  1. Only 4 should remain for me, maybe Kasper too?? 1. 8.00ish 2. K.Andersen 4.40ish 3. T.Jorgensen 6.50ish 4. L.Kerr 5.40ish 5. R.Lawson 7.40ish 6. 3.30ish 7. C.Mountain r/s Ave:23.70ish Remaining: 11.30ish Will be tough work to find a suitable pairing to fill those averages with other Prem clubs unlikely to want to chop & change, especially Peterborough, Belle Vue, Wolverhampton. Let's be real, no stupid suggestions like Lambert, Woffinden, Zmarzlik. Pretty much right off any rider from the Swedish Elitserien & Polish Exstraliga coming to King's Lynn. Edit: with the top teams averages hitting around 38, will there be a need to increase from 35.50??
  2. There's never been loyalty in Speedway. You may get 1 or 2 rider's over a long period but you can't seriously be suggesting you'd want all 7 of this years team back? Cook's a no from me. As a sufferer of serious mental health myself he's unreliable.
  3. Terrible refereeing, no way Doyle should have gone for that
  4. More like it from Lambert so far. 4 from 2. Fingers crossed, he need big points tonight
  5. Barker could be a solid No2 tbf. His inclusion has also improved us home & away. The big calls are finding a genuine No1, and the strength of the 'Rising Star' is massive. Get these wrong again & it's bottom of the table again.
  6. Lawson, Jorgensen & Kerr deserve to stay on. They've not been the problem.
  7. Fully understand where you're coming from. Lambert has been good in Poland & also the few meetings he's had in Sweden. In Poland though, as the No8, Lambert has been given easier heats & ideal partners to try & get maximum points. The crunch will be when he's in the 1-5, will he cut it? With regards to Championship level he has been abysmal. Was so desperate for him to kick on this year but it just hasn't worked. He's just so far off the pace. I'll repeat what I said a few years ago, & I stand by it. Robert Lambert for me will just be another Chris Harris. Never has what it takes at World level. Simon Stead also has hinted at Dan Bewley being the likely partner to Woffinden at the SON.
  8. Sheikh Mansour is selling up Manchester City to take over King's Lynn Speedway. You heard it here first
  9. His average might help keep him at King's Lynn I just feel Lawson after the season he's had would more than likely want to find a more competitive club. Lawson, Jorgensen & Kerr are the only 3 that justify a return, but you just know Dale will be back on the phone picking his mates again
  10. Think Kerr has to stay. Solid middle order rider. Can't see Lawson being back, also burnt bridges with Cook. All depending on the world in 2022 I think we'll have an even worse side in 2022. Just picking at scraps while the other pick the best of the bunch.
  11. In short: He's not good enough, Bewley's had a better season. Reading between the lines, Stead wants Woffinden & Bewley for the SON. I have to say sadly I'd agree, something's not quite right with Lambert
  12. I'd say Adam is now past young. Now in the mature, experienced stage of his career. This is an interesting one. There is no hard rule that no rider will become 'world class' into their 30's, just it becomes more unlikely. In the same way it's more likely, at peak fitness & maturity, between 25 & 30 tends to be their level Have to disagree. Between 15-22 these are the most important years to hone that potential. I'd agree it's an age of fine lines, between encouraging & killing someone's career. At this stage though the limits do need to be pushed. If thing's are just left to go by, come early to mid 20's, when the real world kicks in too, career's can be over as the work home life balance can become 1 & the same pressures. Some of us fans can be absolute vanker's to rider's but our opinion is less likely to be as damaging than those of Speedway's coaches, manager's & owner's. Like I said, there's no hard rule. There will be another Greg Hancock & another Michael Lee at some point
  13. This 'superstar' you talk of probably haven't been on a bike yet. I can absolutely say with confidence, that rider will not come from this group of rider's being talked about. Some of our current youngsters are already 19-20 or close too & not cutting it as Premiership reserves, just managing 2 averages. We're absolutely levels below foreign U21's at thos moment. 100% we have no high quality potential coming through after Dan Bewley. Many are blinded by the lack of quality throughout in the British leagues.
  14. Well I'll start nicely Hope everyone enjoys the meeting. Right, that's enough of that There still could be speedway at King's Lynn, Buster wants a buyer, not shut it down completely. He was very serious about what he said, so someone needs to find some money quick sharp.
  15. Buster owns the stadium. Just wants to sell the Speedway promotion, would be similar to how TrackStar rent the stadium for Stocks
  16. Apart from Kerr, I'm pretty sure the other really don't give a poop to Buster's announcement
  17. I think what they mean is, if there has been rain & everyone is at the meeting, away teams more desperate for points, unlikely to win, may push harder to get matches off. Thus, the away promoter doesn't have to pay points money, only costs & gain a point etc etc. Speedway mustn't go down the road of awarding points for rain-off's, they'll be no meetings taking place at all.
  18. All about opinion but he's the best of the crop right now for me. The only one to refuse a 'Rising Star' spot prefering to go into the main team. Achieving nearly a 5.50 ave in a crap Ipswich side. I appreciate his attitude to try a tougher route than take the easy option.
  19. I'm glad @phillwhitewasmad & @GWC find it funny our youngsters don't have a future at the top of the sport. Let's just enjoy our kids rattle around UK Speedway, sod trying to be the best you can be
  20. May be the referee had somewhere else to be & needed to leave by 9.30
  21. 100% agree. Just Speedway on the Isle is very expensive. To be a regular from England you need some serious money, the promotion should be interacting with it's punters. 100% the promoter's in the rest of the UK don't know their market. No advertising, promoting etc anywhere & then dish out the "use it or lose it" nonsense when nobody turns up. IOW do a great job, no doubt, but they do have a huge advantage over other tracks.
