  1. A rider that looks to have improved and is an asset but doesn't currently ride for the Young Stars might be worth a shot in Jake Knight?? No worse option than a Josh Bailey / Tom Stokes imo
  2. That's how it works for all sports. It's up to the others to get better.
  3. We have a bit of a problem in trying to strengthen though, we're already 1.71 above the averages so wholesale changes just ain't possible Think it's obvious 1 change will be Schlein for Korneliussen The other could/should be the Busk Jakobsen position but that only leaves us with 4.15 or less to play with. There's just nobody about who'd be an improvement on that. A different D/U rider would have to be 6.91 or less from the Premier League. Or, you're then looking for a rider that didn't ride in the Polish, Danish, Swedish leagues in 2015 that is 'supposedly better than Jakobsen. Quite frankly, we're in the deep brown stuff & there's no real way out of it
  4. Did we offer any value to this meeting or were we as bad as the 11 heats suggest?
  5. You must be running out of those Pathé clips soon though?
  6. Surprised this hasn't been mentioned as it's the most important thing of all....... Racing
  7. There are rumours on social media Cook has turned down the GP Qualifier in Lonigo & is riding tonight.
  8. That's pretty much out of the Steve Shovlar top drawer What utter guff
  9. Yes but it'll be the other way around that would stop him riding is how I understand it
  10. Turns 1-2 which are normally the busiest areas was very thin on the ground last night imo
  11. Not many complaints from me at all. A lot of fight from the lads when they missed the gates with some good quality passing. Nice little atmosphere as well up in the seats which was good to hear. Score could easily been the other way around but thankfully R.Lambert & Rose showed passing is possible. Track was in the best condition I've seen it for some time to. Down sides: Mads Korneliussen Busk Jakobsen (had the speed and great style to watch but couldn't gate) but it was his 1st meeting so will be let off Attendance, one of the smallest I can remember for some time which must/should be a concern to the promotion
  12. Agree but the figure must be substantial to have the naming rights to the stadium surely?
  13. Flux batters all those sponsors alone. Think you're underestimating their wealth
  14. Is it possible now with the club having decent backing from Adrian Flux, Roger Warnes etc that attendance money is just the 'added bonus'? People turning up or not may not be making any difference in the running of the club, it's all just extra pocket money
  15. Would you say this is fair? Certs to qualify: Bartosz Zmarzlik Patryk Dudek Freddie Lindgren Then any 4 from: Michael Jepsen Jensen Max Fricke Tomas Jedrzejak Robert Lambert Mikkel Bech Thomas H. Jonasson Brady Kurtz Martin Smolinski Craig Cook Nicolas Covatti No chancers: Daniel Gappmeier Paco Castagna Sergei Logachev
  16. Being around the bottom isn't a problem for me, the issue is the disregard of the supporters. When you're having a tough season the promotion should have a plan b-c-d-e to at least look as though they trying to fix it. We have meetings in hand on those in the top 4 currently and we'd be right back in there with a couple of wins. It's just the sense they "can't be assed" and supporters are feeling the same. The attitude at the top has to change & it will rub off onto others. A bit of passion ain't a big ask is it?
  17. Em, who is benefiting from the money raised by the supporters club? Not sure if it has already been mentioned elsewhere?
  18. My frustration is the same as yours but bloody hell that 1st sentence was long. I required an oxygen tank to get through that I think by the fact that the promotion can't be assed it's also rubbing off the riders and definitely the spectators. I'm looking to go to this one all being well simply because it's Belle Vue & they're on the up & to see how R.Lambert struts his stuff against them. The races he's in are the ones I look forward to as anything can happen, hang on, have I just talked myself out of it again £17 for 4-5 races Balls, I get back to ya once I've had a chat with myself
  19. Has to be for Troy. Just doesn't look interested and his point scoring in Denmark ain't being transferred to the Stars. At least with Mads you can see he's putting the effort in
  20. I've really enjoyed the meeting tonight. What is evident and was the case when King's Lynn were Premier League, the riders care more and entertain the paying public. Everything that was on show tonight was everything that's missing from the Elite League Congratulations to Glasgow and a valiant effort from Edinburgh
  21. What I'd seen elsewhere I believe they've missed a zero in that report. Was previously reported at £40,000
  22. 2 season's running we're expected to spend our hard earned on garbage performances & inept management. Only attended 3 of the 7 home fixtures so far. Over the last 20 years only missed 1-2 meeting in previous seasons but I'm not feeling the VFM from Speedway any more. Weather pending I may give this one a shot, should be good for a humiliation & a rant. Teams Confirmed: KING’S LYNN: Niels-Kristian Iversen Lewis Rose Troy Batchelor Robert Lambert Mads Korneliussen Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen Simon Lambert BELLE VUE: Matej Zagar Steve Worrall Scott Nicholls Max Fricke Craig Cook Richie Worrall Joe Jacobs
  23. What edges Nicholls over Harris is the fact that he's still racing in Poland & Sweden on a weekly basis scoring decent points & Belle Vue is his home track. Harris has been garbage everywhere except for riding for Coventry
