  1. Stop playing games, everyone knows you're Steve Hone. Starman is the first person to spot it, what a guy Phil Rising, you should have this guy do some detective work for the Speedway Star rather than selling it to 5 people a week. A bright kid this one with a big future.
  2. Know exactly what you mean. This is our clubs 50th anniversary and I don't think I've known a more flat atmosphere around the club ever. Last Thursday I was so bored. Maybe my expectations were set to high but the show Schlein put on really has made me think long and hard with regards to value for money. I just felt so let down last week
  3. Absolutely, most of the time rider's are chatting amongst themselves with a "couldn't give a sh!+ about the fans but I'll go round with my hand half up to look interested" on parade. The same can be said for the heat victory lap (most just turn straight back to the pits though) & the victory parade. The whole presentation of British Speedway is a disgrace and it was highlighted even more so at Rory Schlein's testimonial
  4. On any normal home meeting we'd smash Lakeside but being on Sky and the predicted weather, Tuesday will be anything but normal
  5. First league meeting of the season so WAS looking forward to this but it looks like the weather may interfere. With it being on Sky, predict an away win
  6. It was announced as a quick interval last night due to stoppages. If 15 mins is a quick interval it's gonna be a long season
  7. Was IMO an extremely poor meeting. A couple of good battles but in the main well strung out heats. Hope all injured rider's are back asap
  8. That's not true though is it. 15-16yo's are not the next big thing ever. At 20-22 they're still extremely young but you start to establish their mentality for the sport. 1 World title doesn't make a legend but multiples do. You win 1 World title, can you be the next big thing to win many more. This is the position Woffy is at IMO
  9. OMG, are these kids even allowed to breath without being branded the next big things. Time is required and when a rider has had 5+ years in the top flight is the time to judge whether there's World Champion potential. Once bird's & beer get in their life that hope it's evaporated quickly.
  10. That idea was scrapped early doors after many riders complained due to some having difficulty reaching the floor with their feet while on their bikes Edit: Amended start procedure 15.3.1 Riders may prepare their Start area, whilst in full, personal control of their motorcycle, including having the Cut-Out Lanyard attached, and with their motorcycle facing the direction of racing.
  11. Can't take anything from these meetings. It's the 1st team event for both teams, it's not about the winning. It's a perfect chance to iron out issues be it equipment or riding order's etc
  12. Thinking outside the box. Install the lift to the loft. That's the justification of pointless expense
  13. I don't get this procedure at all. All it means is the guy rolled in first gets extra gardening time over the others. 2mins clock, that's all that's required
  14. I'm very much a Stars fan thanks, not a fan of a joke competition if that's ok?? I'm not going to be blinkered like the Poole fans last year over what is a farce. The dream for me is to see my team win the Elite League, that is the ultimate and I'm looking forward to seeing us try again in that for 2015 Genuinely hope you & other Stars fans enjoy your time over there, it's not for me
  15. We'll be lucky to finish 4th. We have a terrible side compared to the other 3 teams and nobody is expecting anything more. At the end of the day, it's a sh!+€ speedway competition that most British Speedway fans couldn't really give 2 monkeys about.
  16. Peterborough now looking for a short term replacement of Roynon. Better hope they don't perform or the new racesuit will a wardrobe ornament
  17. That may be the case but what I was getting at really was that there's nothing in the 2015 regulations that says the legs part of the reacesuits have to be black
  18. It looks like this has changed / been missed from the 2015 regulations that the Racesuits have to be predominantly black on the legs The only image I've seen this being tested is NKI's new suit at King's Lynn's Press & Practice where he's gone predominantly blue http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i467/KLStars127/Iversen_zpswjauohxc.jpg
  19. Of course they can sign Woffy or Killer if their averages fit. You're making it up.
  20. I think Risager would have gone on to be World class but for injuries. That 1st leg break set him back and never really recovered from picking up further injuries along the way which absolutely hammers confidence. This will be Lambert's test, recovery from injuries. Mental strength As I've said before, at the moment Lambert is a carbon copy of Chris Harris. Great to watch as a racer but can't gate for toffee. Time will tell, he may be a slow burner then bang in his top form from his mid to late 20's. Every rider is different.
  21. Wrong, 2 over 7 is for the start of the season only. After the 1st set of averages, teams can do as they please. If every rider has a 10+ average they can be replaced like for like. I can only see the 2 over 7 rule being enforced for redeclaration. There's no way if Holder gets injured Poole would only be allowed a 6.99 replacement if North or Watt up their averages.
  22. AustralianSGP is the last round where the World Champion will be crowned
  23. It is a hard call but I'm gonna make my 8th - 1st attempt + Play-Off winners 8th - Wolverhampton - Just look utterly dreadful. I think they'll be a huge gap between them and 7th. 7th - Leicester - 2 rider's in the top 5 that are way past their best and riders not great at gating on a gaters track. 6th - Lakeside - ok at home but are just gonna get wacked about away. Only Jonsson will offer any consistency. 5th - Coventry - Consistent 7 point men in the top 3 positions but will suffer in the middle order with Jamrog & Robson. Saving grace to nudge Swindon out of 4th could be the reserves but are known to fall when in vital point scoring positions. 4th - Swindon - The Poles are bound to go missing, whether it's through form or their Polish clubs putting bans on them. This could cause them to just drop out of the top 4 but firmly believe they have a saving grace with the top reserve pairing. 3rd - King's Lynn - huge reliance on Porsing & Lambert for me to improve & push for Schlein's position as 3rd heatleader. More important than the reserve positions for me but if these 2 fall short, a finish as low as 6th is likely. 2nd - Belle Vue - I can't see a weakness at all. A solid top man with the rest of the top 5 possibly chopping and changing with easy 2nd string rides. 1st & Play-Off winners - Poole - no surprise. Gomolski & North to be replaced asap when their averages rise plus the 2nd best reserve pairing. Untouchable from June onwards.
  24. I think you'll find, everyone is being hugely sarcastic.
  25. Yep, agree with Steve0 & Trees. Purely aimed at winding up the Pirates. Quite frankly, I could give a poop. Fully focused on the new 2015 season
