  1. I certainly did not say that, read it again Edit: Here it is:- The facts are clear. While Peterborough are not running a team the BSPA hold all the assets. At this point Peterborough have no say what so ever where riders go and how much loan fee's are paid as they're not seeing a penny. _______________________________________________________________________ There's an important word in the above you may have missed Ok not seeing a penny may be wrong but the facts are the riders are negotiated with the BSPA & the BSPA set the loan fee. What and if the former or current promotion see of that no idea. From our supporters meeting the Buster's comments were clear. Signing Iversen & Bjerre had nothing to do with Peterborough and loan fees to be paid to the BSPA.
  2. I think you missed the point but never mind. It's called banter, a little bit of humour etc Merry Christmas to you too and all the other nasties. Fingers crossed you return to the EL soon. Genuine future reference question time? Can Horton run 2 clubs in the same league or is that against BSPA rules???
  3. Now it's all good and you have a team to continue watching is it now safe for me to continue giving you dirty's some sh!!!!!!!te again. Especially now you're in the minions league No point in asking just get on with it What's it feel like being a Coventry feeder club?? Your club is a joke lacking ambition and not riding in the EL Lots of hate Screamer xxxxxxxx
  4. Robert will not be riding PL due to clashes with his European commitments.
  5. Best wished to Steve. Definitely not nice to hear and hope the lad makes a full recovery.
  6. This is what makes speedway fans look like real saddo's to the rest. Good jobs this isn't being seen by more than 200+ that's viewed this thread.
  7. I agree and what gets me also is when people being their newborns to their work place to show off like a new car. OK, you're proud but work colleagues really couldn't give a sh...... I just don't get it at all
  8. As much as we'd love Woffy in the top 10 you'd have to be fairly deluded to think he'd come above any of the top 10 picked. In fact, the biggest crime is not having Phil Taylor in the selection. He's in his 50's for goodness sake and he's probably had the best year of his life still pushing the game of darts to an incredible level. What I will say though, if Woffy goes on to win another Worldy in the next couple of years there will be justification. Speedway (and rightly so) is well well well down the pecking order. I think the 10 selected is probably the best top 10 selected in many years IMO.
  9. http://www.speedway365.com/gb-to-face-aussies-in-swc/ Well, that's the Russian's not turning up again. Garranteed race-off spot I suppose
  10. Exactly. The riders should choose where they want to be not a stupid draft system. It's just unaffordable at £120 minimum If I was a drafted rider that had to travel 100's of miles knowing I'm only likely to earn £120 I'd just touch the tapes in all rides and wait to be fired and try to make the other league's pay.
  11. All Brits, every single one of them should be allowed to ride PL if they so wish and PL team wishes to employ them as long as they're not racing in any of the league's on the Continent. Regardless of average or age we have to try and keep our own employed. Riding in the EL alone isn't financially viable
  12. You are kidding right???? The BSPA are expecting these boys to ride 4-5 times a week in 3 different leagues for what could be as little as £600 in wages. That isn't development, that's slavery with the current costs of participating in this sport. The BSPA have no thought for the future of our own rider's yet again just the same old self interest bullpoop.
  13. Really??? We know how some teams like to bend rules so here's how that rule will work and I will use the biggest benders in the game, Poole. Rider at No'1 has 2 0's. Another has 2 wins. What happens next???
  14. No he isn't. Jake Knight hasn't quit. He rode for us in the NL when dropped from Sheffield and is looking for NL / PL again next season.
