  1. That is a good looking line up. The only rider I would have liked to have seen in that list is Ulrich Ostergaard.
  2. This may be a little extreme but if I was running the GP series this is how I get the qualifiers, just bare with me here. Now, we all know that the GP tracks are available for a Friday & Saturday. At the moment there are 11 round, Slovenia Poland Sweden Denmark Great Britain Czech Republic Sweden Latvia Poland Italy Germany + Australia (Hopefully in 2009) Could it not be possible to stage a GP qualifier on the friday afternoon repair the track and then GP practice in the evening ready for Saturday. So, the qualifiers for this would be each National Champion (or second, third or fourth place rider if the riders ahead have already qualified for the GP being in the top 13) and the World Under 21 Champion and the bottom 3 from the previous GP series. The top 3 from the GP Qualifiers would progress to the world stage. It would go something like this Friday GP Qualifiers 16 riders 20 heats Top 8 qualify for Saturday GP Practice Saturday Pre meeting GP Qualifiers Semi Final's & Final Then the usual GP series
  3. I'd like to see a test match against Ivory Coast or someone like that. We'd atleast see our boys win for a change.
  4. Well that just make the home advantage debate even greater. Anywhere else the Comets would most certainly have not got in the top 4 without Nermark, let alone win it. It just proves home advantage.
  5. Something that a mate said to me last night. Our team was picked on the basis of having Coventry track specialists and three of them are still riding for them this year. Where are Coventry in the EL, that's right, second from bottom. Not a great start for picking a team is it?????? If they were such track specialist they would have home averages over 10 each.
  6. GB have no chance in the world cup. Harris and Nicholls are utter rubbishe against average riders
  7. I agree with most, this has to be the only 5 to be concidered use in the World Cup. Nicholls Harris Rico Kennett Woffinden If any of the riders don't perform then I'd only throw Bridger in there.
  8. Complete racing incident Gollob was coming across lining up going into the corner which he has every right to do as he was leading the race and AJ was looking for the outside run on Gollob but was carring to much speed and clipped Gollobs back wheel. No blame of anyone in my opinion, just racing All the best to AJ
  9. Well, ya know us English are too lazy to learn another language Hope the meetings have been entertaining. It's a bloody long day though. Is is a public holiday over there or something to have the first meeting at 1300hrs?????
  10. The least you could do Anders is put the heat details in English
  11. Because the BSPA are trying to make a point that J Chapman was useless and anyone can do it but actually making themselve look even more stupid
  12. Nice to see things being organised in the right way by the Elite League promotors PREMIER LEAGUE SPEEDWAY IS THE REAL SPEEDWAY
  13. JONATHAN Chapman has labelled Bjarne Pedersen a 'prima donna' after blaming the Pirates star for playing a major role in getting the Elite League Best Pairs' Championship called off. King's Lynn's co-promoter tarred most of the 18-man field with the same brush after the first meeting of the Super 7even series was controversially washed out at the Norfolk Arena on Saturday. But Pedersen hit back by claiming the Saddlebow Road circuit was "too icy and dangerous" for the event to go ahead after a heavy downpour 20 minutes before tapes up had saturated an already heavily watered track. Too icy, too icy. What an idiot. It was no way in the world the track was icy and everyone calls JC every thing under the sun but that is also a ridiculous comment, and there's more An already heavily watered track. Bloody hell, Poole really must ride an absolute dust bowl if he thinks the track was heavily watered. Buster went round for two laps and gave it a little sprinkle to keep the dust down. Poole Castle Cover's spearhead was also angry because he alleged Chapman had shouted to him after the postponement: Riders have too much money. It's all about the money with you guys, not the paying public.' Pedersen, who had been due to defend Poole's title alongside Davey Watt, said: "When we walked out on the track it was like ice. I think he was meant to say "When I can out the pit gate and done a couple of skids on my steel shoe I just knew this track was to grippy for me because I wasn't sliding much" "So I can't understand why the promoter and track staff were so angry the riders wanted it called off because it was too dangerous. "If you look back at last year's Elite League Riders' Championship