  1. Exactly right. It's theory hence why first lap times are not recorded in F1. The only times recorded in F1 on the first lap is the gap differences between cars. Even the sector times are not officially recorded on the first lap. Anyway. The argument is the accurate recording of fastest in Speedway. With transponders, it's an inaccurate way to record track records. No more accurate than a guy with a stop watch.
  2. Are you asking how 4th could possibly record a faster time than 1st? Simply put, if you gate a second behind the others & finish half a second behind 1st but finish 4th your transponder will record a faster 4 laps than the rider who finishes 1st. It also depends on where on the bike the responder is. Transponders activate buy passing a beam or cable that runs the width of the track so the start timing of the tapes going up is irrelevant. Hence, in speedway transponders can be more inaccurate than a guy with a stop watch. As another example, in formula one, they don't officially record the 1st lap time as it always records the guys at the back as being fastest as they get a better run up to the start finish line.
  3. I see, so we've gone back to someone scraping the semi-final on 7 points being able to win 20, oh dear. With that scoring system we may as well fix bigger fuel tanks, chuck all 16 riders on track & run 50 laps. That's the only good option for that system. I just think now we won't have rider's going all out for it in every heat. They now know score 8 points and you can win it. One thing it now comes down to is gating in the last heat decider, but, a plus point is Zmarzlik's in danger as he was all about winning every heat with shear speed. That's no longer important.
  4. I'd say bar Holder's crash + what happened to Darcy & divorce he'd easily been a 2x World Champ. If buts & maybe's though. Just have to deal with the hand you're dealt with & for Holder, he hasn't dealt with it at all well. I'd say though, Holder hasn't been anywhere near his peak any longer than Doyle. Doyle will come back again imo, Holder won't.
  5. Not really as it depends on the system used. Most transponders works from when it passes a certain point, i.e. the start finish. Depending on how you've gated the rider finishing 4th could break the track record.
  6. As I said, all except Wolverhampton could make social distancing work if they were to introduce acceptable precautions. It's not that much greater amount of work to do on a race day either. This pandemic will still be around in March so clubs need to get their backsides in gear & have a couple of open meetings to trial for 2021 otherwise they're going to absolutely fooked
  7. Absolutely, apart from Wolverhampton that I can think of, social distancing for a Premiership club would be easy to achieve with their regular crowds
  8. Question, if a mini series does happen what about 2021? There's certain not to be any 2021 qualifiers as you can't just have Ekstraliga rider's doing those. So will it be the same 15 for 2 years?
  9. I'd go with 2021 Robert Lambert doesn't ride the UK.
  10. Not sure on that statement, in terms of what has Robert "got years" on Dan, because it ain't age. Bewley; 20/05/1999 Lambert; 05/04/1998
  11. The difference is, football knows where it stands. Speedway is between a rock & a hard place as it certainly couldn't afford behind closed doors at all. I fully understand that people's money is with individual clubs but the questions should be to the BSPA as a whole. The BSPA should be getting it's house in order, releasing statements etc on behalf of every club. Of course, no club is in the same position financially but for the fans, the plans for going forward has to be from the BSPA & not the individual club. That's where the questions need to go
  12. Put it this way, I'm on holiday from the 17th July (which should have happened in May by the way) & I've sat & waited patiently for information from the holiday company. The holiday cost me £800 & I've not complained once because I fully understand the situation. It's an unprecedented time & if you don't have the patience to wait for an outcome during, what still is, an ongoing pandemic, then I think you need a long hard look at yourselves rather than blaming others. Get a fooking grip FFS.
  13. I'm no defender of Chapman but all I'd say is, there's nothing to say that's already been said, which is; "All clubs want some kind of racing if possible in 2020." Until there is word from the Government & the BSPA I'm afraid there's nothing to tell season ticket holders. It's also been suggested that season tickets may or may not roll into 2021 etc but no club can answer that for definite. The threat of small claims court doesn't stand when businesses have been trying to work or not work in an unprecedented pandemic environment. Plus the fact that no claim could possibly be made until the season completion at the end of October anyway. All I'd recommend is just a bit of patience rather than trying to bash & threaten Buster when he doesn't know WTF is going on himself. That goes on behalf of every other promotion in the UK.
  14. It's just he & his bro's loyalty to Torun. Nothing wrong with that.
  15. That is so true. Yay & a clap or a few F & C bombs is about as exciting as it gets in the UK. The most excitable & entertaining fans in recent years in the UK were the Cradley (Dudley) Heathens. Then that was probably a group of about 10
  16. Funnily enough, all speedway tracks turn left? Would have been a bit odd to turn right
  17. But it could be said that Lebedevs should be more aware of what's around him. Constantly blocking his own, faster teammate all race & previous heat before that too. Lebedevs is a liability for Rybnik.
  18. Thing is for Bewley, could he come back from a flop season in Poland? They're not very forgiving to British rider's if they don't hit the ground running in the Exstraliga. He'll be stuck in the 2nd - 3rd tier over there.
  19. I will but it's my opinion he's overrated. He is in our top 4 rider's but unfortunately that's not a great thing. After Woffy & Lambert we really are in the s#!+ on the World stage.
  20. I know you're joking but I think you're right. There's just something about the British mentality that they believe the hype then go off the rails massively
  21. People from Belle Vue think Bewley's the bee's knees but I don't see it. Overrated
  22. I would of excluded the rider in white. Moved the rider in red out & had no choice but to go up the rider in yellows back wheel
