  1. It was confirmed, they said that the only thing they were waiting on to dot the I's and cross the t's was which of the 2-3 race formats they'd go with. All the regulations are in place.
  2. Was confirmed at the King's Lynn supporters meeting a couple of months ago.
  3. Yep. These were the rules some years back but was scrapped for the reason you mention. But (and rightly so imo) they see it as a lesser evil than having reserves taking heat leader rides which spoils the spectators experience. At least meetings should remain competitive throughout and that is what we all want at the end of the day isn't it?
  4. Kind of. Before or during the meeting if a rider is missing it's the next above and all below in the averages that can take a ride. If top or 2nd in averages, the remaining riders can replace these rides If 3rd in averages, 2nd and below can take a ride If 4th in averages, 3rd and below can take a ride and so on The only notible change from last season is R/R comes into force for a rider withdrawn from a meeting already started, removing the need for a No'8 rider
  5. Also looks under the tier 5 visa he can exit and enter the UK as many times as he wishes provided his "UK based sponsors" issue a "multiple entry certificate of sponsorship".
  6. I'm starting to wonder if we're not making any announcements on this meeting because it's going to be a 'behind closed doors' event. If not, this is a meeting our promotion should be jumping up and down about. People prefer team over individual meetings and there is genuine class in this one and there will be people that will come from miles around I'm sure.
  7. Correct, not since the Stars last visited. It could look like Wembley but it will always be a poop hole to me just like the Showground
  8. Just so you know, there is no age restriction that I know of. Lewis Blackbird will be 27 come the start of the season
  9. Premier League Peterborough Ryan Fisher Ales Dryml Lasse Bjerre Ulrich Ostergaard Lewis Blackbird Joe Jacobs Oliver Greenwood = £15.00 Elite League King's Lynn Niels Kristian Iversen Kenneth Bjerre Rory Schlein Nicklas Porsing Robert Lambert Lewis Kerr Lewis Rose = £16.00 I don't believe you'll be seeing better value for money than we will at the Norfolk Arena do you? Up against each other you wouldn't get close home or away and we get that for just an extra £1. That's value
  10. Absolutely, you'll never catch me in that poop hole unless the Stars team are the visitors
  11. Some of the comments on this thread do tickle me. Speedway is in dire straights because we don't know the race format. Really? Fans won't turn up because we don't know the race format. Really? How do we explain the program to a newbie. Really? It'll be right in front of your eyes for goodness sake. No different to to the old programme. Rider's 1-7's, gate positions, heats etc will all be self explanatory to the experienced spectator. Some need to get a grip, in principle I've come round to the new format idea and for a change the BSPA are taking their time to make it fit rather than rushing it through.
  12. This is a strange one for me. Isn't Lambert old enough to race everywhere else except the UK? This fixture will be set up under Polish regulations I should imagine and not part of the BSPA. If that is the case he should be eligible for this and I agree, he would be stronger against what's available for that Polish team I can't remember how to spell. (Zielona Gora (copy paste from above ))
  13. Can I ask which track that was? I'm sure we (King's Lynn) allow free entry to registered carer's
  14. Most tracks normally price disability entrances as concessions but if a helper is required they are usually free entrants I believe
  15. I'm with you on this one. It's a "no frills" line up just solid. Passing will be at a premium this year.
  16. My understanding was that the council were paying for the construction and Belle Vue were to pay a fee of around £1.5m back to the Council over 50 years + yearly rent or something?? The builders will be receiving their money straight after completion so that won't be the hold up
  17. I thread isn't about hate. It's about rider's you just couldn't connect with. It's a very different meaning
  18. If the SGP's are only netting BSI £1.5m a year profit that is poor. Their business director should be fired but to the general public that seems to be a reasonable amount
  19. Interesting thread and I have quite a long list. These are what I can think of now Ryan Sullivan Ryan Fisher Gary Havelock Tomasz Gollob Darcy Ward Chris Harris Mario Jirout Kris Kasprzak David Norris Scott Nicholls Magnus Zetterstrom Ben Barker Andre Compton Martin Dugard Joe Haines Jerran Hart Eddie Kennett Nigel Sadler
  20. Just from statistics of my mates the Cardiff GP does nothing for British Speedway. I have 4 mates that I use to go to speedway with when at school, they now only do Cardiff. They see it as a one off spectacle just like MotoGP and F1. I now go to Cardiff with my Mrs, Mum, Dad, Sister, Brother In Law and 4 Nephews. Only 1 of my nephews, my Dad and me attend King's Lynn week in week out. So personally, the stats don't add up that the Cardiff GP supports British Speedway.
  21. You're missing the whole point completely. This has nothing to do with Havvy, Matt Ford or Poole speedway. The hatred blinkers need to be removed and see what's going on here. Brief overview:- Havvy's meeting has been in the planning since 2012. Havvy decided early 2013 it will be at Poole September 2013 the date was set for 21st March 2014 Riders and supporter's have flight's / hotels / holidays booked for this date BSPA set ERC for Sunday 23rd March At this point nobody has any issue Wednesday 29th January the BSPA announce a 5 year deal with Sky and the whole World jump for joy Just a couple of hours later Havvy Tweet's his disappointing news that the BSPA requests his meeting cancelled because they're running the ERC on the same day A day later BSPA confirm it and on Friday send out another press release saying they will be working with Havvy & Poole to find an alternative date. Not even allowing the option of running on the same day. The organisation of Havvy's meeting has gone to far to make the changes. If this meeting gets pushed later into the season The rider HE want won't be available and a PL / NL line up is all that's likely and that isn't fair Yet, you still say there is no issue??? People just need to curb their clear hatred and think if this was one of their favourite club legends being miss treated. This is clear BSPA bullyboy mafia style tactics and people really shouldn't stand for it
  22. So, the money is shared between the clubs? Ok, so let's take this meeting between 10 EL clubs. Let me just find my calculator......................................... 4000 attend @ £25 = £100,000 The bare min must be £200 a point per rider?? 22 heats?? = £26,400 £100,000 - €26,400 = £73,600 ÷ 10 = £7,360 each In real terms, it's much less than that with stadium rent, emergency services cover etc etc That can will be lining back pockets for new cars, nice holidays etc. That won't be seen put back into speedway at all
