I too will be gutted to not get Rose as a pick. The only other us Stars will have an affiliation with is Simon Lambert but that looks unlikely as he's top of the 2nd group and Kerr tops group 1. If I had to select another from the group I'd be ok with bottom of the pile Dan Greenwood. He's looked pretty good round the NA this season and looked to enjoy the wide open space of the track.

Elite League Draft Riders
Daniel Smith replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I feel for the riders in this as it seems they have to go where picked regardless and that's completely unfair. A rider from the north gets picked down south and visa versa -
Gotta say, I'll be a little bit p!ssed if we let Schlein go.

Leicester 2014 . Elite

We all know, if the money is the right colour for Schlein from Leicester then that's where he'll be. Asset of ours or not -
That's one thing we have to make absolutely clear to the riders. You commit to 100% of the fixtures or we look elsewhere. Saying that, when Iversen did go missing just how good was it seeing Woffinden racing & team riding as a guest, something rarely seen from our own No'1. He was just sensational as a guest.

Bbc Sports Personality Of The Year

As much as we'd love Woffy in the top 10 you'd have to be fairly deluded to think he'd come above any of the top 10 picked. In fact, the biggest crime is not having Phil Taylor in the selection. He's in his 50's for goodness sake and he's probably had the best year of his life still pushing the game of darts to an incredible level. What I will say though, if Woffy goes on to win another Worldy in the next couple of years there will be justification. Speedway (and rightly so) is well well well down the pecking order. I think the 10 selected is probably the best top 10 selected in many years IMO. -
I'm quite surprised that there's no complaints about Korneliussen being left out of my selection as he's been a superb rider for us. I would be amazed if he's left out through choice. When you think about it though, Bjerre, Iversen and Schlein would be awesome and the preferred choice but I think it would come under the 'unaffordable' category

Funny you should say that. I was PM'd on Twitter today saying if Sky are on board we could have a new main team sponsor with Roger Warnes becoming secondary sponsor. The King's Lynn 'Readypower' Stars Hopefully someone will clear this one up quickly but Readypower and Kenneth Bjerre do seem to come as a pair so I'd imagine that Bjerre will be sponsored by Readypower more than King's Lynn would. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bjerre at Lynn. Could we fit Bjerre, Iversen and Schlein in out of interest

Elite League Draft Riders

You are seriously mistaken to think all the top NL riders are on £10 a point. Especially the ones most likely to be given the opportunity for EL. I know of 2 being paid £45 + expenses. This £10 a point is a minimum wage in the NL not the maximum -
Could he be giving Belle Vue a miss. Would be a surprise I have too say Craig Cook Twitter "@the_cookstar: “@NoBrakesNoGears: “@the_cookstar: Deals with PL and EL done and dusted. Roll on 2014 ✊” any clues ” you might be surprised "

An exciting young up & coming superstar (Robert Lambert) turns round and says I'm not riding for you for £40 per point. I fully expect any British team to offer him more to keep him wouldn't you??? There is a good list of rider's that could pull these strings -
http://www.speedway365.com/gb-to-face-aussies-in-swc/ Well, that's the Russian's not turning up again. Garranteed race-off spot I suppose

Exactly. The riders should choose where they want to be not a stupid draft system. It's just unaffordable at £120 minimum If I was a drafted rider that had to travel 100's of miles knowing I'm only likely to earn £120 I'd just touch the tapes in all rides and wait to be fired and try to make the other league's pay. -
When Is A Rider Considered Too Good?
Daniel Smith replied to barrow boy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
All Brits, every single one of them should be allowed to ride PL if they so wish and PL team wishes to employ them as long as they're not racing in any of the league's on the Continent. Regardless of average or age we have to try and keep our own employed. Riding in the EL alone isn't financially viable -

You are kidding right???? The BSPA are expecting these boys to ride 4-5 times a week in 3 different leagues for what could be as little as £600 in wages. That isn't development, that's slavery with the current costs of participating in this sport. The BSPA have no thought for the future of our own rider's yet again just the same old self interest bullpoop. -
Leicester 2014 . Elite
Daniel Smith replied to jim the whipper's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That would be a fairly decent team. When using KK it's important you keep him away from the no'1 spot as he will let you down. -
You're right Kerr won't be a B grading but surely Lambert will be??? OK , he obtained a 10+ average in the NL and rides in Germany but he has 0 PL / EL experience and are the guys in Germany week in week out all that cracked up???

