  1. Hang on though, who based in the UK is a better rider than Craig Cook?? A UK based replacement can only be a downgrade & the team is worse again is it not??
  2. Us that don't attend anymore have paid in thousands over the years & we have good reason to moan. It's quite clear thing's haven't changed to convince us otherwise. Pi$$ poor promoting Pi$$ poor manager Pi$$ poor team Pi$$ poor race track All at pi$$ poor prices If you're still happy with that, crack on, but some of us feel we deserve so much better & we have a right to voice that opinion, like I said, after spending £1000's over the years. Maybe those that are so blind might start to see the light with regular beatings at home. Going back in to my memory bank, the complete set up currently reminds me so much of Wagstaff's last season, catastrophe. Edit:- For the record, even though I'm never there anymore, I can assure you seeing these kind of results still hurt. It's my home town, fans over the last 3-4 seasons have deserved so so much better than they're getting.
  3. This is part of the problem with Speedway, they treat the fans as 'thick'. Keeping things simple is part of the problem with the sport coming across as boring. To get people interested they have to be shown all aspects & show it's not just 4 blokes going round in circles 4 times
  4. For me it all depends on the score. There are right & wrong times to be exuberant. If a team is 20 points down at home & their rider celebrates a heat win it just shows self importance to me. Teams leading meeting's should be entertaining the fans. If the racing itself is poor this alone can get a crowd "up for it" and helps bring them back the following week. The fans have to feel as though they're apart of the team and it's up to rider's to deliver that inclusion.
  5. It's because they'd had the vaccination first, old folk have turned in to Marvel characters
  6. Lot's to be encouraged about there for King's Lynn. If they can get Bridger & Proctor going they may not be as dead as some think, at least at home.
  7. They've probably all been blocked for a slight negative comment
  8. I've changed my mind on British Speedway trying marketing itself. Not a wheel turned & it continues to embarrass itself. The best thing that could have been done this season is not employ any rider's committed to international racing. A few rider injuries & it's going to be super embarrassing
  9. British Speedway lad, but clearly I just moan for no reason
  10. You don't have many options at all. Most likely will be Richard Lawson
  11. Ipswich now join the race for the wooden spoon
  12. That's certainly made Ipswich brought down to King's Lynn & Peterborough levels. Ipswich now favourites for wooden spoon
  13. There are medical reasons for needing to eat on a regular basis. 'fat barr-stirred' syndrome is rife in this country
  14. While tongue in cheek I think there is an element of truth. There will be many Stars fans wanting to see Crump race for what could be the last time in the UK.
  15. Read all the comments following my disbelief at admission costs. What seems to be missed here is the price rises are counterintuitive. We all understand costs go up for variable reasons. With speedway they have a sport when run correctly they should be looking to bring the prices DOWN. With the consistency of fans walking away (and oldies dying) price rises tend to correlate with this rather than costs. British Speedway knows it's on it ass & there seems to be clear evidence that all that's happening is as fans walk away, prices go up, which will continue until the day comes all tracks doors are closed. There no evidence of promoter's trying to grow the sport, marketing the product etc. Also, evidence of it's huge down turn is TV. When Sky Sports took it there was a massive opportunity to lift the sport but it wasn't taken so Sky didn't want it anymore. Then it went to BT who no longer wants it so now at the bottom rung of Eurosport. The sport is even dying on live TV. I used to be a huge defender of Speedway (especially King's Lynn) but it's very true what people say. Speedway is like any bad habit, once you break it you don't find the need to ever return. There's no 'hook' like there was from 20-30 years ago.
  16. Just seen the prices for this season & I'm absolutely stunned. There is clear profiteering from the few remaining gullible fans there is left. £20 admission £2 grandstand £3 programme This sport is an absolute disaster & disgrace. When will the owners of this sport ever learn
  17. You're talking like Belle Vue sell out every week. The numbers watching Belle Vue are no greater than most other clubs. Again, you peove my point that British Speedway is dead As above, no matter how good the stadium is, the sport just isn't attractive
  18. What in all that has anything to do with British Speedway league racing for the majority of UK fans?? The racing, at King's Lynn From these 3 comments pretty much proves my point. You certainly couldn't sell the sport to a newbie or an oldie with those comments. It absolutely proves the death of the sport that you had to say any old nonsense just to say something. British Speedway needs a hell of a lot of work to bring people in, right now it's dead. Facts
  19. Not at all after 2018 after doing 20+ years home & away. What's your point?? Question still stand, tell us what's good about British Speedway??
