  1. Nonsense, their averages are also low for the same reason. There's no 5-6 pointer out there that will score 5 or 6 week in week out. Some weeks they'll get 3 the next 8. The only rider's that will show real consistency are your 9 point plus rider's. Between Charles Wright and Kyle Newman there's no contest on potential improvement. Wright can do a job as a 2nd string / 3rd heatleader, Newman only delivers as a reserve.
  2. Friends/girlfriends and alcohol etc is what keeps a rider at standstill. Robert Lambert was relying purely on ability and looked to have hit a wall in progression. Thus until his time with Woffy in 2017 and during the 2017 winter break dedicated himself to health and fitness. What a change he was in 2018, a totally different rider. Speedway today is a different animal to the beer drinking socialising mayhem it used to be. To be at the top, you have to drop ya mates and train bloody hard. There are some very very talented young rider's in British Speedway but unfortunately they get to caught up in "having fun" outside Speedway rather than the dedication needed to try and be the best they can be.
  3. Unfortunately, with the state of the British Premiership and British Speedway as a whole, looking backwards is the only way. None of the rider's you'll have in the side is forward or to the future.
  4. You wish, the discussion is regarding Robert Lambert I'm sure you'll be happy with Simon
  5. Swedish flag on there, so would say it's more to do with his Elitserien club
  6. Simon Lambert's 3.00 is an official average. He was 2.84 as of the 1st September then back up to 3 the following month. Nice try though to keep him out of Peterborough's plans Your welcome
  7. I feel for Adam Ellis in all of this. All set to be part of Poole's Play-Off Final then gets scuppered by King's Lynn having a hissy fit. Could of had the luxury of a trip to Abu Dhabi at the F1, now nothing. He's who I feel for out of all this, kind of rubbing his nose in it when the whole situation wasn't his fault imo.
  8. The "achieved" average is in terms of doubling up. No Championship rider can double up with an average less than 4.50 ÷ 1.5 = 3.00. 2020 season it'll be 4.80 ÷ 1.6 = 3.00 2021 season it'll be 5.10 ÷ 1.7 = 3.00 So on and so on until they reach the conversion rate of ×/÷ 2 This is the exact reason Ipswich are not allowed to sign Drew Kemp at No7 on a 3.00 as his average is lower than 4.50 in the Championship. The BSPA are trying to make sure that the top league is of better standard than in 2018 and build a larger gap between them and the Championship, which should be applauded. Any Premiership rider's that had an average 2.99 or lower that rider Championship are also exempt from the Premiership. Saying all that, the BSPA have failed in allowing Championship rider's that doubled up in 2018 to keep their Championship averages, neglecting their initial intention in trying to force the gap between the two leagues. This proven with Somerset having Schlein, Harris and Covatti. If the correct conversion had been interpreted Harris would be 11.39, Schlein 11.88 and Covatti 7.05. 30.32 leaving 7.68 for 4 team spots. It's a nonsense double up Championship averages have been allowed to continue.
  9. It does work the other way, hence why Championship rider's must have a 4.50 average before they can be employed by a Premiership club on a 3.00.
  10. I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm merely saying what Buster says goes. Whether we think it's right or wrong is irrelevant, hence why I no longer attend King's Lynn meetings at home. I don't agree with the way he runs King's Lynn and I feel badly treated as a fan so the only thing to do is not waste my money on something I no longer believe in. Buster WILL upset folk, there are no doubts about that. Like I said, his way for many seasons now has been to not announce rider's except through supporters meetings or after the new year. I can't see this being any different at Ipswich or Peterborough, when it's Buster's money you do as he says or not at all. I've chosen not at all just so you are aware, I'm not a supporter of him at my club.
  11. Not true though is it. If the promoters are using Buster's money, who do you think should call the shots?? One thing I'm not saying is all the things in the background have to change, certainly not. Supporters clubs, charity events etc etc can continue as they are. But when it comes to money Buster will want things done his way and regularly updated. If Buster says no rider announcements until a supporters meeting is set up or drip feeding throughout the new year, that is how it's going to be regardless of how Rathbone or Louis prefers things done. They're no longer playing with their own money are they.
  12. No, announcements on the team won't be until the new year. As I said, it's the way Buster works. You'll have a supporters meeting when the whole team gets announced or drip fed on a weekly basis in the new year. Just chillax fella
  13. It seems original Championship averages are being used which is farcical to the new conversion rates.
  14. I'm wondering whether they've included the Play-Offs even though they're not suppose too. I can't see any other reason for Robert Lambert to go from 9.31 to 9.13.
  15. That's right, Buster is looking to shut Peterborough and Ipswich down so King's Lynn is the only club within 100's of miles, in the hope of boosting the Adrian Flux Arena attendances
  16. Not usually, tends to be the Bank Holiday bonanza from Saturday to Monday. I think it's just a case of workload having Speedway Friday and being ready for the bank holiday Stockcars the following day. But the return of the Good Friday Norfolk v Suffolk will surely change his mind ££££'s
  17. Good Friday traditionally has always been King's Lynn v Ipswich home and away. Should imagine that it will be a return to that fixture.
  18. With the new rules on converted averages in place it would be a nonsense for rider's in both leagues to continue with their existing Championship average. They should all be converted from Premiership immediately, otherwise with the numbers there are already doubling up the BSPA are not going to achieve anything in reducing the saga.
  19. If it means the return of a real No1 in Doyle those "paltry" 2.5% average reduction means the team you can put together works out about half a point better off. Effectively getting Doyle on a 9. Or another way, rider's almost guaranteed to improve their averages. It's a winning formula that needs to be look at, not discarded. Morris, Ellis, Wajtknecht and Nielsen should all be considered. 1. Doyle 9.57 2. Wright 5.14 3. Musielak 6.65 4. Ellis 6.33 5. Morris 6.74 6. Wajtknecht 4.22 7. Nielsen 3.58 Ave: 42.23 Strength in depth all the way through that team with an exceptional No1
  20. It's not a worry at all. Your whole 7 could already be done. With Buster as owner he likes the whole team to be announced at supporters meetings or after the new year. This helps with the build up to the new season. Absolutely no need to panic So what else do you need, surely not press releases daily? The AGM was only last week and you've already had news that you're moving up a division, Buster owns ya a$$ and Ged is looking at rider's. Keep calm ya mardy bunch
  21. Garrity is 5.45 - 2.5% = 5.31 after his short spell at King's Lynn.
