  1. Does speedway today ever care about the fans? We all know the answer to that
  2. as mentioned earlier, putting 2+2 together it seems the decision was made early on by the rider's in the changing rooms. Sky says hold off the official announcement until they go live on air. This would be why none of the Poole rider's even got changed.
  3. Don't agree, more like today's rider's have no idea how throttle control works & can't manage their set-up's accordingly. We're in a age now where the throttle cable needs to be at it's most stretched.
  4. Thing is, Chapman said it straight after the AGM how he'd of done it very differently. Promoters saying now it wasn't them just look like they're just trying to remove themselves from blame. If so many Promoters were 'disillusioned' after the AGM why on earth was it not recalled?!? They all had plenty of time to fix the EDR problems from day 1.
  5. Keith Chapman said exactly the same thing. Saying if he'd of been chairman for this season he'd of shredded all plans and started again.
  6. Poole never changed because it was never going to be on. Buczkowski made that quite clear with his social media message and rightly so. Would have been more farcical had it gone ahead
  7. Possible line-up 18th May 1. Troy Batchelor 6.91 2. Kai Huckenbeck 4.00 (Rory Schlein 6.49) 3. Robert Lambert 6.46 4. Mads Korneliussen 5.95 5. Davey Watt 6.80 6. Carl Wilkinson 4.32 7. Lewis Rose 3.11 37.55 (40.04) -2.95 (-0.46)
  8. Could Poole be stuck between a rock & a hard place again?? We had this situation a couple of years ago when Poole tried to re-declare a 1-7 before the averages changed but the meeting got postponed, thus meaning the change couldn't be made because the rider hadn't turn a wheel and would of gone above the averages. Could this now be the case with Bjarne Pedersen - Davey Watt's averages?? Just asking a genuine question or has the rules been amended after previous?? ___________________________________________________________________ Just answered my own question - Watt's new average is still higher than Pedersen's after the average changes. So, hypothetically then. Is the rule still in place that a new rider has to race before averages change??
  9. 5 miles to King's Lynn for me. Currently I'm doing 5mtrs to my dinning table to check social media for updates as I can't be bothered to leave the house for that pile of poop.
  10. Crap is harsh but Watt most definitely is not the answer. But let's be honest here, he and Bjerre might be all that's available. We had nothing at the start of the season, can't see a superstar turning up now to fill any voids
  11. Anyone that pays £17 for tonight needs a doctor's appointment
  12. Good PR person or not, Tai is not and should not be solely responsible for bringing the crowds back. This is for British Speedway i.e. the BSPA to deliver on that front.
  13. on current form, certainly can't argue with that. Poole still way to strong for us tonight to let that be of concern to the Pirates
  14. I will be watching the speedway tonight on Skysports with me old man's login. Is that stealing??
  15. You're right, he should be in the British Final but he isn't & wasn't allowed. He had to be at either Semi Final's on dates that just don't work for his calendar. 1 is on GP practice Friday & the other is on the Sunday he's scheduled to race for Wroclaw. It just isn't plausible to expect a GP championship contender to drop Friday practice or break the terms of his Polish contract.
  16. see, forums can be a much nicer place when people can just do that. Let's hope it continues
  17. nope, just the run of the mill negotiations between clubs & riders like any of the top 1-5
  18. After meeting stuff is irrelevant. Us fans need whipping up before & during the meeting. Most people go home straight after heat 15. And the victory laps, you mean the ones where they ride round together chatting no giving a fook about the other side of the safety fence. We might get the occasional 90° arm without a look. That'll whip up a storm
  19. Just a little something Tai relevant https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iC7BxTwtQs&feature=youtu.be
  20. Correct, and hopefully the same thing happens to Nicki Pedersen. Men p!ss me off when they bin of perfectly happy families for money chasing dolly birds. Gullible idiots
  21. Some of the main poster's concerning King's Lynn have and / or are getting close to chucking the towel in on the club, possibly the sport as a whole. What is it we're missing? For me:- Lack of competitive racing Track far to slick Rider interaction (meet the fans at the end of the meeting isn't enough) during a meeting i.e. a genuine showing of passion. Always lifts the atmosphere Need the noise back, in the PL it could be so noisy some away fans branded it the mini Cardiff Those 4 thing's would make a huge difference to me but it does seem as though the club actually couldn't give a sh!+ if we were there or not. Is the sponsorship packages that good these days to not need the supporters? Genuine question........ The scoreline doesn't overly matter, some of the PL 60-30's delivered great racing. Now all the racing is within the 1st lap, Even Iversen or Lambert, genuine racers can't get close against some proper garbage riders
  22. First choice of what? There were no draft picks in 2016. Clubs & riders signed where & who they wanted due to averages. Is he a Leicester asset?
  23. Maybe he showed Ford the 2 fingers for not believing in him this year
  24. Spot on, also reference to the banking. This was also lost when the outside perimeter of the track was brought in and originally wire catch fenced for the stock cars
