People saying there isn't an issue with these days clashing are deluded. There will be a few rider's in the Havvy meeting that the BSPA want in their meeting with 3 of them likely to be Ward, Holder and Lindgren. The BSPA will be super desperate to have the first 2 in the ERC. The BSPA are playing bullyboy tactics. Their last statement has made it clear that Sky offered a number of dates and the BSPA jumped on Havvy's date. It doesn't make any sense why they'd do that? I'm in no way a Havvy fan at all but no way should he, Matt Ford and the rider's already booked be made to change. BSPA, you are a bunch of selfish crooks. As the song goes, "its all about the money, money, money."

It's his choice and he clearly feels most appreciated at King's Lynn

Five More Years Of El Speedway On Sky
Daniel Smith replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The Elite League should take what they get offered as a main sponsor and not go looking for immediate mega £££'s. Just make sure it's isn't Tampax and the likes. If a meeting get abandoned for a water logged track that would be embarrassing -
Tai Woffinden
Daniel Smith replied to David Haddock's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
There certainly is. Some got severe stiffy's when they'd seen him mention Aus as "home" while racing a sprint car. -
Nigel Pearson has just announced new 5 year deal for speedway on SkySports

Tai Woffinden

Ohhhhhhhhh, the haters are gonna love this Tai Woffinden is the new GB Team captain Congratulations fella -
I'm not sure the GoFundMe thing is a bad idea to get sponsorship be it a GP rider or a beginner. They all need money. The issue for me is setting a target figure. £10,000 is a pretty large sum of money and does smack of greed rather than need

Jeez TWK. First you wish some bird 'you fancy' looks like George Clooney, now you want to get your leg over with Phil Rising. When you actually gonna tell us the truth? This is actually like waiting for the Sky deal announcement

Which Rider Is On The Best Value Average
Daniel Smith replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I've attempted and completed numerous options of the new race format and the best one I can come up with is the GradeA reserve will have to ride with 2nd heatleader & the GradeB with the 3rd. The riding positions will have to fixed too. If the reserves ride against each other twice and the 2nd strings twice the format becomes compact with a reserve finishing his 4 rides by heat 10 and a 2nd string is finished by heat 11. That doesn't sit well with me. 1, Highest Average 2, 4th Average 3, 3rd Average 4, 5th Average 5, 2nd Average 6, GradeA 7, GradeB It's the only way IMO -
Which Rider Is On The Best Value Average
Daniel Smith replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Which rider is on the best value average is irrelevant to me. This is a team game and it's about which club has put together the better mix and we won't know that until playoff time. We have the unknown in Robert Lambert. He may go on to average 12.00 but that would be totally pointless if Iversen goes on to average 3. Hypothetical I know. For me, the best value riders will already be the heatleaders. If they can't sustain their averages you just not going to win matches, it's as simple as that -
Speedway Star Toothless Pussycat
Daniel Smith replied to robolots's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I'll keep it short:- The last thing Speedway needs is published negativity -
That's an "interesting" last signing. I really don't know what to think of this Belle Vue team at all. I'm struggling to see any of the riders with any notable improvement potential. There is for me a heavy reliance on Nicholls stepping up and getting back to his best

Richings would be a good move & it will need to be done quick before Ford bins off Smart
-
Yep, read it on the Coventry website and there's nothing on there that says it's the 'Elite League Riders Championship'. It says 'Elite Riders Championship' with a "changed format" which would suggest an invitational meeting. If it isn't an invitational meeting, explain why 'League' has been dropped from the title??
-
And your defence is for exactly the same reason.
-
Poole have 2 very good reserves too but nobody knows who one of them is yet Matt 'The Magician' Fraud will have this sorted by May
-
But it's not the 'Elite League Riders Championship' for 2014. It's called the 'Elite Riders Championship'. That means an invitational competition to all riders across the Globe. I'm OK with that. It sounds as though it could be something similar to the Monster invitational in the USA. Let's be honest, the ELRC has been nothing but a BSPA joke competition for many years with numerous withdrawals. A new idea had to be had and this is a decent start. Hope the initial invites to to the GP bops first, then filter it down to the top average EL riders when GP riders refuse the invite.

Peterborough Panthers 2014
Daniel Smith replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
NeilWatson, I see there's a date left open on the 25th March. Any chance a friendly fixture with us could be put together for this one? Need the Derby fix -
Question. The Bees first meeting is away at Swindon 3rd April. That will be a fixture change surely with the Auckland SGP 2 day later. No Harris for the 1st meeting would be ridiculous wouldn't it?

I've put the odd bean in in the past and likewise no thanks but that doesn't bother me at all. I did it to help them out, not to get anything back. What I do have a problem with is rider's begging for money then advertising the fact that they've p!ssed a few £ up the wall on a night out (Twitter) Advice for anyone wanting to put in to a riders kitty who isn't a company sponsor, buy them stuff. Things like tear-offs, fuel, oil etc. You know it's going to good use rather than a night out
