  1. This was tried for 1 or 2 seasons in the PLKO Cup but got scrapped as teammates were taking each other out on the 1st turn to often.
  2. And there lies the problem for the Brummie promotion. You had a team that was up the top of the league almost all of last season and the support was still dreadful according to the promotion. If money is short, they may be of the opinion of building a super cheap team and lose a 100 or so on the gate and be personally better off. As a promotion, you would have to rethink what strategy is required to make more money. If challenging for the EL title isn't working to bring people in, then the other end of the scale must be thought with hopes being pinned on the quality of racing to improve. Just a thought!!!!!
  3. Best wished to Steve. Definitely not nice to hear and hope the lad makes a full recovery.
  4. This is what makes speedway fans look like real saddo's to the rest. Good jobs this isn't being seen by more than 200+ that's viewed this thread.
  5. Eddie Kennett   See why Morris got out (But as a Brit it would be nice to see Kennett come good again)
  6. I agree with you all, if King's Lynn ever close their doors it's no more speedway for me. Nobody wants any club to close but when push comes to shove, you're only interested in your own team. No King's Lynn, No Speedway
  7. I agree and what gets me also is when people being their newborns to their work place to show off like a new car. OK, you're proud but work colleagues really couldn't give a sh...... I just don't get it at all
  8. I suppose it all stemmed from you calling alan jones statement incorrect. The facts are clear. While Peterborough are not running a team the BSPA hold all the assets. At this point Peterborough have no say what so ever where riders go and how much loan fee's are paid as they're not seeing a penny. If they don't come to tapes at all in 2014 that will remain the case even if new owners are found. So, in effect, right now just for 2014 Peterborough have no assets and that is what alan was saying in a very short sentence
  9. I find that a little random seeing as Berwick's official site has no mention of the Panthers promotion, in fact confirming terms were agreed with the BSPA.
  10. Must of missed that bit seeing as he's gone to Berwick also no mention of Peterborough's promotion in the press release BANDITS CONFIRM THE VISSING LINK on 14 December 2013. Berwick Bandits are delighted to confirm their fourth signing for next season. He is 27-year old Claus Vissing, from Grinsted, Denmark. Claus has been anxious to link with Berwick for some time, but as his contract was to an extent in limbo after the closure of parent club Peterborough, it was only late on Friday that full permission was given for him to link with the Bandits (on loan from the BSPA) and his personal contracts were signed and registered. Claus spent 2013 with Edinburgh, and was impressive on visits to Shielfield, both with the Monarchs and in the season's opening Ben-Fund Bonanza, when he finished runner-up. He joins us with an average of 6.89, and will add experience and enthusiasm to our side.
  11. It was announced Thursday that the Peterborough assets are frozen and administrated by the BSPA. No finance is issued to the current and or potential owners in 2014
  12. I can't help but be excited by this team. Simply full of rawness and experience. Should be some belting racing this season
  13. The crowd at the walks stadium is mahoosive and the old folk are getting a bit restless with the wait. It's really starting to kick off with tension. Walking sticks aee proper flying. OAP hooligans, these fuddies should get a grip. I'm scared
  14. Could it be Kenny Bjerre??? Never heard anyone refere to Eddie as Kenny? You're probably right but just saying!!
  15. I would encourage you to go next season. What might not be a league winning team will certainly be an entertaining one. In Korneliussen, Doyle and Hougaard you have guy's that will make racing happen. The top tear league is new for you guy's, don't beat it up before its even started
  16. Because he lives here maybe Edit: Anyway, I have to say I'm getting a little excited about tomorrow night. Now less than 24 hours for when the 2014 league champions 1-7 is fully revealed infront of a very hostile Stars crowd at the Walks stadium. Anyone who thought the Mandela gathering was on a large scale, well. There will be a large screen outside for the masses who can't get in as 100,000 people are expected to decent on the town of King's Lynn. If we don't get the team expected be prepared for someone to get hurt. This could get messy
  17. I'm not having that. Woffy can pass anyone anywhere at anytime. Harris is all about the big blast around the outside. There's nothing else in his locker. One thing is for sure, I'll be shouting for him during the 2014 GP series and I'm pleased to see he has PJR and Phil Morris in his corner. That already is a major improvement on his last few GP ventures.
  18. FFS!!!!!!!!! Leicester fans, give ya selves a bloody chance. Things may have been a bit sh!te for you in the PL but you're a relatively new club. Ok, you've not been happy with the racing and all but I can say from a King's Lynn perspective we won shed loads in the PL but the racing wasn't the best and since moving to the EL things have improved. How long you been going since your return? 3-4 years?? I have never heard a group of fans whine on and on and on like this lot. Your promoter is willing to put his money where his mouth is and pulled the club up to the next level. DH and his bird make mistakes but this is new. They don't understand the wage demands of the EL. Neither do you or I and I can't see other promoters helping by disclosing what they'd pay so they're left to sink or swim. That's the way of British Speedway. Come August and things are all t!ts up that's the time to whinge but right now whinging all you like isn't gonna help or solve anything at all. This is the time the club needs help & full support. Let's see some romance Lions xxxxxxxxxxx
  19. I was speaking as in the EL as a whole not King's Lynn
  20. The difference with that though is we have real genuine local lads taking up those spots and that feels much much more satisfying than any foreign crap we've been seeing for a few years now. I have to say though, I've only come round to the idea of the Brit reserves because we do have our own. If we'd of been lumped with anyone else I'd be a little pee'd with it.
  21. No idea what you mean as the question was would we have to BUY Iversen. The answer was no because the Panthers have no say and the rider's are free agents but yes a loan fee still has to be paid. I never said it didn't.
  22. Nope, Panthers don't have a team and wont be EL so all riders are free agents. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Mads Sadness At Being Dropped http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/kings-lynn-stars/king_s_lynn_stars_skipper_mads_korneliussen_devestated_by_shock_exit_1_3087929
  23. You don't have to be a fan but it's understanding what rider's bring to a team. As frustrating as Bjerre can be when we had with him & Iversen in our team 2 year ago it's been our best team since returning to the EL. To think that Iversen is even better now & add Schlein to that and it's an awesome start to team building. That will quite clearly be the best top 3 in the EL. So, like Bjerre or not it most certainly adds more fire power to the team than anything Mads had to offer. After all that though, we might rock up on Thursday and find we might have a real cheap & sh!te team.
  24. I'd be happy with that team anyway but I can't believe for 1 minute that Kozza will be happy being selected as an interim rider. He's far better than that.
