  1. There will be a lot of teams looking at him for next season. The favourites for that will no doubt be Poole
  2. If I was Chris I would't listen to you either
  3. What do you need SCB for he'd only say it's a pathetic statement and he'd be 100% correct. They do it for their own pleasure and enjoyment and earn a good living doing what they love. The only bit they do for us supporters is maybe one of their show off wheelies. Then again, that may be an ego massage exercise. Apart from the odd autograph and chat during meetings there's not a lot else for the fans
  4. Absolutely, the speed Watt was carrying down the back straight Smolinski never knew he was even there. Watt was going at some speed into turn three compared to the others.
  5. I fully understood what you meant and my post wasn't meant to suggest that so apologise but I was just adding to why I think he was getting bashed. IMO it's down to the quality of the racing. When is good you don't really hear the commentators. Have you ever viewed a 'Nigel Pearson - Kelvin Tatum' thread? To be honest, it doesn't matter who does the comms they're gonna get battered by the anoraks. You did the Premier Sports comms?!?! on the Swedish Elitserien last season (I think) and some wasn't to pleasant towards that comms either. Some just can't get by in life unless there's something to complain about.
  6. Crap at his job is harsh, he's very good when it comes to motorcycle racing and very new to modern speedway. It takes an age to understand our sport. I got use to Jack and I'm disappointed he's gone, not just laugh at him. IMO the biggest issue as to why Jack Burnacle has been getting ripped to shreds is the fact that the speedway itself has been absolutely garbage. After being told that the Swedish Elitserien knocks spots off the British Elite League, well I'm still waiting to see it because so far it's about the same.
  7. No don't. I'd love to see chanting back at speedway but it needs to be modern. Listen to the Polish Speedway & football etc. Please not this 1-2-3-4 crap
  8. I can not believe Sky havn't taken this meeting on! Set for a cracker this, yet life of Tai takes precedent. They could have that on anytime as the biggest viewers of that programme I have no doubt would be Wolves fans who ain't at home Should be Bet365 though I'm guessing
  9. Woffinden Harris King Cook Take the GB under-21's also Howarth Ellis Garrity Lambert Then at least they'll get to rip round on practice days (providing we get past King's Lynn). We need to start looking forward much earlier rather than keep going back to rider's that year on year go no further forward only backwards
  10. SCB's youtube clip from the dangerous rider's thread Can't see how any blame can be laid at Smolinski's door to be honest
  11. Certainly looks like Watt ran himself out of room carrying to much speed into the bend. Smolinski not at fault at all
  12. You're right, it is far fetched but I'm just stating we can not have referees throwing riders out for dangerous riding. It's a tough call to say whether there is intent or not. That call can only be judged by a panel imo
  13. That was for a tapes offence. The question is can reserves come in as a straight swop for a rider in the 1-5?
  14. The card system is a great idea but- To do this every track has to have TV replays available at all tracks. We can't rely on referees making correct calls. At the meeting's referees can only issue yellow cards. If a rider receives 2 or more yellow cards then the video evidence is sent to an independent panel to review (a little like F1). If the panel deem the rider dangerous they're issued a red card and suspended for 3 matches. Clubs that have a suspended rider can only use a guest with a 20% lower average. 3 red cards in a season under 1 organisation i.e. SGP, SEC, British, Swedish, Polish league etc would result in a 6 month Worldwide suspension. Meeting referees can only issue red cards for violent conduct. I repeat though, this can only be achieved with full meeting recordings, not just some dude with a camcorder and an independent panel
  15. Absolutely strange choice of guest but not sure what other options we had available to be fair
  16. We had no other option in his last ride but Blackbird should of replaced him in heat 8. Saying that, a point was the best we were gonna get. Disappointing we didn't get to grips with the track quicker with the dirt line moving out yet heat after heat we hugged the curb. Can't win them all of course and in the end a point was a great result.
  17. Feeling rather more optimistic but it's purely down to the fact Davey & Lewis are missing for Lakeside. Nicholls should do enough in place of Bjerre and Blackbird for Kerr is a great option. Jan Gravesen in place of Porsing isn't great but he didn't score well on his last visit anyway so 44-46 to the mighty Stars Best wishes to Davey Watt, not seen any news as yet but hope it's not as serious as initial reports. Get well soon fella
  18. Clearly your view wasn't that good then as Iversen DID 100% bang Cook out the way on turn 3. I stand on the back straight so the absolute perfect view thanks
  19. Wow, people criticising Cook for a move (assuming it was the one where he chopped Bjerre's nose off over the start finish line?) but it looked ok to me. Nobody should just move out the way and he had the racing line. Great defending rather than dirty IMO. Yet Funnily everyone is pleased with Iversen's move on Cook in heat 15 where Iversen forced his way past with elbows then flicked his rear wheel into the side of Cook and shoved him out the way (more Pedersen like than anything Cook done) (+ I'm ok with that by the way). It was almost identical to the move Pedersen pulled on Zagar in the GP at the weekend. Very very very hard, again though no complaints from the riders. I want to see riders putting it on the line, it's what I want to see them doing for my club. Live on the edge and not take the easy options. This is speedway, it's dangerous, it's what brings the punters in. You can always make the perfect pass (like Porsing) so you have to force it to get results. The nature of the game. More of that please boys. Shocking meeting before the last 3-4 heats though, was bored stiff up to that point
  20. Shocking meeting to watch. Not just the worst of the season so far but probably the worst since the Premier League days
  21. Anyone travelling from the Hunstanton / Norwich direction the entrance slip road to the stadium will remain closed. Continue down the dual carriageway all the way round the roundabout back up the dual carriageway up the entrance slip road. Normal service when leaving the stadium except those leaving in the direction of Sutton Bridge / Wisbech. They will be required to travel via the Hardwick roundabout then back up the dual carriageway. Please leave yourself an extra 30mins when travelling to the meeting tomorrow unless you know the way in via the back roads / Southgates - Town Centre
  22. We're constantly reminded how much better the Swedish Elitserien is compared to the British Elite League. The TV meetings have suggested otherwise so far this season.
  23. People moan about the meetings on SkySports but bloody hell, this is dross so far. Will stick with it though just to annoy the wife
