Was Dwyer that great a loss ?, he's withdrawn after crashing in his first race about 3 times now . and theres plenty of other riders who can collect gifts just as well as he can -

Obviously you are a brummies fan , and have never had the misfortune to have to be on a speedway track at the same time as Adam Kirby , the list of riders he has knocked off and the thousands of pounds worth of other peoples equipment he has damaged is enormous , right back to his days in the MDL he has been a danger to anyone in the same race as him .. is it Something to do with the name Adam because Sheppard is almost as bad ? -
the worst thing that ever happened in speedway , was the Worralls , is it impossible for anyone to see that they are the exception rather than the rule . and giving team places to people on the strength of a reputation gained in MX will lead to more signings of no hopers . the most idiotic signing on the strength of an MX reputation has to be the signing of Emerson Jones at Stoke . he hadn't even turned a wheel for stoke except in the MDL where he proved he had little clue about speedway by getting beat by raw novices , yet still walked around the pits like he was Greg Hancock and then quit . so lets hear of any others from MX who have pulled up stumps . or maybe we should water the NL down a bit more and see if we can attract a few kids in from BMX as well . just what the paying public want to see ..

Just heard the sad news , that the famous tiddlywinks commentator . Alucius Scuttlebottom has died . I thought speedway genaral discussions would be the correct place to post this sad news .since there no more suitable threads.. So having revealed the sad news ,hope you can all get down to the serious business of talking about other famous winking commentators and of course your own memories of great winkers and all time great winks .. happy winking all you winkers -
TBH i cant be bothered with you ,, my opinion is that these kids cont have enough track time or experience to be in races with lads who have . and that will lead to more injuries to both sets , seems obvious not just to me but to a few others but you don't think so . we will have to wait (not too long I'm sure ) and see .but whatever happens I have no more to debate with you about ..

so greaves is out front and lifts coming out of bend 2 , terry-daley(experienced rider ) managed to avoid .. marc owen (experienced rider) managed to avoid , layne cuppit MX rider with limitied speedway experience followed his instinct and went for the brakes , no brakes no other reaction in the memory bank couldn't stop .bang

Simple . natural progression . training school> amateur series > mdl/njl> Nl. it's that easy, prove your worth at each stage and wind up with a team place a safe and competent rider . so you think Nathan Greaves . should accept the fact that an inexperienced rider may crash into him or pack it in . seems a bit harsh that a kid who learned properly through normal channels ,should accept the risk of racing with unqualified riders or give up something they have worked hard and gone through the proper course to achieve , so as not to ripple the waters with one or two managers who are desperate to make the latest discovery and dont mind how many get hurt in the process.. you can teach anyone to lay a bike down , different story when you have to do it in an instant . not something you can learn in an afterrnoon . the only way to learn is from experience gained at a slower pace and without the pressure of league racing in amateur and MDL meetings

Theres a lot more who will get injured yet , epsecially NL riders ,, raw kids given team places on the strength of being seen at winter practise or because they have a relative who Rides/used to ride in races with far more experienced lads some who have been elite league reserves = disaster , they are not only a danger to themselves but to the more experienced lads as well .. good example Nathan Greaves experienced lads negotiaitied round him , raw novice ploughs straight into him and both get injured , shouldn't have been in the same race ,then it wouldn't have happened .