here, the track had got a bit too much water on it. advertisement"It was like ice and there were four or five crashes before they stopped the racing and worked on the track to make it better. Another lie. 3-4 riders slide off there bikes but I wouldn't have classed a slide off as a crash "It would have been just like that this time, so I asked if they could put some fresh material (shale) on it. "But the promoter said to me the meeting was off because you, Leigh Adams and a couple more riders whose names I didn't hear don't want to ride'. "Then he said we have too much money, but I said it's not about the money, it's just about the safety side of it'." Pedersen added: "The ref (Dave Dowling) said conditions were too dangerous. Another lie. That's not what the ref told micman which everyone in the stadium heard. The truth is from the ref "The riders have agreed that the track needs a bit of grading and as long as there isn't to much more rain the meting should be able to continue." "It's not that big money is this event anyway. It's more to do with running a big meeting in England with the top riders. It's really wrong to say we have too much money. "It's completely out of order for him to say that. We are looking at safety, not money." Chapman, who was staging his last meeting as Super 7even series director before voluntarily relinquishing the role, said: "I think these guys will push their luck as far as they can with a referee. "As far as I could see they (the riders) didn't even walk out on the track before they said it needed blading. "Our track man said it didn't need blading, it needed the rippers. They then only walked out on the track because they had asked to see the ref. Then they said it was okay, it needed the rippers. "The riders chose to rip it, including Bjarne and Leigh, but low and behold, 20 minutes later when we are ready to race and the ref is saying the track is fine, Bjarne says to me it needs blading. "I said Bjarne, you said it needs rippers and now you want it blading.' I added don't you think the paying public deserves to see you ride'?" Chapman, who only decided not to run King's Lynn in the top flight this year shortly before the BSPA's winter conference, added: "I have no time for Elite League riders, they are all prima donnas, although Jason Crump is one exception in my eyes. "I have dealt with a lot of Elite League meetings now with the Super 7even. I know it's a dangerous sport and I will never disrespect a rider, but it is two-way traffic. "They (the riders) all keep doing it (forcing referees to call meetings off). "They must have forgot there was prize money here. "Bjarne can be as upset with me as he likes, but I'm just as upset with Bjarne."
  14. i.e. means that there will not be a restaging of the pairs at the Norfolk Arena and there never will be an EL event there ever again in my opinion. To much for the club to lose and absolutely nothing to gain from these events.
  15. I'd say a little over half that 16-1800. Not as many as last year for sure
  16. No Premier League meeting would have been called off tonight, that's for sure. The track to me looked raceable let alone rideable. I can understand Busters fustration but all tonight has proved to me is that our club doesn't need the Elite League. All EL riders can go namby pamby off in there own back yards. Even the Ref seemed to want the meeting to continue but the pussy riders know best.
  17. Ryan Sedgmen for King's Lynn. Looks good enough so far. Is he ready for England??????????
  18. Can anyone let us know how Tommy Stange is getting on and if they know what his plans are for 2008. As you may well know that Trevor Harding suffered injury in Australia and may miss the UK season. Would he make a decent replacement at King's Lynn? Would he be interested? When he last rode at King's Lynn he looked pretty good and I would like to put some pressure on the promotion to get him in.
  19. Good idea but I'd have Sweden as the forth seed and GB unseeded
  20. I'm also having streaming problems but as soon as they put the adverts on it's perfect Still, a great job there doing and hope the young lad who went over the fence is OK.
  21. That is a dead spit of the Norfolk Arena Hope the Chapman’s have their solicitors on the case Fair play to the Rusty's. If there gonna create more stadia like that along with the larger stadiums in Poland we may struggle to hold on to riders in our own league.
  22. Is there any live update sites, internet TV, internet radio, fixture lists and track websites to keep up with the sport over the winter months please. Thanks
  23. I'm going for some outsiders . Damian Baliński POL 10. Fredrik Lindgren SWE 15. Krzysztof Kasprzak POL 16. Denis Gizatullin RUS
