  1. What in all that has anything to do with British Speedway league racing for the majority of UK fans?? The racing, at King's Lynn From these 3 comments pretty much proves my point. You certainly couldn't sell the sport to a newbie or an oldie with those comments. It absolutely proves the death of the sport that you had to say any old nonsense just to say something. British Speedway needs a hell of a lot of work to bring people in, right now it's dead. Facts
  2. Not at all after 2018 after doing 20+ years home & away. What's your point?? Question still stand, tell us what's good about British Speedway??
  3. Correct, Speedway in the UK is dead. It's getting to the point of just being an amateur sport.
  4. Explain?? Any new fan wouldn't know anything about 'value for money', who rider's are, rapid decline of standards etc etc. What Speedway is doing wrong is not making knowledgeable ex-fans hungry to return. Surely as a 'collective' there could be a decent marketing campaign for the whole of British Speedway. For relatively little money, adverts & pop-ups on Youtube would be a start.
  5. Disgraceful comment. Spurs Son nearly lost his life with a flick on the cheek 2 weeks ago
  6. Crowd restrictions will be in place until at earliest 2022. Most events that sell online only have admin charges. Sounds like an unreasonable moan for moaning sake to me
  7. Correct Trees, people on the inside hated his aggressive nature to implement change quickly. Look at the state the sport here is in now?? British Speedway won't find anyone like him again
  8. Correct, but the old men, no foresight brigade got in the way.
  9. There was a mini-resurgence for the sport when Sky Sports came on board. Unfortunately, every promoter wasted the income on rider's instead of future proofing. As I've said before, the National Speedway Stadium had come 20 years to late. Had any club had the foresight back then, I'm convinced other's would have followed. The financial waste has been astronomical. There is a chance again now to try & do something about it. The pandemic has created a reset. It's critical the sport finds someone from outside to help with the rebuild, there are currently no promoter's with the mindset to do it through fear of damaging their immediate pockets.
  10. You're talking like they'll be 50,000 at speedway meetings. Yes, anything that has spectators will be expected to require a Covid Passport. Getting people through the turnstiles should be no slower than previous though. Even before you still had the old prats that had nothing prepared to enter until they reached the box office, then fumbled around for 10 minutes finding cash.
  11. No secrecy from me. If?? The people running British Speedway have consistently failed the sport for 20+ years. The fans are not the problem here, footfall through the turnstiles is all the proof needed. There's been no "I told you so" from any of us that no longer go. We want this sport to be the best (which it can be) but the promoter's have zero ambition to do so. Their way to keep the money coming in is simply, as the crowd numbers fall, admission prices go up to make up the shortfall. British Speedway's business model is run in an absolutely appalling way.
  12. I've always thought that from 65 two driving safety assessments should be enforced every 2 years. One in the day, one at night.
  13. Wrong. The age group dates are an estimation of where the vaccination will be complete for age groups. Some areas across England are ahead of others & are vaccinating under 40's now.
  14. And? What gives Lawson the right to a spot? Why wasn't he given a spot by anyone else? Sheffield are the team that dropped him, why not question them, he's never been good at King’s Lynn? Just because King's Lynn were the last to declare their 7 you're saying Lawson must be given it, why??
  15. That's King's Lynn's fault how?? The other 5 teams should be ashamed too then
  16. I don't disagree. It's just unusual that a set of commentators follow the sport around regardless of network
  17. I seriously think that those negotiating TV rights must have it written in that Tatum & Pearson have to be commentators.
  18. That's why I find it clubs have committed themselves to rider's with Polish contracts. It would have been just as easy to start the season with non Polish contracted rider's & then make changes as & when if the situation allows.
  19. Wasn't the other issue that the tracks had more shale than today & rider's couldn't stop the engines spinning to hard & couldn't never get the setups right between tracks?? Whereas today, this idea may now have substance with a better pull at the low end on today's super slick circuits??
