  1. Out of the 2 One Sport events I think they should push the FIM to sanction the Pairs as an official World Championship event. It's my most favourite part of Speedway ever watching rider's team ride. It's beautiful poetry and the reason to love Speedway. As a note, with how sh!yte Nicki Pedersen was I'd have been a bit p!$$ed if I was Hans Andersen not to get a ride
  2. My favourite comments tonight was from comedian Jack, along the lines of "there he goes into a left hander..... What am I talking about, they're all left handers." Sam and Jack then proceed to wet themselves laughing, brilliant
  3. Terrific meeting. Absolutely glued to it and with the commentary turned up. Getting use to Jack Burnicle and Sam Ermolenko, once you get passed all the bungling is actually quite entertaining in itself.
  4. He's Tweeted that he's been dropped from his Polish club for tomorrow as well. Well, I think that's what he's saying. Things not great for him at the moment "@BomberHarris37: Well had a very good practice to day in Poland today feel so much more like my old self everytime on bike but club not but in me meeting "
  5. Has something gone wrong in the Lambert camp? At the team announcement supporters meeting back last year Lambert specifically said he'd have no time to ride Premier League due to riding commitments in the British EL + German and Danish leagues
  6. I couldn't care less where Fisher wants his family to live, or where rider's want to ride. I couldn't care less if a rider, promotion, club are making £100,000 profit or £100,000 losses. This is a sport I love and as long as a contribution is being made to my enjoyment of the sport I'm willing to chuck a few quid in here and there.
  7. You have to use 3 separators for multiples. x1.666 is the same as ÷0.6
  8. I really really really am not seeing the issue with Poole. Yes, Poole have played plenty of shenanigans in the past but on this occasion there is absolutely nothing what so ever to look at. The rules are bloody simple Smart is declared rider Smart was sacked and replaced Replacement got injured so prior declaration continues so Smart was asked & rode on the 30th and still managed to pick up another £120 cheque for doing fook all. Smart is still sacked by the way but remains in the declared team as that's all the Fast Track rule allows Rules only state that a missing Fast Track rider can only be replaced by a Fast Track rider with the same or below grading. It's not a facility as such as the Fast Track riders are seen as just filling gaps as you can't have missing reserves. This is what Poole are doing. WTF is people's issue as on this occasion the Poole noses are clean, 100%. What is it people want Poole to do as they've done what they need to do, the rest is down to the BSPA. None of it is Poole's problem
  9. I may be alone but I'm obviously going to compare to the British Elite League and to be quite frank it was very similar. Races out front and at the back, follow the leader in a few and a high gulf in class in some heats. The weather may have played it's part but having better riders certainly didn't make it any more entertaining. Let's see what the next few weeks bring
  10. In red uhhhhhhhhhhh on uhhhhhhh gate uhhhhhh Tapes go uhhhhhhhhhhhh up and uhhhhhhhhhhh on the inside uhhhhhhhhhhhhh, oh crash uhhh ouch
  11. People are getting funny over this for no reason what so ever. Pole have sacked Smart, so what!!!!!! Smart is averaging under 2, if that was my club I'd expect the rider to be binned off. Any draft rider averaging less than 3.5 isn't developing. Smart is probably a little p!ssed because he can no longer pick up a £120 check for doing fook all in meetings. Just putting it bluntly
  12. Micheal Jepsen Jensen, the once great hope to now be the equivalent of Nicolai Klindt
  13. Surely doing a 2nd job in the same sector in speedway terms is guesting????
  14. Are those choices based on entertainment as the other 2 would be better choices for race wins?
  15. depression doesn't make people dangerous for goodness sake. Some seem to think his issues are Speedway related, that's how closed minded some can be.
  16. Never heard of any of them. The biggest legend to come out of Peterborough was Ricky Wallace. Allowing him to race for King's Lynn was a real pleasure. The Panthers even allowed us to take him as an asset at no charge
  17. Wow, now I am surprised by that comment. See, this is depression we're talking about and there are no rules to it. No depression is one and the same. Speedway may be his only sense of enjoyment and while being at the back he's searching for things to entertain himself. People need to be careful and not stereotype this illness. Even the most depressed has or finds something that picks them up. Absolutely anything Speedway Drinking Football Cheating on a partner Drugs Eating Lying Etc etc Everyone who has suffered will know their 'pick me up' but the issues arise as these don't last 24/7 and the viscous circle just gets bigger, harder and faster until it cracks and as we've seen these cracks can mean death. Just because you see a smile......................
  18. Certainly at home would be as good a choice as any and I'm sure he'd jump at the chance
  19. A very difficult subject this one. There are posters that are very good a drawing people in without being abusive but knowing full well that the replies will be. To me, these posters need an element of control too. But, to be fair I would say most of the language is used as banner between posters (Which I think it's what SCB was referring to when he mentioned Stevebrum) and I'm absolutely fine with that. I would say on the whole that this forum is one of the friendliest around, especially as a sport forum and most mods do a very good job at monitoring. Certainly don't need poster being banned for minor infringements
  20. I think people are confused by what's sport and what's not. Speedway today is definitely sport and a far more professional sport than it's ever been. With all the riders far more dedicated than ever before. There's so much placed on winning races, winning meetings, winning trophies. Years gone by it was definitely entertainment. I think there was certainly more riders from years gone by that wanted to be wheel to wheel with the opposition. Today it's about being out the gate first and not wanting anyone near them. It's all about opinion though, certainly no hard and fast rule to defining sport and entertainment.
  21. a big clue to the R/R rule was Leicester's use of 2 guests last night in Ryan Fisher & Sam Masters & no R/R
  22. Broken collarbone for Kenneth. He's been brilliant for us this season but you are correct, we should get decent cover Edit: we can have all but Chris Holder as guest
  23. I LIKE THIS ^^^^^^^^^ IN FACT I LIKE THIS A LOT ^^^^^^^^^^^ We only outscored Lakeside by 2 at home and that was with Ellis scoring all 11 for them.
