  1. I think the FIM are playing a game here. They may have Ward's legal team stating issues with the test. So what do they do? Suspend him until they investigate the legal claim which will run to the end of the season then clear him for the start of 2015. A classic game of chess
  2. A good news story that is very welcome. Fingers crossed
  3. I think you find technically it is. If Darcy had rode, a serious incident had occurred and he'd been found over the limit of the sports drug and alcohol regulations it then becomes a criminal offence that goes beyond the FIM. This alone is the reason the FIM should show zero tolerance.
  4. I'm sorry but surely the NL isn't taken seriously? It's a training programme. If Cradley, Mildenhall etc want serious stuff move up the leagues. The NL isn't here to win titles, it's here to develop youth end of. The rider's in this league have to put education / work as main priority.
  5. And anyone should be surprised by that? Speedway will be low on the viewers priorities too. Quite a lot of selfish and unjust moaning to be honest. Speedway's TV small fry. I'd love to know Swedish Elitserien viewing figures on British Eurosport, should imagine they haven't shown up with great numbers?
  6. Won't be King's Lynn as we'll not agree to the pointless meeting. It isn't mandatory, it's just Matt Ford thinking he's a big wig in world speedway
  7. Sorry, but I find it absolutely hilarious that Poole's parade has been well and truly shat on Matt Ford really bigged this up and now they look like a bunch of clowns I think it's absolutely terrific for British Speedway as it allows us all to point the finger and have a right good giggle at their expense.
  8. See Nicki Pedersen has retweeted that it's an outrage that Darcy Ward rode tonight. That's one GP rider making his feelings known.
  9. But he wouldn't be riding the next day so the issue is what?
  10. That will remain true until his FIM meeting tomorrow.
  11. Absolutely, right now Darcy doesn't have a resalable value.
  12. Midlo should be suspended by the BSPA for advocating Darcy's behaviour. It's not the 1st time and would also class that man a danger to British Speedway. He's a big drinker himself and clearly sees no problem as long as there's an excuse. BSPA, sort your members out
  13. Matt Ford did say that but with the push to the Play-Offs he will not see that threat through. Correct
  14. Sounds like that will be the line of his defence. The FIM will not listen to that as an excuse. Their response will be he shouldn't put himself in a position where alcohol is available prior to a competition. They will dish zero tolerance.
  15. Fingers crossed the alcohol & drug testers follow Darcy around for the rest of the year in the UK. We know he likes a drink with Midlo. Must be the right thing to do know it's known he's willing to put his fellow competitors at risk and race. Now down to the BSPA
  16. 1 thing I miss greatly from our Premier League days is the pride and effort shown by the riders whereas now it a case of race, win, trundle back to pits, fook the fans
  17. I am obviously 1 of very few but I thought that was an enjoyable meeting but all thoughts right now go to Matthew Wethers. Left me breathless. I actually couldn't believe it andmI'm sure others had fears of the outcome. And also a speedy recovery to young Aaron Fox too.
  18. Got to say, not a fan of Darcy but his team riding skills are above any other rider out there in this modern era. Keeping an old art alive.
  19. I think the comments are more based on the fact of Harris getting the Cardiff wildcard last year, then because he qualified for the GP's this year it went back to the British Final again. He does, for some strange reason seem to be a favourite with the BSI.
  20. Riders don't carry enough speed in a straight line to worry about Aerodynamic Drag but yes, they are camera's. GoPro cameras and they're mainly used for personal reasons. Woffy has used his a couple of times on Yevvo which allows people to watch him practice live (if that interests some people). During the World Cup though, I do believe it was only Monster sponsored riders using them for promotional reasons
  21. Rob Lyon was the best man for the job too. He also had a 5 year plan. The BSPA wasn't interested so he quit as their way didn't interest him. I can only see the same happening with Rosco under the current BSPA management dinosaur's.
  22. Steady will have his special AshTech underneath him so I'm not too worried about him. Good gater & I believe a very good rider. Woffy will will be Woffy. I'm more concerned about the standards of King & Harris. Harris especially who on big tracks in the GP's has looked like a snail. Let's hope that riding for our Nation gives them something extra. A medal is up for grabs and we're good enough to take it but everyone has to be on it. No passengers.
