  1. I tend to not go with any Poles as they seem to come up against some kind of mental block on the World stage. If I was to pick one it would be Zmarzlik One other I'm looking forward to seeing on the comeback trail would be Drabik, looks the real deal that kid At the moment I can't see past Woffinden & Sayfutdinov in the immediate future
  2. You do make me chuckle Stevie Boi Everything that come out of Wolverhampton Speedway is gospel, promoters & riders never tell little fibs to suit an agenda I see no reason to disbelieve what Phil The Ace is saying & Woffy himself said he'd like to race their every week
  3. No Buster, no team and he knows it. Our club is falling apart though and he's failing to see it Our club was at its best in the Premier League era, since moving to the EL the soul is being sucked out
  4. I assume you're referring to a comment made regarding Woffy's appreciation of Belle Vue?
  5. nice one, spirit of the sport & ringers coming from a Poole fan
  6. Fully expecting this to be called off. Weather giving us a great opportunity to do so. If it's on, best advice is for all Stars fans to save their rain-off tickets for a better meeting
  7. Someone was a little desperately excited to get the news on the forum first they keeps hitting to 'Post' button a bit too often
  8. This is Wolves, it's likely to be Watt, Bjerre or Beck returning. Woffinden would be crackers to take the BEL gig now imo
  9. That's the point, it would have to be a substantial amount of wet sand / water within the airfence to have an effect when a bike rattles into it 70+mph You're right that these fences lifting is madness but a solution of putting ANYTHING in the bottom of an airfence to weight it down IS just as lethal
  10. When talking safety, basic physics would tell you wet sand / water in an airfence is as deadly as hitting a solid fence. It is utter utter madness to even considered it
  11. If I was travelling into an airfence at 70mph I certainly wouldn't want wet sand or water in the bottom of the fence. Do a bellyflop from a 10 meter diving board & you'll get the gist of why that'll be a very bad idea. That's at half the speed of going into the airfence
  12. So, what is it that makes the AFA better than the 3 you first mention?
  13. You sure about that statement? What does the AFA have that Glasgow, Sheffield, Kent, Coventry, Poole etc don't? King's Lynn is vastly improved on the old version i agree but let's no kid ourselves that we have some kind of super stadium. It isn't as good as those I've mentioned I'd argue.
  14. Nothing to say about this meeting except for Coventry's air fence - answers required as it's a death trap. Might aswell not be there, disgraceful.
  15. As long as it passes all the required regulations who cares
  16. Presentation is stuck in the 70's then you use the razmatazz To bring it more up to date the presentation has t b sick bra'
  17. Nothing wrong with 15 heats just the format of those 15 heats. New riders are coming through all the time but just not a the pace required to get Britain back on top of the World stage. Only money can fix that but there just isn't enough to throw around. We already have a 250 & 500 junior series, a development league structure and of course the National League.
  18. Nothing's wrong with what you suggest for the kids but that's not what you're original post was about. You said fans feel ripped off with just 15 heats and a return to 2nd halfs would improve that. The fact is you were incorrect as over history has proven with the old 2nd halfs & the current Development Leagues, 2/3's of the crowds ain't interested. To feel you've had VFM this has to come from the main event. 2nd halfs & DL meetings do not add anything.
  19. That is how the original SWC format worked. Winners of the 2 semi's into the final then top 2 from the race-off. The reason it changed was the fact that if the host nation didn't make the final the were no crowds. Think this happened in Sweden & Poland if my memory is serving me correctly that the stadiums were half empty for the SWC final.
