  1. It was so your point is irrelevant. We'll never know but had the rider not fallen the referee may have continued the heat.
  2. Anyone willing to share what Simon Lambert's "telling it like it is" was or are we going through the "I know something you don't know?"
  3. Yes, all down to whether the referee deemed someone had gained an advantage. Even if a rider rolls or anticipates the start but comes out 4th, they will still be deemed as "gaining an advantage" if another rider falls. It's all referees discretion
  4. For an unsatisfactory start Sedgmen wouldn't be excluded for falling. If Sedgmen had to return to the pits because of the fall, the remaining 3 riders can also return to the pits.
  5. Didn't think you could leave the track for an unsatisfactory start? I assume that's what iainb's asking which should have resulted in Tarasenko being excluded.
  6. Point being missed here with comparison. Around 60mins of actual playing time but even with throw in's, goal kicks, free kicks, substitutions there's still something for the fans to see. Even when the ball is 'out of play' the tactical game continues. You still get to see 90-100mins of something, all the players. With Speedway, after every heat, to the fans the meeting is totally dead.
  7. This is also were problems can start. A little chat trackside things get miss heard & misinterpreted & once information gets '4th hand' it can get dangerous. A '1st hand' account, direct from those involved is all we need. British Speedway isn't in a strong position for 'Radio Silence', it's making the situation worse, especially for fans of struggling clubs.
  8. Hang on a second, if you're willingly accepting conversation with regards the goings on trackside (which is a good thing by the way), why not just say now on the forum? Of course, you'll probably get some s#!t for it but why not be open & honest with all, rather than one? This is all every fans wants in the first place.
  9. The best thing promoters could do is set up a gazebo in town & city centres every weekend during the season & conduct a survey. Have just 2 surveys available: Have you ever heard of Motorcycle Speedway? Do you no longer attend Motorcycle Speedway? The sport does not need to hear from those attending weekly, but those who don't. Giving away freebies could work for a very short time but because the products broken it's unsustainable. The promoters desperately need to get it through their heads why people just ain't interested. It'll be the only way they'll listen. Promoters need to actually do some work for a change.
  10. King's Lynn tried this one year in the 2nd tier & half of the tickets found there way in to the hands of those already attending or at least attended Speedway before & happy to attend for the freebie. The majority of the rest didn't ever get used. The idea is ok in principle but as with what happened with King's Lynn, that would be what Horton meant by losing money. It's not from potential new supporters, it's from the existing taking the freebie.
  11. Coming in 2024: 5 man teams, 10 heats, £30 admission, meetings can be called a result after Heat 3.
  12. And he out scored the guy they want to replace him with
  13. King's Lynn can't maintain their position at the top table with their current support either. There's going to be a huge shift in British Speedway during the winter if Peterborough & Wolverhampton disappear anyway so none of us can call it right now, even the owners.
  14. Just to be clear, it was Jonathan Chapman & Rob Lyon with the help of Roger Warnes Transport that made that move. Same as now, Buster was merely just a (not so) silent owner/promoter. Buster wanted to remain 2nd tier.
  15. Buster is absolutely adamant he's not running King's Lynn next season, so unless a new promoter can be sourced King's Lynn won't be running in 2024. May be the rumours of Peterborough running at Saddlebow could be true if King's Lynn themselves are not coming to tapes. There's no chance of 2 Premiership &/or Championship clubs at one track working.
  16. You been speaking to my Mrs? She promised to keep that between us
  17. You need to show a little respect PAL & stop assuming. He/She might be with a heshe, none-binary thingamabob whatchamacallit it them person
  18. Regularly, but people only choose to remember negativity because the truth hurts everyone with how bad British Speedway currently is. Nobody is enjoying this current state, many are just attending Speedway through habit rather than it's pure entertainment.
  19. Of course total is way way way over £150,000 per annum. That's the bare minimum a club needs in 2023 via MAIN SPONSORS alone is what I meant, especially if we're having to compete against the likes of 'Tru Plant'. No finger pointing at you Alex, you did what you could, having MacInnes this year too. King's Lynn not being helped with dwindling crowds but the reputation over the last 10 years hasn't been good & rightly so Speedway fans have disappeared from the terraces.
  20. That's a lot of money of to you & me of course, but to put those numbers in to perspective, in 2015 Roger Warnes Transport alone put in around £70,000. This showing with the hugely increased costs of 2023 6 figures over 2 seasons is by far NOT enough. If your budget is below £150,000 per annum, you're going to struggle badly. Edit; Just to clarify, this is just income EXCLUDING General admission
  21. If Buster's clever enough, he'd get him signed off injured now & but sign him up for King's Lynn in 2024
  22. Wolverhampton would be the perfect sized track for this
