Hans Back Riding In Poland Today☺
Daniel Smith replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Here's the rule again: "16.3.4.1:- A 7-day window, prior to the scheduled date of the first EL Play-Offs will enable EL Clubs only to replace long-term Injured riders, but not with riders in other EL Team Declarations." Now, being sensible the wording "long-term" can be interpreted in two ways Season ending from the date of the 7 day window Been out of action for a period prior to the Play-Offs "long-term", what does that mean? When creating rules surely there should be a figure allocated to that and to what side of the 7 day window the injury is to be classed as "long-term"? There's also this rule: "16.3.4:- No Team changes will be allowed after 28th August with the effective date being 31st August, except for riders returning to the Team after injury." This tells me that if things don't work out for Lindbäck and Andersen feels he's ready he can be reintroduced for the Play-Off Final if Poole make it. The other issue regarding Lindbäck's average, as I've said previously I think that was fair and individual events can't be used as a comparative tool. League team averages only and within the regulations only the previous seasons figures (2015) could have been used. Elitserien 2015 - 7.58 NICE Liga 2015 - 8.75 (2nd tier conversion x0.6) 5.25 2015 = 6.42 The only thing that has come up fishy for me is the Pedersen injury. -

What Would You Like From The Agm
Daniel Smith replied to kingbee's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Transparency - that's all that's required from the AGM. For 2017 a complete assessed average rider list for all riders from (Ekstraliga - NICE Liga) - (Elitserien - Allsvenskan) - (Metal Speedway League) all open and visible to the public. Minimum average is 5.00. No alterations after an assessed average is given during the 2017 season. All other leagues / riders are assessed at 4.50. Return to the last used 15 Heat format. 2016 EDR riders averages reduced by 20% -

Bored of all the other stuff going on around the play-offs so fancied something different What could possibly be the worst Stars7 for 2017? Current 40.5 average limits 1. Craig Cook 7.37 2. Lewis Bridger 5.94 3. Nicholai Klindt 6.36 4. Davey Watt 5.40 5. Chris Harris 6.62 6. Josh Auty 4.90 7. James Sarjeant 3.77 40.36 -
Poole Sign Lindback
Daniel Smith replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well I have to be honest, I got sucked into believing Andersen's injury was season ending and gave Poole the benefit of the doubt as the injury was genuine. This is without question, a breaking of the rule. Disappointed -
Got to be a little suspect if Coventry are running EL next season. Loan fees to pay for 2/3 EL heatleaders or an exceptionally garbage side on the cheap as can't see KK being at Coventry either?

It is great some supporters are still really enthusiastic about Speedway. Unfortunately for most of us the negatives far outweigh the positives. Attendances prove this. Also proven by the attendances of Play-Off finals by how many Speedway fans come out. Speedway in this country could be really healthy but every year BSPA and more importantly, promoters running their clubs appallingly. Honestly, imo Speedway should fall back to basics and start again. Scrap double points, tac subs etc. Every rider has 4 programmed rides and a nominated heat 15 - done. Only have rider's committed to all fixtures. Put on some genuine entertainment for the fans

Wildcards 2017.....

Couldn't Sayfutdinov be seeded straight to the GP Challenge rather than do the qualifying rounds? -
King's Lynn Stars 2017
Daniel Smith replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Wouldn't mind Andersen at King's Lynn if Poole don't want him -
Always use to book my holidays around Speedway fixtures, for the first time this season I've only been to half the home fixtures. Next season could be even less, the only reason to attend now is if my little girl fancies going. She went to her first meeting last week (King's Lynn v Poole) and loved it. Almost 2 now and she can't stop going "bikes, noise, let's go". She's maybe likely to have forgotten about it by next March but she does watch it on TV so I'll have to wait and see. Basically, my attendance in future could be down to a 2 year old

can't agree, imo it's been really enjoyable. Brilliant close racing

Poole Sign Lindback

Lindbäck riding like a 7 point man tonight. BSPA are a switched on crew -
Poole Sign Lindback

Can see why people are upset but Poole have done everything by the book. These issues are with the BSPA and nobody else. -
King's Lynn Stars 2017

Can't gate for toffee and that alongside Lambert would be a nightmare. Adrian Flux Arena has turned into a trappers paradise and we're desperate for some in our team just to turn over heat wins. -
Harris alongside Doyle at Swindon is my guess. Don't think he'll be a good fit for us at King's Lynn as we're desperate for trappers. Harris & Lambert in the same team would be my worst nightmare.

Seen that so Poole's team change is absolutely 'bob on' & hats off to Matt Ford once again being ahead of the rest -
Poole Sign Lindback

In terms of Lindbäck's reassessed average it's spot on. Being a GP rider is totally irrelevant when giving riders assessed averages. It's all to do with how they've performed in foreign league competitions based on the previous season. In 2015 Lindbäck obtained a 7.58 average in the Elitserien. Lindbäck also only raced the Polish 2nd tier in 2015 with an 8.75 average. With those figures a 7.00 is the absolute maximum the BSPA could possibly give after being away from the British League for more than 3 years. The only thing that doesn't sit correct is if Hans Andersen rides in the Euro's on Saturday. If he does his injury status isn't season ending & long term, only then could & should Lindbäck's inclusion be contested. IMO, the press release from Poole is either premature or they know Hans isn't going to be available Saturday. -

Kings Lynn V Poole Elb 13/09/16
Daniel Smith replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Wilko wouldn't have been riding if we'd of had a fully fit squad 1. Iversen 2. S.Lambert 3. R.Lambert 4. Huckenbeck 5. Batchelor 6. Porsing 7. Rose But still believe Poole would have taken all 4 points by at least a 10 point margin if they'd also have had Andersen in their team. Would also of been an even better meeting too imo -

Thoroughly enjoyed tonight's meeting regardless of the result. Considering nothing was really on this meeting a few rider's were really putting themselves about, great to see. For me, rider of the night was Holder, an absolute joy when he's on it and flexed his muscles on Lambert in heat 6. Also, a new fan has been born tonight. My daughters first meeting and she absolutely loved it. Maybe her beaming face and enthusiasm may rekindle the love for this sport. Kids really do see it for what it is. -
Kings Lynn V Poole Elb 13/09/16

I'd have chosen Wednesday. Niels is missing anyway but we'd of had the added bonus of no Batchelor -
Poole have to get there first. Not a forgone conclusion, especially if they (most likely) face Wolverhampton in the semi's.
-
yep, really. Couldn't see him pulling up any trees around a Monmore or Blunsdon as they're quite technical. No matter how good a rider is in Poland & Sweden these British tracks always nips em' on the bum
-
I genuinely don't believe Poole are doing anything untoward here. Andersen is injured, had an operation and wants to risk Saturday. The likelihood of him aggravating the injury is high. I'm not seeing the issue if a change is made. In fact, a change will weaken Poole as imo guests would be Poole's better and stronger option if Andersen isn't available. There's not 1 rider out there this late in the season that will make a significant difference, not even a Dudek.
