  1. We do have our backs to the wall for sure but double points from all 3? Kerr yes, but not necessary as Simon Lambert is a good 2nd reserve so should make up in that position. Robert Lambert & Porsing only need to hit 12-14 between them I feel. Where the stepping up needs to be done is with Schlein. Nothing less than 10 from him is needed. I'm not convinced he's got it in his pocket right now. In this EL Bjerre should be ok after watching him in the Polish Play-Off yesterday. Still gating very well and Nicholls will give all he's got. There is stepping up to be done but most of that has to come from our captain. Going around ranting and raving at his team mates when he's only scoring 3's & 4's is ridiculous. He needs to concentrate on his own job tonight and leave the rest to Rob
  2. Wouldn't it make more sense to withdraw after heat 9 then with Newman coming in as a reserve switch in heat 7??
  3. Like I've said previously, I don't want to see a squad system as that would give the richer clubs the chance to soak up the better riders and never use them. I think any rider should be allowed to guest from the Swedish Elitserien & Polish Ekstraliga 4 time per UK team. Similar to the reserve draft system currently. Riders with a British Elite League averages from the last 2 years use that or: Ekstraliga average Elitserien average Those in both leagues, these averages are combined Is quite a simple process to implement
  4. So looking forward to tomorrow night. Just hope the supporters turn up and make loads of noise. We should not be scared of the Dorset Mafia We can win this
  5. He and Zagar have both said they'll not accept any guest bookings. It's why for both Poole and King's Lynn it's exceptionally tough to find heatleader guests
  6. Correct as there's certainly nobody around to guest that's a good enough replacement. We have to take the risk
  7. We need to be in dreamland Monday night and go to Poole with a 15 point lead. It ain't impossible Think Big, Win Big
  8. After last night's ELRC Lambert is a concern. Janowski & Milik were terrific yet our 2 as comparison were terrible. We really need our boys to ride above themselves because the different in quality was frightening. This really is Poole's to lose. Schlein can't be counted on and an unfit Bjerre could be disastrous. So, we need to be that 8th man and show our support and be exceptionally loud. Forget you inhibitions, we need to go fookin mental COME ON STARS!!!!!!!!! King at 1, Cook at 2, both terrific from the gate. Half the battle done already
  9. After finding an excuse to justify the £25 in the end the racing was absolutely worth the £25. All bar 2 riders put everything into it and as a paying punter that what we want to see. Although only finishing 3rd, Doyle was my rider of the night. There was no such thing as team mates last night as the eventual winner Batchelor really chucked his bike at Kildermand who pulled up after that and withdrew. Suffering from brown-pants syndrome. Some brilliant passing anywhere on track, that has been few and far between at the NA this season but I suppose all riders being of similar standard would encourage that. It does prove though that there's absolutely nothing wrong with our track. Sounds like the riders next season wants the ELRC back at King's Lynn with Doyle having a swipe at Coventry's circuit. If it is back here, no moaning from me next time, they can have my money. Very enjoyable
  10. I did say at present and at present Bjerre is still on the injury list as he didn't ride for his Polish club last night. We may well have a guest for either or but R/R for Ward does not make Poole weaker than us at this present time.
  11. R/R for Ward and you're saying is over. We have no Iversen & Bjerre and no guests at present. Aww bless poor Poole
  12. 4+1 & 10+2 from Cook in the No'5 position compared to Josh's 4 & 7+1. Not even up for discussion who's stronger
  13. Agreed, Cook makes Poole way stronger than they were with Josh
  14. So, who are these riders that would put Kings Lynn 1st in your mind over contacts elsewhere I.e. Swedish, Polish League etc? You have to bear in mind that the riders that have top quality equipment are those that are earning their money away from the UK in the main. Unfortunately, British Speedway just can't call the tune. Not even to British riders. Even their ambition is to get jobs in Sweden and Poland to make a decent, more profitable living. Robert Lambert had also done the right thing for his career to ride on a German licence which kills any bully boy tactics from the BSPA. Riders putting Kings Lynn 1st, there's not a level in our leagues where that will happen. British Speedway is 2nd fiddle.
  15. I'd rather have Stead than Mads. Electric starts is what we need and Mads isn't that. He's a chaser racer not a gater. Nicholls and Stead would be my choices round the NA at least if Bjerre isn't fit
  16. In hindsight maybe but I believe going 1st was the right thing to do. Dodgy weather, crashes, curfews etc it would have been crazy to have risked riding 2nd.
  17. One thing you can say about Poole. They'll have everything sorted with every avenue thoroughly checked. Agreed, their guests will be done and dusted
  18. Let's get behind the boys. Tough ask but would be terrific if we can kill the virus in speedway
  19. Top sides can deal with an off form heatleader with strong 2nd strings.
  20. We know it's the British Poole Pirate Elite League but good god. They're not even riding
  21. I'm struggling to find an excuse to go. Likely no Kenneth or Niels for us and £25. Just no appeal when you've seen the SWC at King's Lynn for £15. Value for money it is not
  22. Here's a radical idea that just popped in my head. I think we should run with a North / South Premier League like mentioned in the original post, racing any day of the week except a Monday. No GP / SEC riders etc. On the Monday night have an Elite 4's tournament. Depending on the number of teams interested it could be 8 teams split between North / South or 16 teams split North / South / East / West. Either way it's groups of 4 teams, 4 riders at 4 tracks (example; Kings Lynn, Ipswich, Peterborough, Rye House) 2v2 GP / SEC etc riders included (max of 2 per team + any of your top 4 from Premier League team) 13 heat format Standard heat race points (3-2-1-0) Heat 13 is the top riders from each team (Individual Final) Meeting points per team, 1st (4pts) 2nd (3pts) 3rd (2pts) 4th (0pts) North / South, top 2 qualify for final North / South / East / West, top qualify for final A maximum of 8 Monday fixtures per team (2 at home) Something along those lines would create interest and could generate an interest in fans travelling away (3 sets of away support rather than 1)
