Potential to improve?!?! How long have these riders been kicking around on the averages they're on. Obviously it's only down on paper at the moment but Brum look abysmal

What would be a good year for Great Britain? For me, regardless of the results it will be the team manager & riders showing passion, aggression, anger, pride etc. Even if they finish last at King's Lynn I just want to know they care unlike previous years. That alone is improvement and Rosco is the right man to bring it Has my backing 100%

I've always said, once speedway hits £20 per adult admission I'll stop attending regardless of how much I love my club. It's difficult to justify the prices now, especially to newbies. The pricing of speedway at the moment is all about sustainability rather than looking for growth. British Speedway need to keep the pricing as it is for the next 5-7 years as income v expenditure is an ever decreasing margin. The BSPA at the moment are getting things just about right, protecting costs and pricing over none sustainable quality of riders. In my opinion, British Speedway will only start a growth pattern once the"big boys" aren't required and we get back to breeding our own. I'm a firm believe that everything goes round in circles and over the next 5-7 years, if the BSPA get it right speedway will return as a know rather than a forgotten support but patience is required. Our time will come, I believe

Or it could mean Darcy's crap at gating and crashing lots from over riding which was very paramount in 2013

Fact for Steve Shovlar not opinion Sweden - 2012 Ward 7.94 Iversen 9.22 Woffinden 6.00 Sweden - 2013 Ward 8.73 Iversen 8.71 Poland - 2012 Ward 7.36 Iversen 8.52 Woffinden 6.30 Poland - 2013 Ward 7.62 Iversen 9.46 Woffinden 9.33 UK - 2012 Ward 9.76 Iversen 8.84 Woffinden 8.80 UK - 2013 Ward 9.07 Iversen 9.12 Woffinden 9.20 Clearly shows from FACTS that Iversen is many steps ahead of Ward. Ward is still young and has all the potential to be better but right now he's not. In 2013 Woffinden shows as the biggest improver too. These are facts, enjoy them Steve

I'm hearing that speedway is going to be on the Fantasy channel. Guaranteed quality team riding

Favourite Closed Tracks
Daniel Smith replied to Drop Dead Fred's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
My most favourite closed tracks are King's Lynn's Norfolk Arena, Peterborough's Showground and Sheffield's Owlerton Stadium but it won't be long until March now when they're up and running as normal -
Leicester 2014 . Elite
Daniel Smith replied to jim the whipper's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Of course it is as you can only go by what you read and hear. This thread has been a ball of joy from start to finish hasn't it? What are people suppose to think? -
Leicester 2014 . Elite
Daniel Smith replied to jim the whipper's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Leicester fans are the most miserable people in the World. Even the Football lot want their manager sacked sitting at the top of the Championship. There certainly something it the water in those parts New era, new riders. Give it a chance FFS, Jesus Christ -
Why not use them??? Both pay good money and a Premier League football team has Wonga as a main sponsor so clearly they do pay big. I'm not keen on money lender's but these are the best possible sponsor's to get along with a bookies.

Regarding the question, my hope is simple. The racing is going to be better, the riders remain healthy and I'm sure as hell going to enjoy my speedway. Bring It On 2014
-
It's a mistake ever having Lakeside bottom of the league. That just isn't going to happen with trick track advantage. I'd go as far as a dialled in NL team would beat a mid table or lower EL side. But then, I'm a bit blinkered to that place. I absolutely detest it. I couldn't watch my speedway there week in week out. It isn't speedway.

Most people's gripe about speedway is the lack of actual racing, especially when trying to draw new faces or keeping those floating voters to attends. Whether the scores are 45-45 or 75-15 is irrelevant. The racing in both could still be either way, very good or very poor. The real problem speedway has its that the real top riders don't want wheel to wheel racing. It's all to risky for them. In the GP's they class a good race as being 3 bike lengths ahead. Polish speedway use to be entertaining but forget the name, the racing is still the same as over here, the young and up and coming want to impress with ability in racing, while the already established riders want it easy. 9x out of 10, the best racing is by those that are fighting at the back, the general none speedway fans opinion of the sport is right. First out the gate wins, and that's how the riders like it.

Poole's will be title favourites once they've binned off Smart after the 1st month of the season.

Peterborough Panthers 2014
Daniel Smith replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I certainly did not say that, read it again Edit: Here it is:- The facts are clear. While Peterborough are not running a team the BSPA hold all the assets. At this point Peterborough have no say what so ever where riders go and how much loan fee's are paid as they're not seeing a penny. _______________________________________________________________________ There's an important word in the above you may have missed Ok not seeing a penny may be wrong but the facts are the riders are negotiated with the BSPA & the BSPA set the loan fee. What and if the former or current promotion see of that no idea. From our supporters meeting the Buster's comments were clear. Signing Iversen & Bjerre had nothing to do with Peterborough and loan fees to be paid to the BSPA. -

I think you missed the point but never mind. It's called banter, a little bit of humour etc Merry Christmas to you too and all the other nasties. Fingers crossed you return to the EL soon. Genuine future reference question time? Can Horton run 2 clubs in the same league or is that against BSPA rules??? -
Peterborough Panthers 2014
Daniel Smith replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Now it's all good and you have a team to continue watching is it now safe for me to continue giving you dirty's some sh!!!!!!!te again. Especially now you're in the minions league No point in asking just get on with it What's it feel like being a Coventry feeder club?? Your club is a joke lacking ambition and not riding in the EL Lots of hate Screamer xxxxxxxx -
The WTF should be for yourself only quoting part of the quote. Stevec makes perfect sense. It is unimportant to British Speedway where Woffy rides as long as he does ride the UK.
-
Similar averages but ones much better than the other Explain yourself young lady????

Peterborough Panthers 2014
Daniel Smith replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Robert will not be riding PL due to clashes with his European commitments. -
That is excessively harsh on Kerr seeing as he's had 2-3 years NL and 1 full PL season. To say he shouldn't be a draft rider is ridiculous as he'd never of been given an EL ride in any teams 1-5 that's for sure.
-
I wish Nope, I've genuinely come round to the idea of these changes made and believe it will work.
-
I get your frustration regarding protected assets but it makes no sense what so ever for assets to not be used by parent clubs surely? Even more so in our case as Kerr & Rose have both ridden for our NL team. In no way shape or form would it have been fair (seeing as your argument is about fairness) for those 2 to have been forced to go elsewhere and for us to have been forced to have not used our own. The most blinkered must understand that, yes or no?????
-
With all the teams now taking shape what are people's thoughts on the structure, finishing positions, competitiveness etc. For me who wasn't originally convinced by the draft system the structure of the teams looks good. All pending on the race format though. One thing that stands out for me is the weakness of one particular team but I won't say who it is as it looks pretty obvious, to me anyway. I can't see Poole getting their own way this season, it's great to see not one obvious stand out team to win the league title. I am genuinely looking forward to 2014. It's going to be new for all of us and I can't wait for the tapes to rise once again. This WILL be a great year for British Speedway, I really really believe it