  15. Is alright telling people to wind their necks in but the likes of Birks, Auty, Howarth and Lawson could now miss out as their averages may not be appealing to how teams may be set up. So we give some kids a chance but bin off the more established kids. Excellent idea isn't it, dear oh dear
  16. This seems like an absolute disaster of an AGM to me. I'll be interested to know how this NL reserve rule will work. Are these rider's from the 2013 season or do they have to be NL in 2014. If the latter that will be King's Lynn screwed over as we'll miss out on the use of Lewis Kerr and Robert Lambert who are 2 kids that deserve the opportunity. Feel absolutely dreadful for the Panther's fans. Their worst nightmare has come true and the EL has lost one of, if not the best track in the the UK I'm actually feeling pretty sad about that AGM statement
  17. Your right but let's forward 12 months as an example and Craig Cook, Chris Harris, Scott Nicholls etc end up with 9.50 averages they become unemployable to clubs that can afford top stars and then comes the return of Holder, Ward, Iversen etc and we're back to square one after just one season. Lowering the average is a 1 season fix that will fix nothing
  18. Unless I'm mistaken I thought it was always 3 points for a win before the introduction of the latest points system? If so big wins at home change nothing but only just winning at home benefits the away side. Reintroducing the bonus point will be a disaster and a major backward step. That will end up encouraging teams to be built for home advantage looking for big 30+ point wins. It's easier to build a team for home victories than trying to build one for away results. The current scoring system encourages teams to at least look for some kind of home and away balance within the sides. We really must not lose one of the BSPA's best ever rules. Move the sport forward not back
  19. Speedway use to, then Sky came along and British Speedway has slowly declined further and further ever since. In fact, since the introduction of Sky I'd go as far as that's when promoters stopped promoting and became reliant on false financing rather than concentrating on their main financial sponsor of all. The supporters

  21. The speedway World Cup returns to Kings Lynn for 2014 That indicates that Belle Vue won't be ready for 2014 http://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/2999/sgp--swc-2014-calendars
  22. So, how would you make the split??? All the Midland's teams will want to be together which is likely to be in the southern group. King's Lynn will want to be partnered with Peterborough, Ipswich, Rye House and the Midland's clubs as they're all within about 2 1/2 hours of each other. None of the EL clubs except Belle Vue will want to be part of a Northern group. Wouldn't be cost affective to be travelling up to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Berwick, Redcar and Workington. The split just isn't going to happen anytime soon.
  23. I don't think the BSI / SGP have anything to fear over the SEC series. A pretty poor standard of riders for what should be Europe's best. They paid huge wages to the top 5-6 riders they then had to throw in some cheap bottom end riders to make it affordable.
  24. Is more accurate than the "generalisation" of foreign rider's that people have that is way way of the mark. What I do agree with though, also mentioned earlier is that foreign riders on a lower average than they were assessed on shouldn't be allowed but is that harsh on those assessed on 7+ averages??? Maybe capping their lowest average to 5.00 in both league would be more accurate. If Brits require a helping hand that has to be the way. The Swedes have got it right for next season with Phil Morris Tweeting that Svemo have given all Swedish under 21's a2 point starting average and all Swedes under 25 a 25% average reduction. Will the BSPA grow some balls or continue to hide being the European Law bullsheet
  25. I believe there is a major misconception when it comes to what international riders receive from clubs. There are some extreme examples but in the main most riders from abroad still have to find their own way. It's only the young potential superstars that gets sponsors & clubs throwing stuff at them but that about 2 out of 10. That is no different to potential young British superstars. Tai Woffinden is one example and now potentially Robert Lambert but they still had to work their bloody asses off. You tend to find also that a lots of the sponsorship logos on foreign riders equipment are from abroad anyway and the majority buy their own gear. You regularly hear of foreign riders asking for and getting paid LESS than Brits. Something else that needs clearing up is this nonsense that flights are paid for. Again, there are some extremes but nearly all foreign riders have to pay and organise their own travel expense. It's been that way since the mid to late 90's. The only travel expenses covered are those from base to away track. Whether that's the airport, UK home etc. No different to how the British rider's are treated. Some people don't like Twitter but I can tell you, it's a massive education in attitude differences between Brits & our foreign counterparts. While the Brits like to pee about having great nights out getting off their face chasing birds about the foreign guys are all about advertising themselves, searching sponsorship, searching out clubs, training hard, practising hard, already building equipment for next year etc etc. Truth hurts but it's absolutely correct what someone has put on here earlier. Brits expect it to be handed on a plate and go out and p!ss it up. Here's my opinion. Get off ya lazy ass and go get it done. The hardest working and the best always find a way to the top. IMO the international riders have it tougher but they work harder to establish them selves.
