Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
Daniel Smith replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Because his own National federation will void his licence if he goes against his Polish clubs ruling so wouldn't be able to fulfil his Leicester commitments anyway. -
Didn't go because I didn't believe for an U21 World Final £20 + £5 to sit in the stand (which I'd have required) offered VFM After watching it on YouTube I feel the decision was justified not to attend. Nobody has given a valid reason for the pricing of this fixture when compared to other's in recent seasons at King's Lynn. Sorry Haza that your so upset by the turn out but clearly many many people didn't believe VFM was on offer. As for Wednesday, if the weather looks shaky, yes I will on the basis of VFM watch it on TV

Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?

Opinions are divided on this forum, no problem with that. It's not clear he's an unpopular British World Champion though. We'll wait for the reaction at Cardiff and the SWC, that'll be far more telling on his popularity. Robert72 is clearly only stating his own opinion and speaking for everybody else -

Next Season...promotion And Relegation....
Daniel Smith replied to Gresham's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Just on that point, Matt Ford has stated that he wants his track to run more league meeting. He believes more is needed not less & is fully aware that he may not see the GP guys no longer. For once, the promoters are trying to look at what's best for British Speedway as a whole and the majority seem to be agreeing more fixtures, 6 man teams & possibly lose the higher earners is the way forward. The promoters have stated this will be trialled in front of fans to before being rubber stamped The only issue I see going forward is the fact this could stifle British riders futures. If Premier League standard is the aim, what does that do for the younger riders i.e. Robert Lambert's etc who by 2018 should be past that standard. Are these guys going to have to give up British Speedway ala Tai Woffinden to better themselves.
