  1. You're right, but that's in that clubs interest to do that. The issue here is that the BSPA have decided that interest, that is 100% wrong when Cooks move to the PL is legitimate
  2. You clearly have no interest in British rider's. Cook can't get a ride abroad and not for the want of trying. Him and his team have worked extremely hard to make that happen. You're asking Cook to run a Speedway career on 28 EL league fixtures. Think man ffs
  3. Correct, Belle Vue hold his 2016 registration. If he was changing PL clubs then it would be through said PL club due to priorities. The priorities are with the EL club in this instance
  4. The BSPA want to be so transparent their Twitter account blocked me
  5. I don't like the Panthers but BSPA, YOU'RE A FOOKIN JOKE AND KILLING SPEEDWAY
  6. That's a coincidence Anyway, congrats in getting your job back Bart. Be nice seeing Knudsen's face around the place for the fans too. Probably has a better idea on how to work a team over Havelock too.
  7. Coventry are going to the wall, not the fault of the fans. They're being delivered a poor product and the best way to show unhappiness is to not pay for it. If you keep paying and make your feeling known to the promotion they won't care because you keep coming back. Everyone was warned when Horton took over and I believe it was part of the Sandhu's grand plan to drive the club to the wall. Easier for planning then, especially when he said Horton was the most fit for purpose to take over. Assume the other potential owners at the time were drug dealer's or something if that was the best option.
  8. It's all above board SF. Cook had an average from 2015 which allows him to ride PL. Rider's with PL averages can miss a complete season (2015 - 2017) and drop back down and it's only right that safety net is there. Especially for British rider's. Just can't make it pay with EL alone and with Poland refusing to give him any rides he's fallen back on the PL. Absolutely not problem with that at all.
  9. I know today's meeting was I Germany but Smolinski's performance was good value. May be worth a punt and can't be as expensive as Bottler Bjerre
  10. Double-Up is fine but we shouldn't have the Elite & Premier League's running on the same nights IMO
  11. Yes. It's the rider's choice, nothing to do with British Speedway as such. Some riders have day jobs, some think they can make a living just riding bikes. If the rider's become amateur or professional the costs to the clubs remain the same as they pay points money. Amateur or professional a No'1s or No'7s bills for racing are still the same, it will not bring the clubs costs down
  12. Within sport, everything seems to go round in circles so never say never. The BSPA are critical in making sure they get things right and in place but they're certainly making hard work of it at the moment.
  13. You're probably right but I don't think it'd be the right thing for British Speedway to close the door on Europe's best just to give Brits Elite rides. It would be a backward step
  14. Let go racing!!!! Alright, I'll just watch but let's hope it's worth it Good crowd considering it's mid day mid week meeting
  15. I just think that if we rid the EL of top rider's or the average foreigner it gives our up and coming youngsters false hope of how good they are. It will send British speedway backwards. Olly Allen & Simon Stead nailed it on the podcast this morning, if the young Brits are good enough they'll get a team sport
  16. To Be fair, it's not just the GP guys turning their backs on British Speedway is it? Greg Zengota Leon Madsen Jan Kołodziej Tomas H. Jonasson Martin Vaculik Rune Holta Kenneth Bjerre Adrian Miedziński Mikael Max Piotr Protasiewicz Vaclav Milik Peter Ljung Kacper Gomólski Magnus Zetterstroem Timo Lahti Peter Karlsson Linus Sundstroem Kauko Nieminen Jonas Davidsson That list would make a huge difference the the current standard of the EL that aren't GP riders. Why do they not want to be here? He didn't give Britain a miss, he rides for Belle Vue. He gave the PL a miss to better himself. It hasn't worked so rightly so been given a PL slot to fill the diary Can't argue with that. That's the reason the Elite League SHOULD be 1 or 2 nights a week (Monday / Thursday) & try to get the bigger riders back, then all the British riders that don't race abroad can join the PL.
  17. Absolutely right. Just riding Elite League certainly isn't good for a British rider's career
  18. Everyone knows the Poole track is a disgrace, but never mind. When they relayed it a few seasons ago they did it in a week, it shows not having a pop at you by the way phillipsr
  19. Craig had a team place in Poland. Turns up for every practice session but they refused to pick him on race Sunday. This is the reason he's gone to Peterborough. Nothing to do with the lack of racing for Belle Vue as such. He has tried to get into Sweden but has yet to receive an offer Is it allowed, yes because he was a PL rider last season and the rules state you can miss a season then drop back down if required or be within the set average. He could have a 12 point EL average and still ride PL
  20. I have no idea as I can't think of any tracks in the EL that suffer from being to narrow to be fair. Most certainly track conditions around the UK just are not good enough though. The most important piece of the Speedway jigsaw IMO
  21. An excellent 4th edition of the Home Straight podcast, especially regarding the Fast Track rider's. Give it a listen https://www.acast.com/homestraight/episodefourfeaturingspecialguestsammasters
