  1. Emil has withdrawn from the Vetlanda team. No idea on the replacement
  2. Sh!+ meeting I thought. Crowd was very good again though. Very very impressed with Nick Morris Just to add, with our form tonight we'd have been beaten imo had Kildermand & Batchelor been available for Swindon
  3. calm ya skinz ol' boy. Things move on, can't expect people to chuck on showaddywaddy just for your liking & exclude da yoovs speedway is so desperate to encourage
  4. Does ride for Ostrovia in Poland but are all your home meetings Sunday's??? A 7.95 PL average he would be given
  5. It seems Peterborough are between a rock and a hard place in replacing Allen. If a riders doesn't already have a PL average the Premier League can't bring in an EL rider who's EL average is over 6. Seems daft to me In the same token though, another Stars rider who could do with the extra racing (Nicklas Porsing) could be a decent replacement and is living over here so could make things a little easier???
  6. Easy, Danny scores a 15 point max and Lynn win by a point. Sorted
  7. I can't understand why Nicholls keeps getting mentioned, he ain't interested
  8. It's not about excitement, it's about development and our youngsters are not going to get it from the BSPA as a whole. That responsibility has been left with the GB manager to manage With regards to Kennett and Lawson, trick track averages do nothing for international competitions and King just isn't up to it. Time to move on
  9. I use to be of the same opinion but I think we really need to push on with youth and that means using them at every level. The problem with test matches we've had over here in recent years is the opposition isn't of the highest calibre so our young guys don't know what they need to change to be the best or better. The BSPA are not a GB friendly association and there's no future in using 30 something rider's every year. The Stead's, King's and even Lawson who is 29 offers no international future. I've got my fingers crossed Rosco will give us something different along the lines of what Rob Lyon wanted to achieve and not the same old clap trap Midlo dished us up in his tenure
  10. Based on giving experience to an up and coming rider that's doing well in the Elite League. Premier League form is irrelevant when looking at playing international cards.
  11. One things for certain, no EL fast track rider should be anywhere near the squad. There's a reason they're in those positions I.e. they're nowhere near ready. For me the main picks would be: Woffinden Harris Lambert Howarth Squad fill in's: Stead Cook Lawson
  12. I think that's more like it and as to why Leicester keeps the Saturday race day. Quite often away teams were with guests at Eastbourne too. Ok, Leicester's crowds are decent now but it won't take long before people get fed up
  13. Well, considering the standard of our last 2 meeting tonight was brilliant. Close racing, plenty of passing and no tractor racing. I believe the racing was hugely improved due to the fact the track was left which allowed it to develop different racing lines. Mr Buster Chapman, more of that please
  14. You need a trip to Santa Pod if straight line speed gets you excited. That's certainly not why I watch speedway. If the racing is crap, it's crap & it's been crap 2 weeks on the trot. That's the be all and end all. How fast they go doesn't mean an awful lot to be fair.
  15. This was originally King's Lynn v Poole but Poole withdrew and Lakeside were the only side to step in to fill the Sky schedule
  16. I've said and agree, our track isn't what it was & it hasn't been for some time but it had nothing to do with tonight. An NL side would have put up a better battle than Lakeside tonight. The reason we win 'track of the year' year on year is down to it's consistency & riders trust in it. It certainly doesn't win race track of the year and it hasn't been a racing circuit for a good 7-8 years. At most, we get 2-3 good races a meeting and probably 1 great 1 amongst those of we're lucky. But the showing tonight can only lay blame at 1 teams door. They never even got close enough for rear wheel chasing.
  17. Think we could argue all night about it Regarding Kerr's crash it clearly showed on the replays he over cooked the backend. Those crashes happen week in week out around the world. Blaming the track for Lakeside's incompetence is taking the argument over the top.
  18. 1 top draw maximum a swan it does not make. Time and space is required
  19. Sky may be the clue?? Almost every meeting on Sky is generally pretty bad is it not?? Track was smooth & slick, exactly what else are we supposed to do to make this an entertaining meeting. Start 15m back every heat?? I will admit and said many times the track hasn't produced top draw racing week in week out but tonight was pure and simple. The visitors added nothing. Lakeside were the only reason for a poor televised meeting. They looked like they weren't even trying
  20. Tonight is just down to extremely poor visitors. Track it smooth enough and prepared better than anywhere in the country with adverse weather conditions We also have to bear in mind that Poole were the original team in this televised meeting but because of their p!$$!ng around over the Ward situation and pulling out, Lakeside were the only team that stepped in to fill the schedule.
  21. Stop playing games, everyone knows you're Steve Hone. Starman is the first person to spot it, what a guy Phil Rising, you should have this guy do some detective work for the Speedway Star rather than selling it to 5 people a week. A bright kid this one with a big future.
  22. Know exactly what you mean. This is our clubs 50th anniversary and I don't think I've known a more flat atmosphere around the club ever. Last Thursday I was so bored. Maybe my expectations were set to high but the show Schlein put on really has made me think long and hard with regards to value for money. I just felt so let down last week
  23. Absolutely, most of the time rider's are chatting amongst themselves with a "couldn't give a sh!+ about the fans but I'll go round with my hand half up to look interested" on parade. The same can be said for the heat victory lap (most just turn straight back to the pits though) & the victory parade. The whole presentation of British Speedway is a disgrace and it was highlighted even more so at Rory Schlein's testimonial
  24. On any normal home meeting we'd smash Lakeside but being on Sky and the predicted weather, Tuesday will be anything but normal
