all the other teams tigers and foxes are renowned for their friendly nature , just like the leicester folk on these threads -

well depending on who sent you the PM is whose view you now have now accepted so it's not helpful at all . merely an attempt to persuade you that their opinion is right without leaving themselves open to public scrutiny or debate of that opinion .or in fact the truth or not contained in the PM . -

Best thing is wait and see when you get there , any attempt to debate the track problems will only end in personal abuse as no one other than a select few are allowed to comment . -

He stayed until new years day so that he wouldn't wake up in Aus to find a text message telling him he has been sacked like he did last year . -

sponsorship which is a very necessary source of income these days largely dictates the design of race jackets these days , and changing a clubs logo when the team is established has far wider reaching implications , Would you want to buy a new jacket at £75 because the logo has changed it's not football you know !!, theres not many who would and what about the stock in the shop ,scarves, jackets, caps. etc sell them all off at a loss or chuck them in the bin , there are many who would like to see a return to racejackets that are clearly identifiable like the ones of days gone by , but it's never going to happen . I think the current jackets are fair compromise between clear logo and sponsor space . certainly a lot better than some teams who have a tiny logo on a page of sponsor adverts -

sorry Neb I forgot you were one of the remaining few so you never got a mention, nothing personal , I just haven't seen you spitting bile at anyone who dares to question anything Leicester recently and its kind of difficult for me being (to quote some of your previous bile ) braindead . sorry too that robert has failed 600 times to swallow all that he is fed by the leicester promotion and their lackies (you can include yourself in that so dont feel left out ) but I assume robert like myself thought that being a public forum this would be a place to air concerns or maybe test an alternative view /idea among people who had a similar interest . well I'm afraid Robert got that wrong around 600 times .and despite my own posts being about many different subjects pertaining to Leicester speedway I would think in your esteemed estimation i would not be far behind , Just a note for robert . the lackies have already started projecting the track changes . someone has quoted on here that the entrances to bends are being widened so it's the cheap option .nothing radical like actually doing anything about the length of the corridors that connect the sixpenny bit turns so it wont take very long to do . moving the kerbs in a couple of metres and filling the gaps with shale should only take days . whereas trying to build an actual racetrack out of the pigs ear that was thrown down 2 seasons ago would be a more considerable task taking weeks rather than days , anyway you will have to wait and see whether the racing improves before you make any further comments on the track , why not use the time between now and march to trawl back through the 29 pages on this thread looking for a post by NEB that is actually about a subject rather than personal abuse to others posters . It wont be long before you can come back on here and attempt to debate the lack of effect of the cheapskate alterations so be patient . -

Robert . Glyn Taylor has not gone home this winter , so he needs a source of income to live off and having been shown how lucrative practise sessions at leicester are by the original guy who ran them has pushed him aside to grab the cash for himself so thats why the alterations have been left until the very last minute , I cant see why you have not got bored with the Leicester threads and left them like so many others . why would you want to attempt to debate with the likes of MRCTS who never adds anything other than snipes at people who dont accept whatever they are spoon fed , volty ,fanmale ,hurricanes and Jonny come lately long eye are are no better really . occasionally someone other than these few will make a post based on their perception of how wonderful everything is at Leicester after reading posts by the clique ,such a the voice of reason and assuming they agree with the party line will be greeted with agreement for the headless chickens . do your self a favour and find something else to occupy your time . this lot really aint worth it . anybody who used to post real opinions has long gone maybe it's time to join them ? -
good job having your dad ride isn't the only way of getting a team place . Although If I were a kid trying to break into speedway today I would definitely take the easy option and claim Jason Crump was my Dad or we would never have seen the likes of Ash birks , richie and steve worrall , adam ellis even Mark Loram , theres only one thing that can open doors like an old school tie and that is class !! for those without any the former will have to suffice
-
Come on you Tigers fans give young Jake a break . His father was an England international . had some great years at Kings Lynn and Berwick and was a thoroughly nice bloke as well . but you would deny the kid his chance to ride his fathers coat tails , surely you dont want Sheffield to sign riders whose only pedigree is proven ability and dedication no let them get dissilusioned and go back to MX. no wonder theres no British talent to look forward to when you won't give a lad a chance based on his fathers ability
-
he's from cornwall . I bet you wont be so pleased about signing him when you find out exactly what you have signed . never mind he's keeping a seat warm for somebody later in the season ( well not much later )

Lewis Blackbird rode for sittingbourne in the conference league in 2006 .aged 18 and then Oxford in 2007 in the national league before drifting out of speedway to pursue other interests before drifting back in 2 years ago . so neither a late starter or any major dedication there considering he has had doors opened for him by virtue of his family ties -

Just a quck note to say thanks , to Volty. neb and hurricanes for quckly proving my point and responding with off topic personal attacks and nothing else , I did say to robert 72 that defending himself would register as negative comments against Leicester rather than be seen for what they are and you have all shown that to be the truth rather quckly as well . keep up the good work . -

Robert 72 . can I just offer you a little advise , you posted a comment a couple of pages back which was perfectly acceptable as a point of debate , I. E. if 5 returning riders like the track why alter it ? you have then spent then next 2 pages defending yourself against personal attacks because some posters dont agree with the context of your question . now having replied many times to these personal attacks each and every one of those posts will be attributed to you being negative and anti towards leicester speedway and not simply a defence of your own position . from this point on everything you post will simply be shot down as anti leicester posting , there are only five or six posters who still bother with leicester threads and those posters believe their view is the only one worth listening to , and have driven almost everybody else who has at any time disagreed with their views off these forums . one even cited Ken naylor as having Hidden agenda and constantly sniping at the promotion , as far as I'm aware Ken Naylor has only ever posted once on BSF and that was to put his side of an argument , anyway my advice to you would be not to waste any further time trying to defend yourself . they really ain't worth the effort , I can see you Like a bit of debate and banter so why not try the general discussions forum theres always healthy debate in there on many subjects and none of this lot post on there so the company is far better -

No surprise there then , I m sure the 0ther 10% of the regulars at BP who think speedway owes Leicester something would say exactly the same . but thats only 400 the other 3600 are happy to finally get the track changed and have a team that at least looks like it can hold it's own in the premier league and most of them are grateful that the rules were bent in 2010 to allow Lions to start in the premier league but there always has to be some who never think it's enough
