  1. The guest rule again seems ambiguous. If still fit (with my take of the rule) Tero Aarnio is the best guest option with a PL green sheet of 4.55. The rules only insist that the league average the rider guests in be used. If fit & available, surely Belle Vue would be on the phone? Next best option would be Kasper Andersen (if fit & available)
  2. You can call me out lad. It was my opinion & I still genuinely believe, had he stuck around British Speedway, he would have become the next Chris Harris. The best thing Lambert did was get away from King's Lynn & British Speedway. I'm certainly not embarrassed by those thoughts, he was annoying the s#!+ out of me with his curb crawling in the first half of the GP series. 2nd half, went up another gear. Couldn't be happier for him. Now, he HAS to become consistent but becoming World No5 I'm more than pleased to also never make that comparison again. Amazing thing has just happened for social media - 'Man 43 changes his mind'. Call BBC, ITV, Sky news quick sharp chap
  3. Sheffield are very very much in it. 12 points is absolutely nothing & Lambert, 100%, won't be going through the card in the 2nd leg
  4. It probably did but it doesn’t have to. All dependant on the amount of time a rider has when changing bike
  5. No it doesn’t. Can use bike 1's tyre or any of his own teammates match issued tyre plus bike 2's worn tyre
  6. Even with Lambert, Belle Vue need to hit a 53-37 minimum. Anything less gives Sheffield something to chase hard. 17+ points will force Sheffield to ride a little more desperate
  7. Any rider taking tips from Masters has no future
  8. Would everyone accept this? SGP top 6 qualify for next series. GP Challenge should consist of rider's NOT in the current series. Top 7 qualify for....... New - GP Qualifier; Mid October, after the SGP series is complete, the SGP bottom 9 face the GP Challenge top 7. Then the top 9 qualify for the following SGP Series. The SGP Qualifier must be contested at an SGP circuits over 2 race weekends. Is that more acceptable than 'Wildcards' ??
  9. Different times, British Speedway was the pinnacle of the sport. 1 off finals etc. Tight difficult tracks today get you nowhere if you want to reach the top. Zmarzlik, now 3x world champ is an absolute speed merchant, no trick track learning to be where he is. Any thought process pre 2000s is irrelevant
  10. Absolutely, Belle Vue is the place to be, unfortunately, every other club is 2nd rate. With Poland & GP's every modern rider's dream Belle Vue offers the best training opportunity. No British rider with any ambition should be looking at trick tracks & those that are FTG's.
  11. Belle Vue's likely team. 1. C.Harris 2. T.Brennan 3. S.Nicholls 4. C.Wright 5. S.Lambert 6. C.Mountain 7. C.Bailey
  12. I can't see why some are saying it's a boring selection. It was the only selection imo, unless they put more Poles in the line-up, & nobody wants half the field to be like that. No extra Brits, Swedes, Danes, Germans etc deserve to be at the top table right now. Anyone else (except Poles) would have weakened the series further.
  13. Belle Vue's likely team. 1. C.Harris 2. T.Brennan 3. S.Nicholls 4. C.Wright 5. S.Lambert 6. C.Mountain 7. C.Bailey
  14. That's some gamble on this years evidence. Exstraliga, Lambert 9th - Doyle 16th in the averages. SGP's, Lambert 5th - Doyle 10th.
  15. Robert Lambert rocks up & makes him look very average, smoke that brudda's
  16. I don't give 2 s#!+s about British Speedway as a competition any more, at least there could be a challenger so Doyle's not going through the card unchallenged tonight. I just hope Sheffield make the final, will be better meetings than Monmore.
  17. Speedway as a whole, across the UK, has no future. While I understand the anger towards GI, Osborne etc, absolutely massive, huuuuuge responsibility is on the BSP(A)L for their total lack of awareness, laziness, & self serving, in not pushing this sport in the right direction at the turn of the century. No sport can survive when it's reliant on others
  18. The comment does say 5 of 7. Most likely these are the 2 that will be out. Replacements will be a struggle to find.
  19. 100%, I'd argue British Speedway stagnated Robert Lambert when he was here. It wasn't until he went to Sweden & 2nd tier in Poland he kicked on again. Now with Torun & GP's he's gone on again. Hopefully the progress will continue. I'd argue the same with Dan Bewley. He was going stale & really struggled in Poland, until Woffinden stepped in & gave him equipment. Both Lambert & Bewley have really really gone on to establish themselves as 'World Class' & they absolutely owe British Speedway nothing. For any rider that wants to reach the top of the game, they have to leave this island & head to the greater Europe
  20. Clearly protecting themselves for a more important Play-Offs. Can't blame them as they're the underdogs, they need a fully fit 7 to stand a chance.
  21. Think even the Play-Offs have taken a dive in recent years. The semi-finals no longer are rammed full, same with finals. The issue is, they're exactly the same as a regular meeting. There's no fanfare at all & except an extra £5 on the gate. Punters are turning away from the Play-Offs too in favour of watching on TV
