Ben Fund Meeting
Daniel Smith replied to colincooke's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I'm in 2 minds at the moment. This is a great cause, Topinka's in the line up and it won't be very often I'll get to see him up against the worlds best but it's also United v Fulham. The weather may be the decider. -
New Zealand Championship 27 Feb.
Daniel Smith replied to peterh7's topic in International World of Speedway
If he hadn't of finish 2nd serious questions would have been asked. It's not really an achievement with that line-up. It would have been an achievement to have finished 1st ahead of Bunyan -

I think some people should read the AGM 2009 thread again in the speedway general thread. The rumours came from the Newport speedway site about us having the fours and J Chapman said then, back in November that the information was factually incorrect and we wasn't having the fours Have that Drac -

And I'm also gonna use your post. How many years has your club had the fours. "Talk about sharing the events around". When have we have the PL 4's. That's right, never. The British Semi-Final, again, never had it at King's Lynn The World Cup at King's Lynn has absolutely nothing to do with the BSPA. It's an FIM meeting and we offered the best package for the meeting obviously. It's about time some of you climb down from thoughs extremely hugh high horses that you all have. -
We did have Jason Bunyan ride in the 2009 British Final

And for a Peterborough fan to say we have sub standard stadium and facilities is a joke, lets have a look what they have. They have burger van for there 50 fans a week / we have a burger van, 3 cafe's & a pasta bar They have toilets / So do we They have a grand stand to seat 2000 people / we will have seating in place for about the same at the event They have cold wet, slippery grass bank to stand on / we have great high stepped concrete banking all the way round They had to have our promotor prepare their race track last year, that says a lot to me -

Someone is gonna have to help me out here as I think I'm going a little mad. Darcy Ward is down to ride in this & the Under 21's World Final which are both down for the same day What are the start times + the situation regarding travel plans -
Spot on, Birmingham would probably be most peoples choice as the fairest track but unfortunatly their future is in dout so that has to be counted out for the time being. After Birmingham, their really isn't a PL track out there to hold an event like this with out the home rider having a massive advantage.

Home track advantage???????????????? YES What Proctor was trying to say with his comments, were, that had it of been at King's Lynn Darcy or Topinka would more than likely have more chance to have won it anywhere else the home track rider would more than likely win it, i.e. a different winner I would put my life on the line and say that Ashworth, anywhere else wouldn't have even made the final. In true refection to talent, Ashworth isn't even top 20 in the Premier League. Should I congratulate Ashworth on his win, NO, but well done Darcy, Ty & Howe on making the top 4

Only in the super weak British Elite League. They are no better riders than Zorro as a whole. -

I hate the guy with a passion but well done Zorro, atleast this guy will put up a fight for every point up for grabs. Not like some of the shower of rubbishe that's in the GP's this year -

No argument from me there but assuming one wildcard had to go to a Brit as none have qualified, it has to be Lee Richardson -

Give Holder's wildcard to Tai Woffinden, if he doesn't want it, offer it to Darcy Ward. -
British Riders
Daniel Smith replied to Phil The Ace's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Just my opinion, but if I was the FIM and they wanted 2 Brits in the GP I'd do this:- Have the British Riders Championship on Wednesday 10th March 2010 at Peterborough, top two to qualify for the GP series, 3 & 4 reserves for the British GP. 1, Lee Richardson 2, Scott Nicholls 3, Chris Harris 4, Simon Stead 5, Edward Kennett 6, Oliver Allen 7, Lewis Bridger 8, Tai Woffinden 9, Daniel King 10, James Wright 11, James Grieves 12, Ben Barker 13, Jordon Frampton 14, Joe Haines 15, Robert Mear 15, Andrew Tully
