  1. I don't think anyone is suggesting that the referee has a say are they? As with all crashed, if a rider deems themselves fit except for concussion they always continue. It always has and always should be the case. Adam deemed himself fit to continue and the track doc should not interfere only advise.
  2. When you say historically what do you mean? Even today track doc's normally only advise except for concussion on a withdrawal. What happened with Ellis isn't the norm hence why Lakeside are making the compliant I should imagine
  3. I know nothing of the crash & withdrawal of Ellis from this match but all I will say is it seems very harsh on the rider. 9/10 times a paramedic / track doctor always leaves physical injuries down to a riders own opinion as to whether they are fit enough or not to continue. The only time you really see a paramedic / track doctor make an official decision is with regards to concussion. This clearly wasn't the case. Normally when a rider (none concussion) withdraws is 'on the advise of the paramedic' never a forced withdrawal I fully back the Lakeside stance with this one Not for one minute do I think this went on but it's happened before where a home club official has had a word in the paramedics ear and advised them they think an opposition rider is unfit. Bare in mind Leicester were desperate to get a home win and the opportunity arised to remove the strongest reserve (potential match winner) from the meeting. Just a thought
  4. Himself. He'd be an absolute Worldy if the track was right, his bike didn't play up etc etc. Full of every excuse, never his fault
  5. I am very grounded, we won't win the league. Just stating that Bomber had a poor night for his 8 points. His 3 league titles would be down to the other 6 riders in the team also. He is one of the most overrated British riders of all time. His SGP performances prove that
  6. Should be a good meeting to view again on Bet365. On paper is a tough one to call but what could swing this is how our youngsters got battered in the NL in recent seasons round Monmore. Tai Woffinden - Niels Iversen Jacob Thorssell - Nicklas Porsing Ty Proctor - Kenneth Bjerre Ricky Wells - Robert Lambert Piotr Pawlicki - Rory Schlein Joe Jacobs - Lewis Kerr Ashley Morris - Lewis Rose 52-40 Wolverhampton
  7. Yep, when it didn't mean anything. Can't handle pressure
  8. That's well harsh. Stoke needs new investors, nobody wants to see any club lost
  9. Harris only beat Schlein in heat 15 when the win was in the bag in their match ups. He beat a very off form Bjerre and a 16 year old twice. World Class joke is Bomber. Premier League for him next year, he might even make the draft list for 2015
  10. Regardless of other projects within the stadium the report states the full £5.25m has to be paid back within 24yrs. That is a staggering £18,229 per month, £4,207 per week. Wow Trying to be a realist here and to just say "don't worry about the numbers" is outrageous. People are calling us jealous but I think what you'll find is there's more concern and realistic fear about losing another team over a dream stadium. We have to know how the Belle Vue management will make this sustainable. The Belle Vue business model still isn't clear from the management as they're still in discussions as stated here "The National Speedway Stadium build costs have increased by £0.75m to £5.25m and will be funded from prudential borrowing and the Council’s investment will be repaid by Belle Vue Aces in line with the rental lease agreement. The Council are working with Belle Vue Aces on the development of their business plan to mitigate any risk of default on full recovery of loan". Sorry but this seems obsurd and nowhere near even getting off the ground as yet
  11. There's some getting carried away about our team. Porsing, Lambert, Kerr & Rose. This is a team for progress, not immediate impact. Win, lose or draw is no big deal. I'll go with a home win just getting the 3 points but hoping for the other way round.
  12. Wow, I believe this is a call for the FIM to get involved in. This guys fight to the point of almost unconscious
  13. It was mentioned last night it would be shown. Normally don't show on the website until race day
  14. With all that's gone on at Cov I'm not comfortable it making that travel risk.
  15. Will be watching this on Bet365 - BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!! Get in!!!!!!! No risk of a dodgy track prep and travel expense.
  16. Holy sh!yte you're right. I based my numbers on the original statement of leasing over 60yrs. When did 24yrs first appear? That's outrageous number's Fact, Belle Vue will go seriously bust in super quick time if they run with this venture
  17. Struggling to see much positives in that. Belle Vue have to find an extra £1.3m on top of there existing £4.5m to be claimed back in rent over 60 seasons. £97,000 per year in rent alone. 5,000 paying customer to cover the rent per year. By the time this gets started these costs will keep increasing as land and building costs are on the rise once again. This needs to be rubber stamped very quickly, at the latest by the end of this season or this will just be a complete waste of time and money for all involved.
  18. Still believe? The way this is going it will cost Aces fans £40 a meeting
  19. Can't wait, time is getting closer and I'm actually feeling a little on edge. Nervous maybe. Will be keeping a close eye on heat 6 as it may bring an overspill of last season's unrest between Lambert & Bridger. Hopefully all is forgotten but I doubt it. Bech could be the only rider to trouble Iversen and Bjerre. Battles between Kerr - Rose - Ellis - Morley could be immense. Lawson - Porsing - Lambert could be interesting. Watt and Schlien like a tussle being very similar riders Will take any winning margin in this one. Stars by 4
  20. Haven't we already established that Lambert is riding on a German licence? Hence why he won't do under 21's, Great Britain, British Final's etc or have I misunderstood?
  21. Sky have got speedway so wrong. Don't they realise most fans are over 60? How dare they use graphics. To get the fans flocking back in they should review the 1963 season with some highlights of Fundin, Briggs and Craven etc Missing a trick
  22. Questions for iris123 How is it possible to judge if a 14yr old is strong enough to face top class speedway?
  23. How about this a thought SCB Darcy was in an initial declared lineup and rode a challenge match for Poole. Holder was then declared for the Elite Shield but that was cancelled. As no wheel was turn with the new declared team the original declared team with Darcy in still stands until the team with Holder in races so effectively a guest for Darcy would now be allowed. Just thinking back to when Poole made a change last year or the year before, said rider got injured racing abroad before turning out for Poole so Poole had to use the original declared lineup. Ya get me?
  24. Definitely agree with a comment made earlier that Morris, Rossiter & Lyon need to get with Lambert and his party & go over it. The BSPA (& to a point, rightly so) won't give a flying fook to Lambert's opinion. The league structures and costs are the top priorities of the BSPA. Those leading the line for GB have a responsibility to bringing youngsters in line & being available at all times to sort these issues. Also, giving Lambert Woffinden's phone No' & vice versa could be a huge factor.
