  1. Emil is no longer a GP rider, didn't compete in European top leagues & doesn't have a British League established average in 2022. Thus, by the rules should qualify him for an average between 5.00-6.00. Obviously, all rules are at the discretion of the board so it's unlikely, but like Belle Vue, a lawyer can help the situation move along smoothly
  2. Having gone through several seasons regulations, if Ipswich are genuine regarding Emil his average could be very interesting. At Coventry 2011 he never achieved an average & was assessed an 8.00. Previous rules have said that the previous season GP, Ekstraliga, Elitserien rider's are assessed 8.00. The interesting part is (& I'm sure Ipswich will be arguing) that rider's that have no British established average & have international league experience but didn’t compete the previous season should be assessed 5.00. Can you imagine the meltdown if Ipswich pull off Emil on a 5.00 average
  3. Shows how little knowledge of the sport you have if you can't see Tungate is levels above Masters
  4. Bit of a shock, but I'd probably take Harris providing his forms good for Leicester & Brennan as the U24
  5. It seems many don't understand team makeup & averages when it comes to understanding a No1 & a genuine No1. Take King's Lynn also, Klindt is our No1 but he's not a genuine No1. There is no way any other team would take him over what they have. For me, King's Lynn & Wolverhampton are the only teams to have rider's that are not genuine No1's
  6. Kurtz, C.Holder, Tungate are levels above Masters. 4th on the list isn't worthy when Doyle, Fricke & J.Holder are already GP rider's. Think about it this way, like (potentially) Ipswich has Doyle & Sayfutdinov, Belle Vue Bewley & Kurtz, Peterborough C.Holder & Pedersen, for example, where would Masters be if Lindgren & Woffinden were available to Wolves?? The answer would prove Masters ISN'T a genuine No1, even at Premiership level. Secondly, there wouldn't be many takers for Masters on his average at any other Premiership club
  7. Anyone calling Masters a genuine No1 has clearly had to much drink over the holidays. A genuine No1 doesn't also ride Championship speedway, they'd be in the top leagues on the continent. Masters is boosted by his home track. Away averages including BP's in 22; Doyle 9.87 Musielak 8.42 Kurtz 8.19 Fricke 8.10 Masters 8.09 From that list only Doyle & Fricke can be considered genuine No1's. Fast forward to 23 & (predicted) incomers of C.Holder, Iversen, Pedersen, Sayfutdinov, Masters should slip down the order. His only saving grace will be his home track & no rider's within his own team to challenge the No1 jersey. Whereas, Belle Vue, Sheffield, Peterborough, Ipswich (with predicted incomings) have genuine challenges from within their own team to be the No1.
  8. The downfall for you guys is Doyley's retirement. Don't think Fricke, C.Holder, J.Holder, Kurtz will cut it
  9. Interestingly, I don't think Poland look all that strong. Zmarzlik obviously can go through the card but even he jas tenancies to have a wobbly moment. Zmarzlik, Dudek, Janowski look an obvious 3 but the 4th spot looks weak & may be Miśkowiak will get the nod in more heats. Great Britain are the challengers but a huge reliance on Woffinden upping his game.
  10. Is the hold up potentially Emil only wanting until May. This seems to be the thing with many Exstraliga rider's not wanting or being allowed full UK seasons.
  11. Only because he's foreign, not because he's better
  12. Including the predictions for Peterborough & Ipswich's final spots 1. Peterborough (Holder, Tungate, Iversen) 2. Ipswich (with Emil) 3. Sheffield 4. Belle Vue 5. Wolverhampton 6. Leicester 7. King's Lynn
  13. There will be protests outside the stadium, with flares & banners singing "weeee want Chapman back, say, we want Chapman back".
  14. That's what happens when you have 1 track ponies. None are genuine heatleader standard. They'd all be below a 7 at any other PL home track
  15. What's Madsen & Michelsen got to do with Poland's squad? Is this World Cup (unfortunately) running an U21/U24 team position is the question??
  16. Would Jakub Miśkowiak's inclusion in the squad suggest that a 21 or under has to be included for the World Cup?? Or is he actually THAT good??
  17. I'd say, still don't rule Tungate out. He knows his comments will travel the seas & he'd have been asked not to say anything until officially announced. If he'd have said "yes, I'm in the UK for 23" everyone would know it's Peterborough.
  18. Means a possible Pedersen, Iversen & Holder top 3. Fun times surely no??
  19. People look at averages too simplistically. Look at the team Basso was in last season, competition within his own team wasn't of high calibre. If the team is to have Pedersen / Iversen, Tungate / Worrall & / or Holder, the standard is much greater to compete with. Then there's the opposition where other teams have also improved their quality too. I think Basso will very much struggle to maintain his near 7 average
  20. The rule for this is very different. Foreign rider's can never dip below 4.00 at all times. The 2.5% & 25% is / should be for team building only & rolling averages determining team position. I don't think it's a complicated system
  21. Made me chuckle my apologies "show a meeting every week or sometimes 2 meetings over 14 days"
  22. No thanks. The World Cup should be the best available rider's a country can offer. Scrap all ideas of forcing the including youth.
  23. Simply because it's his average. The advantage to Brennan & Belle Vue is already given with ¼ off his average. Without that advantage Belle Vue wouldn't have been able to put that team together or Brennan would have missed out completely. With that reduction, starting at reserve is also a 2nd advantage with a rider that is clearly at 2nd string level comfortably.
  24. I actually agree, hence I'd placed him in the top 5, but apparently Mark Lemon confirmed Brennan will be starting at reserve. The 25% should be team building only.