It's absolutely lovely that everything seems to have been kept behind closed doors. The facts are, Mads and Rory are talking to someone and everyone else is saying diddly squat on Twitter. Scott Nicholls is now available, would you have him in??? I would even though he is a Twitch Bitch I fancy Niels to give the EL a miss. Would anyone be happy with this completely random team that does have a bit of strength in depth to it? 1, Scott Nicholls 7.19 2, Nicholas Porsing 3.51 3, Mads Korneliussen 6.97 4, Rory Shlein 6.84 5, Joonas Kylmakorpi 7.12 Ave: 31.63

As I said before it is aad to see P'boro lwave the EL or potentially close for good. Nobody should gloat about it over what happened 2-3 years ago. Everyone is nieve to think it can't happen to their club. Where will Poole be without Ford? Where will Kings Lynn be without Chapman? Where will Coventry be without Horton?

Elite League Draft Riders
Daniel Smith replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thanks mate. I purposely put that list together to frustrate others giving Kings Lynn Lambert & Kerr and putting other club assets elsewhere and they took it. Some clubs are going to be upset with who they get and some will be extremely happy. I do think though that the riders first and foremost should be allowed to say yes or no. They just can't be forced to take a spot they don't want. -

Really??? We know how some teams like to bend rules so here's how that rule will work and I will use the biggest benders in the game, Poole. Rider at No'1 has 2 0's. Another has 2 wins. What happens next??? -

You are correct in some of the things you say. It's exactly why I created the thread so we all can physically see what we're up against allocating riders. Also the riders have to agree also. It would only take 2 or 3 to say "I'm not doing that" the system's up the poop creek before it starts. My list creates a whole host of issues 1, Clubs not getting their assets 2, Clubs getting their assets but that's the strongest pairing around 3, The allocation will create logistics problems 4, Which riders should or shouldn't be on the list Personally, maybe their should be a pot of 40 British under 25's riders. These riders then pick a 1-2-3 of clubs they'd like then they negotiate with said clubs. If all 40 had Poole as 1st choice that's great for Poole and they cherry pick the best for them and so they should as that's where the riders want to be. If nobody listed Belle Vue then they'd have to wait for the scraps and who says yes. First a foremost, riders should not be forced to be where they don't want to be. -
Who do you think will be the riders in the groups? Where would you place them? Here's my list Group A PL Ave:- Ashley Birks 7.30 (Swindon) Josh Auty 7.24 ( Birmingham) Andrew Tully 7.19 (Belle Vue) Kyle Howarth 6.63 (Poole) Lewis Kerr 6.09 (Kings Lynn) Jason Garrity 5.45 (Leicester) Kyle Newman 5.32 (Eastbourne) Lewis Blackbird 4.93 (Wolverhampton) Charles Wright 4.30 (Coventry) Adam Ellis 4.25 (Lakeside) Group B NL Ave:- Robert Lambert 10.30 (Kings Lynn) Paul Starke 9.93 (Wolverhampton) Ashley Morris 8.83 (Birmingham) Joe Jacobs 8.71 (Coventry) Robert Branford 8.53 (Swindon) Stefan Nielsen 8.00 (Leicester) Ben Reade 7.70 (Belle Vue) Jake Knight 7.62 (Eastbourne)) Josh Bates 7.49 (Poole) Daniel Halsey 7.43 (Lakeside)
